Stopped here while in the area on business. You seat yourself & someone comes over immediately for your drink order. Menus are on the table already by the condiments. I swear our food was ready in 5 minutes or less! This has got to be THE FASTEST SERVICE I've ever had!! I ordered the Turkey panini & my coworker ordered pancakes & eggs. The woman who took our drink order was very nice & sweet. There is an ATM in the back by the bathrooms. If I'm in the area again, I would stop in. Affordable prices.

Friendly service and personal attention for overnight guests.
Bryan did a good job to handle everything alone when only 2 or 3 rooms rented out mid-week. Good variety of breakfast meals to pick and choose from - all cooked well except pancakes on second morning not brown on one side. Had 2 morning meals there so eggs with bacon 1st morning. Toast, waffles, hashbrowns, and sausage also available.

One of Pennsylvania's finest Pocono's Restaurants... The elegant dining room at The French Manor features a 40 foot vaulted ceiling & two massive fireplaces. Request a table near the terrace for a wonderful view of the Pocono Mountains, or a table by the fireplace for later dining. Breakfast in nice weather can be accommodated on the stone veranda. Our gourmet dinner menu features both Classical & Nouvelle French Cuisine. Candlelight dining, culinary expertise, & our pampering staff make each meal a memorable dining experience. Jackets are suggested for gentlemen in the formal dining room. Please note that the restaurant is not suitable for children under the age of 12 years. Hanna's Cafe offers casual dining & cocktails nightly. Terrace Dining available - weather permitting. AAA four-diamond rated restaurant & lodging. Featured in Gourmet magazine as one of Pa's best restaurants. Written up in the Philadelphia Inquirer as "Dinner Fit for a King".
We dined here recently and the food was AMAZING, the atmosphere beautiful and the location great. The only drawback was the waiter. He was friendly but obviously very inexperienced. He was slow and unsure of himself and forgot some of our order. I'm sure that he was new and that with time, he will improve or move on. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Cakes and Scones Bakery takes great pride in having the cleanest, brightest & cheery atmosphere in the area. Please stop in and see our newly totally renovated building. We specialize in all natural, made from scratch on location bakedgoods. We are a full service bakery making everything from cookies to wedding cakes. We also offer seating. Specialty breads are made at holidays and periodically betweenthem. You may also check us out and follow us on Facebook"Cakes & Scones Bakery" for specials and events. We are located in N.E. Pa. in the Poconos. Our prices ARE higher than what this area is used to, but so is our quality. The Lake Wallenpaupack area sure deserves it.
great coffee and cakes, friendly people and a super clean facility. Myself and family are there on a weekly basis and have yet to be disappointed.

Recently reopened by a previous owner. Food was fabulous. Tableside preparation of dessert crepes and bananas foster was very upscale, and yet very reasonably priced
Really enjoyed our first visit here about a year ago and stopped by recently for a second go round. It did not disappoint. This small restaurant was packed with enthusiastic diners all appearing to enjoy their dinners. The wait staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. My husband was debatiing having the soup of the day (Southwestern Chipotle Crab Chowder) and when asked about the level of spiciness was offered a small taste of it before ordering. Classy!! For dessert several tables ordered the Bananas Foster which was prepared tableside. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. Our only small comment - it is a little noisy in the dining room. Otherwise, if you are in the Lake Wallenpaupack area, put this place on your dining list.

The staff are the rudest people ever. I keep saying this is the last time. But the food is really good. So I come again and just deal with it.

Nestled on a corner of a small road in the town of Sterling in the Poconos this little cafe offers good bistro fare at an affordable price. Known by the locals as having delicious breakfast and brunch selections another couple and my husband and I decided to try it ourselves. The luncheon menu has a large selection of paninis, wraps, hot dogs, burgers, and pizzas which can be accompanied by soup and salad.
I selected the "chef's choice" which was a chicken club consisting of a panko chicken breast topped with pepper jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and their signature romoulade and potato chips. My husband's choice was a Philly steak sandwich, and both of us were happy with our meal.
Our friends who are vegetarians were pleased that they could order from the menu and tried their peanut butter silk pie, one of their specialties, for dessert.
Our waitress was very cordial and the owner/chef came to our table to see if we were satisfied with our meals.
When next time we are in the area, we will return.

I hear the food is awesome, 'though I never tried anything other than steaks, which; of course, were better than decent. I wish they'd re-open after their flooding problem. I miss their drinks and food! Better than decnt bartenders, great crowd! From what I hear, the seafood is duper great.

Over the weekend my husband and I visited this fantastic German restaurant in the Poconos. It's part antique shop, part BBQ shack, but also has a sit-down restaurant inside with a wider variety of foods, mostly focusing on traditional German cuisine. Everything is homemade and the German hostess/owner (who also cooked some of the food) was very accommodating.
Fresh German food, like you are in Deutschland! This place is a small family owned and operated, it only has a few tables and meals are prepared completely fresh. It's a must to have a reservation.
The restaurant is inside their Antique Store, with a BnB upstairs! It's like sitting at dinner in your great-grandmothers house, very warm and inviting!
