This restaurant has a wonderful old world inn feel and look.
We had paprika soup, the asparagus soup, the schnitzel and a traditional boiled beef dinner with orange and yellow carrots with horseradish.
We enjoyed all of it and it was a perfect topper to a long day of site seeing.

NS .: waren einmal Mittwoch nachmittag und einmal Freitag vormittag dort ;

No proper veggie options and pretty bland and tasteless salad and chips. Clientele mainly from the hotel. Can't see people travelling to this one. Service with a smile would be nice.

The team are well trained, welcoming - but don't smother you, service is efficient.
I would suggest that they take a little time to explain the menu, highlight some dishes.
Good selections of bottled wines, but limited by the glass.
Starters were sublime, my goats cheese, figs and beetroot was to die for 10/10
Mains all well presented and my MIL & FIL loved their ragout. My husbands fish was lovely. But here is where the kitchen was out of touch. They had an 80s flashback and cooked the meat medium-well? I didn't even think to ask to cook my dish MedRare - as a restaurant of this caliber shouldn't serve it any other way. My daughters was the same. Beautiful cut of meat destroyed by 4-5 mins too long in the pan. My dish was also missing a side?? So disappointing - everything else was outstanding.
The kitchen need to either tell the servers to communicate that the meat is cooked medium-well and ask if you prefer it differently. Or the kitchen need to get the meat on track Medium-Rate!
We will definitely be back.

When I lived in Grein, a visit to Schörgi was always a treat. They have an excellent choice of breakfasts, snacks for lunch (my favourite vegetable burgers with salad and a lovely sauce), drinks, cakes, and of course their well known homemade ice cream. Right by the Danube you get some nice views too, especially in summer when you can sit outside.

The place is easy but confortable, kind people (even if english is not a spoken language unfortunately) and the food is really good. 4 people just 23 euros! Perfect place to take some rest with a good traditional plate

Hidden, but nicely located a 5 minutes' drive south of the Danube, this traditional Austrian restaurant is a favourite among locals. The trout fish, which is the speciality of this place, is fresh and produced locally. Great wine list with wines of high quality instead of big names.

Had a gushing welcome from the owner here, the people who own the place are lovely. It is a massive restaurant in a 2 horse village, I have no idea how they survive. There were a few other diners but we could have all had our own dining area.
The food was tasty, not the finest Chinese food I ever had, but very nice, and reasonably priced. You might not be stunned by the culinary skills here but you won't be disappointed either, and the owners will be grateful you came.

We are a traditional & original Hotel & Restaurant. We have lovely single/Double/Family Rooms and Apartments, we served nicely food all day long. We are happy to welcome everyone also just for a drink or a small stop at a rainy day.

One of the best places for having a pizza in Amstetten. I just love it, when there are fresh mushrooms on my pizza. :) As well for take-away it is great. Very friendly staff and always very fast.
