I spontaneously swung into Esselong today because it was before the lunch rush. I haven't been here in a while and I was happy to say it is as delicious as I remember it. Everything is done from scratch. I ordered the special sandwich which was roast beef on a toasted baguette with sauteed onion aioli. The bread was fresh and toasty, it was stuffed with roast beef and arugula and the mayonnaise was delicious. It came with a large side salad of mixed greens and veggies. I had an iced chai tea. Very, very satisfying lunch, decent wait time and such a beautiful space.

The eggs are really special not scrambled out of a box. Crazy hash options not my thing but most customers love it!

We were so happy to stumble across this wonderful market/deli/store! The produce was fun to look at, especially the GIANT heads of cabbage outside! We had no way to cook anything because we were on a big road trip but boy, if we lived in that area, I'd be shopping there regularly!
We samples fudge at the fudge counter, built a huge salad at the salad bar, bought other groceries and really just had fun looking at things. What a great, diverse, place!

We always go out of our way when traveling anywhere near Hadley (even getting off I-91 when going north/south) to go here. It is the best ice cream and they have the most inventive flavors. We particularly liked the "Hadley grass", ginger, black raspberry, and all the yummy toffee/chocolate type things. Our kids (teenagers) were obsessed with checking out the cows and other animals as were we. It's such a bucolic spot - so worth spending an hour here. Wish it was closer so we could go more often, but it's probably a good thing that it's not or I would weigh a lot more.

We went there today about 9 am and it was already crowded but well worth the wait. The portions are generous and the coffee delicious. I had the wicked Pete,s omelet with pesto, feta cheese , spinach, onions and tomatoes. My friend had the eggs Benedict. Our server was friendly and helpful. We did not feel neglected. Best place for breakfast for miles around. On Sundays the parking is free in the municipal lot nearby!

It started with the appetizer… Buona Bocca (fried mozzarella pillows with wine and lemon caper sauce)… everyone at the table “helped” me with these. Then the rack of lamb BGB… so tasty that I couldn’t stop myself from chewing on the bones (OMG! I’ve never done that before!)
Obviously, we strongly recommend this restaurant!

We stopped in for a slice and were not disappointed. Great options and flavors - meat lovers was fantastic and the veggie options were also great - especially the avocado black bean (who would put that on a pizza right?)....i loved it. One slice will do you right for lunch. I would definitely eat there again - great pizza.

We came in on the early side for dinner and there were a few tables available. You need to order at the counter and pay when you order. You can get your own drinks and silverware and sit down with a number at your table. We were expecting a really good meal and it surpassed our expectations on all accounts. The lamb and lentils on onion crepe, lamb tagine with mixed veggies and mixed avocado salad were all fabulous! We ended with a pistachio baklava that was also first rate. I wish we had a restaurant like this near where we live, because we 'd be in there all the time! Loved it so much, we are returning tomorrow morning for breakfast... Heck with Jakes... This place is on a way different and higher level!
