I dined here with my partner on a Wednesday night. Service was great, our waiter was friendly and funny. We ordered an eye fillet, duck risotto and a lemon mascarpone gateaux(special) for dessert. They were all great and the steak was cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner however it's definitely a restaurant not a pub. Don't expect cheap beer or a pool table.

A wonderful setting for a quality dining experience in Halls Gap. A wide ranging menu at reasonable prices with efficient friendly service made celebrating our grand daughters arrival even more memorable so much so we went for a farewell dinner the next evening and we're not disappointed.

Darcy's Restaurant is located at one of Halls Gap's premier accommodation establishments - Comfort Inn Country Plaza Halls Gap. Seating up to 70 people Darcy's Restaurant is open Monday to Saturday nights from 6pm onwards and bookings are encouraged. The restaurant does close on Public Holidays but will open for large groups. The menu which is a fusion of Australian and Nepalese cuisine is complemented by a wine list that comprises mainly wines from the Grampians and Pyrenees Regions. Groups are always welcome and Darcy's Restaurant is available for weddings, corporate events, private dinner parties and special events. There is ample parking onsite and the Restaurant is within easy walking distance to the town centre. Come in and try some of the specialities such as the locally farmed slow braised Boer-cross Goat Curry or the Roasted Duck Shanks accompanied by a wine from The Gap Vineyard. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised at the value and quality of the meals prepared by 2 of the Region's best chefs.
Staff friendly. Dining room clean and tidy, a bit out-dated and '80s looking and unfortunately smelled of industrial bathroom cleaner. I had Atlantic Salmon & seafood dish which was very nice. Hubby had hot stone grill and meat was tender and tasty. Table water was tap water and tasted strongly of chlorine, which detracted from flavours of meal. Shame really as it's not hard to provide filtered water. No local wines available by the glass. Overall ok but a little bit pricey.

We are a modern Australian style cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and occasionally hosting dinners featuring live music! We have a passion for excellent coffee, fresh locally produced food, craft beer, local wine, and live music!
Our meal was delicious however we missed out on the salmon so went back the next day and just missed the last one so go early for the salmon.

We provide our customer pure indian cuisine cook by our exprience and qualified chefs with beautiful Grampians view. Our price per head start from $15 to 45 suite according to your budget. $1 Eftpos charge apply to every transaction.
Others have written about the eccentric elements to this restaurant ,which has a garden filled with statues which you are warned not to touch and that you are under 24 hour surveillance .After eating a lot of Indian food in my time throughout the world and India I would question whether much of what is on an ostensibly very wide Indian restaurant menu actually bears much resemblance to quality Indian food. The Dal makhani had so much tomato in it it tasted more like an Italian dish. The naan bread really came out as roti . Had we not been so hungry after our walk that we would have beaten the leg off a table, we probably would have left a fair bit of this food on that table. I know sometimes it is silly to expect big things in isolated places it is certainly not a four and a half Star restaurant

The Views Restaurant & Bar has the best veiws in Halls Gap. Sit and have a delicious meal and watch the abundant wildlife that will entertain you whilst you enjoy beautifully presented food and experience the type of friendly service you expect. An experience not to be missed when visiting the Grampians.
The waitresses were great, all down hill from there, from frozen microwaved dumplings to margarine served with the bread loaf, apple sauce straight from the jar and the worst pork belly I have eaten, it was hard to find any positives. Definitely shouldn’t be #3 restaurant in halls gap. Disappointed and a waste of a night on our short trip away.

Service was friendly and relatively fast, and all the dishes we ordered were great.
The ribs in particular were fantastic - both myself and one of my sons really enjoyed them - although it would have been nice to have salad with the ribs, instead of a handful of pickled cucumbers.
One of my daughters enjoyed one of the fish dishes, the other son enjoyed a great pizza.
Great food all round.

This hotel is very relaxed, with a wonderful outdoor deck and dining area overlooking the Grampians. Food was excellent and prices very reasonable. The selection of beers and wines was surprisingly good. Its a lovely place to spend a while, enjoying the sunset and a glass of local wine.
The owners have done a great job creating a lovely experience!

Online menu showed plenty of kids meal options so assumed it was family friendly place. Outside setting is intriguing inside is ok very simple. Could see it being a great venue for private function, large screen for projector. Would be good space to hire whole venue.
Table set up with high chairs as requested on booking.
Menu included lunch specials $15.
Meals came out very quickly, nearly too quickly if wanting freshly prepared staff were gruff bringing meals out. And not much better taking plates away. felt like staff were waiting for us to leave after we’d eaten. Made the decision to go elsewhere for dessert an easy one! Staff member told one of our children not to jump down stairs she was enthusiastically going down and there was no one around her. So much potential to be a great venue lovely spot and meals were generous size and all fine, not outstanding but reasonably priced and no issues. Plenty of space outdoor and an area to sit outside.
Great change table set up in toilets.
Get staff some customer service training and could be great!

We visited for the olives but stayed for coffee and cake. It's a delightful small shop and cafe with extremely friendly and chatty staff. We tasted the olives, 2 different vintages of olive oil and a few varieties of balsamic vinegar. Also a range of jams and relishes. We took a while to decide our purchases and decided to stay for coffee and cake that was delicious. It was a very enjoyable experience.
