Owners Doug & Jenn Edwards run the Charlotte Bistro & Bar, located in the historic Hotel Charlotte located just outside of Yosemite National Park. At the Charlotte Bistro our approach to food is simple, we cook what we like to eat. Our philosophy is to create cuisine originating from the finest ingredients we can get a hold of. We believe that supporting farmers who are directly connected to the land near our restaurant allows us to create food that not only excites your tastes buds, but connects you to our beautiful surroundings and supports the local community. Bon appetite. Chef Doug Edwards At Charlotte Bistro & Bar We Feature: Small plates Outdoor dining Local wine, beer on tap and full bar with specialty cocktails Vegetarian and gluten free options All housemade dishes, sauces, desserts, etc.
We were staying at the close-by Groveland Hotel. This is a sister property.
We were pointed to a table for two near the kitchen, but the draft from the AC made it very uncomfortable. With no server in sight, we moved ourselves to an adjacent empty table, taking our place settings with is and exchanging them for untouched place settings from our new location. The man who had seated us, without speaking to US, made a a great show of removing and replacing the place settings we had just moved to the table for two. Shortly thereafter, another couple entered and were shown to the same table my the same man who loudly explained that they could sit at the drafty table for two or a communal table closer to the bar as the dining room would soon get busy (it never did). We'd been told!
Out server was charming. We offered to move to the communal table, but she waved the idea away.
The wine and beer selection was really good. The menu ws creative. I DID find the spicy cauliflower dish extremely peppery (I had been warned), with little flavor, but it was al dente and with some different approach to adding chili (not lashings of paprika) could have been really interesting.
As we watched the team of servers through the evening, we had to conclude that the man who seated us just hated his job...shame

re-opened 08/2009 - Priest Station has been owned and managed by same family for 6 generations
My husband and I found this excellent little Cafe whilst looking for somewhere to eat during our stay at Pine Mountain Lake. Needless to say we ate here every night during our stay. Perched high on a corner with amazing views, the food was delicious. The service was great and the beers icy cold. The bugs can be annoying, but the food is so good, you don't even notice. I highly recommend the black bean burger.

Coffee was good. The breakfast burrito was lacking the everything I would expect when the lady asks if I want everything on it. If the cook say everything and a egg and raw onion with tomato is what I get either I'm in a health food place or there wasn't much everything in the kitchen. The eggs were cooked well. If you eat enough you can find a piece of bacon.

Stayed in the Lodge and ate here each evening. Decent selection of food and enjoyed all meals taken here. POf particular note is the bar area, excellent range of beers, wines and spirits and superb staff!

a very friendly organic cafe serving the best espressos in California, outdoor seating in the garden amongst the nursery plants
A lot of people that work in Yosemite during the summer pop over to Groveland for their concert series each summer. I drove in the weekend that The Brothers Comatose performed and was not disappointed. I ordered the Red Bean Tea from the cafe, iced (I believe that's what it was called) and I'm still dreaming about how delicious it was. 3 of us ordered that and another girl ordered a Chai and we all were in heaven. The place is adorable and even has this weird interactive topographic map in the back with sand that you can reshape. In other words, the place is adorable, family friendly, and worth the stop. I also recommend going to the concerts! The ticket prices are low, the music is good and the venue is perfect (small and intimate).

We were intrigued by the commercials showing a beautiful Reuben sandwich so we decided to try it. We should have known there was trouble when they were already out of rye break at 11:30AM. We got a Reuben on sourdough (???) that was terrible! First, the amount of meat was 1/4 if not less than that shown in the ads and it wasn't hot. The sauerkraut was watery and tasteless. It was hard to find the cheese.

Cheap & cheerful pizza restaurant much frequented by locals. Quite crowded but lots of tables, so no waiting for a table even on a Sat evening.
Friendly guy Jesse dealt with us and was keen to give me a couple of samples of beer. As always portion size was huge

Visit to my daughter and son-in-law last week. One day we went into Groveland and had a quick lunch at Cocina Michoacana. What a delicious treat. This place is authentic. Small and cozy, a bit worn around the edges, as it's been around a while. But so what? The food's the thing, and it was delicious. Warm chips and super salsa.
Some type of shredded cabbage appetizer, was good. The salsa was a little thin, but had a delicious taste and just the right amount of "heat". We had a chicken quesadilla, some flautas both chicken and beef, and a chicken dish. All were quickly prepared and served, hot and delicious. Beans and rice are super too, especially the beans. Nice and friendly servers, made for a nice lunch.

Went here based on trip advisor reviews. Sat at the bar to eat as it was quite a wait for a table. Had a couple of beers, ate a couple of very tasty burgers and listened to a band. Totally enjoyable chilled out evening. Defo recommend a visit.

The restaurant is near Yosemite Ridge Resort on route 120
We ordered a Turkey platter.. it was lunch meet wrapped around, covered in canned gravy with canned cranberry.. awful, and $16...4 of my family ordered this. So sliced Turkey cold cuts, covered with nasty canned gravy, called a Turkey dinner platter for $16
