Gubbio’s history pre-dates the Roman Empire to when it was, as Ikuvium, a major town for the ancient Umbrians. Now a city of 30,000, Gubbio has historical attractions spanning many periods. The 14th-century Palazzo dei Consoli houses Umbria’s largest collection of Roman artifacts. Gubbio’s most important date is May 15. Every year for centuries on that day, the Corsa dei Ceri has taken place: Three teams of twenty, each carrying three large wooden statues, race through the streets.

We've eaten at a few places in Gubbio over the years and were very happy with the lunch we had here.
After a morning walking around Gubbio on a very hot June day, we escaped inside to grab a nice lunch. All of the food we had was excellent, but the pastas were true standouts as were one of the antipasti made with unbelievably delicious tomatoes. There's a great selection of wines by the glass and the service is both helpful and friendly.
Overall a nice leisurely lunch with nice people.

This restaurant was recommended to us. We had lunch on 5th May. What a lovely place. We shared a delicious antipasto - one between two is perfect. Interesting mix of local breads, meats etc. Excellent quality. Pasta was delicious. Pear ricotta and nuts in filled pasta and tagliatelle with wild boar. We shared a plate of lamb and some artichokes. No space for puddings! Unusually there is a good selection of wine by the glass which is just right for lunch. Cheerful helpful service. There is a really nice atmosphere. This restaurant is near the funicular which is great fun. Both recommended.

In un ambiente familiare, Rosita la cuoca e suo marito Aldo detto ''Il Generale'' vi accoglieranno per farvi assaporare i piatti tipici della cucina umbra
Simple, small, no pretensions, very fresh homemade food, delicious antipasti dishes, overall quantities that were laughably large, a congenial host who recommended and helped us choose from the few and simple choices, a good house red wine and the best crescia we've tasted in Gubbio. Great tagliatelle with tartufo nero, good grilgiata mista, and their house-made digestivo/amaro was so good we bought 2 bottles to take with us.

The Ristorante di Porta Tessenaca, in the heart of the ancient city of Gubbio, offers a setting perfectly in line with the external environment: typically medieval, with a variety of dishes for all tastes very well presented, where his majesty the truffle is the undisputed master.
This exceptional restaurant is nothing short of a gastronomic wonder. Everything about it -- from the gorgeous centuries old setting to the almost lost art of impeccable service to the unimaginably delicious food is top tier. Here is a restaurant where you can get a...Morethanks very much for your wonderful review, we are very happy to have met you and we hope to meet again soon!

This restaurant offers good food in a nicer than average room.
The menu is interesting and it offers a number of vegetarian and gluten free variation, as I am vegetarian I appreciated the chance of a choice in a region where most food has got some kind of meet or fish in it.
Service could be a bit more cheerful, but nevertheless it was fine.

This is an ideal place to go for pre dinner drinks. Loads of atmosphere in the old town and clever use of eclectic furnishings. The drinks are good value and the varied nibbles platters very imaginative. Hosts are very attentive. A delightful experience.

The food was amazing:fresh, authentic, perfectly prepared. Chef was gracious, generous, and a superb host. , our waiter was a gem and was attentive and really knew his stuff. The restaurant is clean, neat as a pin, comfortable, and conducive for long meals and good conversation. You'll not regret it.

Only visited once - nice antipasti buffet and lovely, perfectly cooked fillet steak...one of the best I have eaten in Italy...tender, rare and with a good peppercorn sauce.
Not fancy, but well cooked and tasty. We were not very keen on the wine they suggested and the place was a bit dead - not much atmosphere- but other than that everything was rather enjoyable - we were with friends so really didn't mind the lack of ambiance.

Because of the low cost of the groupon the offer is acceptable. Good food. But a bit standaard. The meat (secundo) was moderate. The restaurant is on an beautiful place outside Gubbio.

Parco Coppo is a mountain venue set in a very relaxing park at the start of several trails. The cuisine is local, with black truffles, boletus mushrooms, delicious home made pasta and excellent meat dishes. The service is very friendly and the bill very reasonable.
