The Iced coffee and pastries at this location were just average. Its a large and busy location , so expect to wait in line to get your pastries and then wait a while to get your drinks. They have a great selection of dessert and breads. It also has indoor and outdoor seating options. Overall could be better on the quality and freshness. We recently just went to the one in Azusa and it was way better in this regard than this location.

This is my neighborhood joint if I have visitors coming to town. While technically not 100% authentic experience of a real tapas restaurant vs. the ones in Spain, but the dishes are well executed and service has always been great. They have basic options for good wines and allow BYO wine with and without corkage pending on the day of the week. Highly recommend.

Like all the Yelpers say, Akasaka Sushi Restaurant has a legendary chirashi bowl that competes with, and sometimes better than those you can find in Japan. I've had some of the freshest fish and chirashi bowls at tsukiji market in Tokyo, and have to say that Akasaka makes a mean chirashi bowl that rivals the best chirashi bowls in the world. The freshness and presentation, along with the variety of raw seafood make this bowl one of the best I've ever had. While the quantity of sashimi and sushi is often never enough at most Japanese restaurants, $45 here will definitely leave you satisfied.

Eclectic california cuisine/happy hour/onsite retail wine shop/hidden gem/must try
We went to a Matinee at the Mark Taper in Los Angeles and rather that find some local place near by and later get stuck in traffic, we headed back to our neck of the woods. We love the Cat and Custard Cup and usually come for dinner.
This time, we came around 6 pm to the "The Cat" as we locals now seem to refer to it. We sat in the bar area between the main dining area above the sunken dining area, nice & cozy with limited seating.
We ordered our favorite but pricey cocktails: Cosmopolitan and Sazerac. Our appetizers followed with their excellent sweet glazed pork bellies & grilled green beans.
We had good time, drinks and food was great....Plan to be back for a repeat encore.

I'd always wanted to visit this place and was stoked to find myself finally in the area. Driving through the giant Donut Hole is pretty cool for all us donut lovers. It allows ya to see all the donuts as you make your way to the order window. Prices are good. I got apple fritter and donut for maybe $3-4. Couple a spots to park so you can take the obligatory photo of the place (ya gotta.) Donuts were great.

Welcome to California Grill! Located just across the street from Whittier College, California Grill has been serving food up "fresh, fast and fun" for more than a decade. It's our pleasure to provide you with a comfortable, family-oriented atmosphere, great service and food to be enjoyed.
California Grill is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. They serve an excellent breakfast (Belgian waffles) and lunch and dinner are excellent also. Love the California BLT and Charlie Melt. The fries are great! Salads are excellent! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend California Grill.

We are frequent diners at Sushi Umi. We typically eat at the sushi bar. All their sushi tastes fresh and is delicious. Their customer service is good, but if you want refills on soda, tea or water be prepared to ask. They get very busy, so go early. The staff is very friendly. They also have takeout. Call your order in beforehand. This is a great option. As a long time resident of Hacienda Heights (over 50 years), I have seen restaurants come and go, but Sushi Umi has been around for at least 20 years that I can remember. It is solid.

At In-N-Out Burger, quality is everything. Stop by to enjoy our menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries and shakes. In-N-Out makes fast food the old fashioned way.
While in route to the metroplex, I had the necessity to get lunch, being very familiar with the area, I exited the Hwy. grabbed a burger, fries and a drink (#3) and re-entered the Hwy within minutes. This establishment is family owned, ensuring quality remains the same, i.e. from numerous locations in TX to Tucson, AZ to numerous Southern Cal locations, I've never been disappointed.

This restaurant has zero curb appeal as it sits in a humble and unkempt strip mall with the Goodwill store as the main anchor. But walk into a cheerful and warmly laid out space. Everything here from the chips and salsa to the hand painted murals feels homemade and like a well run family operation The salsas margaritas and tortillas taste like they are from scratch and in general you can tell that they don't rely on canned sauces and spices. True this place still uses the old time refried beans, enchiladas and Spanish rice formula (that good old hangover food everyone craves sometimes)but they also have many fresh and novel items which indicates a chef with some adventure. Try at least one of the seafood items and one of the soups (meatball if you are not vegetarian) you will love the daily fresh salsas and homemade chips. Don't forget to have a margarita with the salt and Chile edge! Ole

We stumbled on this place when we were visiting our daughter. The food came out super fast and it was delicious!
We ordered pork dumplings, house chicken, shredded pork with Peking sauce, garlic fried shrimp and Peking spring onion pancakes.
It was all very fresh and tasty. The house chicken was definitely different-served cold with a sauce and cucumbers. We loved all the dishes. And not your run of the mill Chinese food.
We very much recommend this place.
