A fun, funky establishment featuring breakfast, lunch and treats. Fresh, homemade, unique foods to meet your foodie yearnings in an eclectic atmosphere!
Read the reviews and we decided to stop in. We were not disappointed. Good local restaurant. I had the broccoli and ham quiche and hubby had the NY roast beef sandwich. Both were very good. Desserts looked good, but no room. Definitely worth a try.

So, I might have had Braum's ice cream 4 times in 7 days. But I couldn't help it! It was amazing. My favorite was the cappuccino chocolate chunk ice cream as a hot fudge sundae. To die for. Clean restaurant, good service. I wish we had a Braum's at home!

While the food was very good, the wait staff was a little disorganized. The poor guy at the cash register had to get a menu to look up prices, because the waitress didn't list any on the receipt. They were understaffed, but I think in time, they will come around. They serve breakfast all day.

The last couple of times we've visited the Dairy Queen, we've been a little less than pleased. The quality of food had gone down and the cleanliness of the place was not good. We pointed out to staff that someone had spilled a large red drink on the floor (causing a hazard) and they just blew us off. After eating and when we left, the spill was still not cleaned up. The former management ran a much tighter ship.

Okie Smokie's is actually decent BBQ, and I say that as a BBQ snob from Kansas City...The sweet potato fries are amazing - they're basically desert and they come with a sweet syrup for dunking.

We enjoyed our Giant Gulf Shrimp and Grilled Chicken suppers. Our waitress was wonderful once we got one - they were busy with a large group in another room (appeared to be a group meeting about retirement issues). All in all, a very good spot - GO!

If you haven't tried pizza in Grove, you are missing one of the best foods available. Goodfellas has the best thin crust and sauce that is just the right amount. Toppings are fresh every time. Salad is enough for 2 to share. Seating is limited and tends to be warm in the restaurant. Take out is best or they will deliver. I crave this pizza!!!

I would not recommend this place. The lunch special was covered in a runny sour cream sauce. The re-fried beans had no texture left to them. The loaded cheese appetizer was stiff like mozarello cheese and came "loaded" with spicy chorizo and peppers. I think I am spoiled living in Texas.

We have family in the Grove area and have been to many restaurants in the area over the years. Most have been mediocre at best. It's hard to find a place around Grove or the lake that has good food, a nice atmosphere and good service/staff. Some have one or possibly two of these things but it's VERY rare that one has all three. 1909 had all three on our visit.
The restaurant itself has an updated look similar to restaurants we often see in Denver. The menu had a nice variety. Our group's choices for a meal ranged from Eggs Benedict and a BLAT, to a hamburger and a Hot Beef sandwich. The BLAT was huge. Good bread, crispy bacon and nice fresh avocado. The lettuce was shredded and might have preferred it otherwise but was quite tasty. The Hot Beef sandwich had steamed brisket that came with fresh horseradish - not horseradish sauce. My husband thought it made the sandwich. The hamburger was a hamburger but it was cooked perfectly (not overdone but not raw - just a hint of pink) and was on a good bun. The sides of fries and Mac and Cheese were both very taste and better than average.
Our waitress was Katie and she was awesome. My dad had been in before and had the Eggs Benedict. He told her while he liked it last time, the Eggs were cold. She promised him she would see to it that they weren't this time and she was true to her word. Checking back with him to make sure they were to his liking. She was attentive and refilled our ice teas several times and even offered and brought us some to go.
The combination of good food, nice atmosphere and friendly helpful staff is a rarity in this area. I hope they keep it up because we will be back

Near Grand Lake.
Friendly staff, good grilled beef on their "Fritos" (nachos). Salsa wasn't the best, but rice and tacos were pretty good. It's tough to find constantly good cuisine in Grove, but this is probably the most predictable and delectable Mexican to be had.
