Everything about this restaurant is superb. I will take it over the fanciest restaurants in Manhattan. This time I had the hanger steak which was tender and perfectly cooked.
Tried the 3 soup sampler and it was great. My husband had the trout and loved it.
The service is phenomenal. They watch you carefully without being obtrusive.
The menu has so many offerings so there is something for everyone no matter what kind of diet you have.
Also the decor is quite nice and we had no problem with a noise level during dinner.
The owner oversees everything and is lovely.
If you are anywhere in the area, or even if you are not, this is a must visit.

The steaks cannot be topped. The problem is the restaurant's attitude toward reservations. You can arrive on time only to wait a half hour or more. Half of the tables are all booked for the same time. That means a line of cars waiting to get into the lot, and a line of diners trying to find room to stand in the restaurant while regulars are seated first, and then, in the fullness of time, everyone else.

I visited this establishment because a radio host was bragging about it. By coincidence, I happened to be in the area two days later and gave it a try. Outstanding pizza! Being in the New York metro market all my life I know good pizza and this was one of the best I've ever had. It's a thin style crust that's somewhere between a regular slice and a very thin slice. Perfect, just perfect.
Service was slow or I would have given 5 stars. Bring cash though, they don't take credit cards nor do they serve single slices, pies only.

I have had bagels in many places and none compare to those at bagel hut. They are chewy and crunchy in the exact right proportion. My husband loves their coffee too.

DiMaggio's Trattoria serves Old World traditional dishes in a friendly, casual, atmosphere. We are committed to preparing food with only the finest and freshest ingredients. Open 7 days a week lunch and dinner
Although it is one of those places long revered by locals, if you find yourself in the Port Washington, NY area around lunch or dinner time, you should give this restaurant a try.
Their pasta dishes are authentic and the tastes ring true. I am a big fan of the Tortellini en Brodo, the Lasagne della Nonna and the Caesar Salad. In fact, I am not above ordering the salad to bring home when I am expecting luncheon guests; I put it in my own salad bowl to serve and it is so much better than anything I could concoct myself. But I digress; my husband loves the Chicken Scarpariello (a lot), and any dish that includes Italian sausage. Descriptions aside, many of the dishes offered harken back to memories of Grandma and Sunday dinners with the family which, for me, is a good thing.
At the risk of never getting a seat without a long wait, I am happy to recommend this restaurant. We have been going there for a long time and are never disappointed with the food or the service.
Just a couple of notes: reservations cannot be made unless your group is 6 or more and parking can be tricky. There is a lot just a few steps away, but availability for that is varied, so check with the restaurant for time and availability.

There is no better buy than Lola's during Restaurant Week. The food is unique, with superb service and delicious wine. We had the traditional wonderful mezze plates - fried sun chokes, babaganoush, hummus, crisp spiced carrots, Tzatziki, chopped beets, falafel balls; each with fresh exotic spices, and the freshest of ingredients. It was all served with a grilled pita that was delicious even by itself. The mezze paired wonderfully with the very reasonable bottle of Tampranillo we ordered. For our mains we chose a Duck Synia, which was a beautifully spiced shepherds pie and the organic chicken served atop a lentil rice with schwarma spices. Delicious. And then the marvelous deserts - apple. poplova and halvah parfaits. All in all, a fabulous experience!

Our friends took us here and we were very pleasantly surprised. It's casual with excellent food, service and prices. The service could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It's a pizza place up front with restaurant seating in the rear. If you park in the rear you walk into the restaurant side and may never realize that there's a pizza place with a Plandome road entrance. We also met the owner who is terrific.

Lunched in this authentic Asian restaurant. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Quick service. Dined on the lunch specials, sweet and sour, lo mein and shrimp in lobster sauce. We were 3 people so shared. Lobster Sauce which can typically be a difficult dish to cook correctly was perfect - nice and thick vs some places that serve it to thin (liquidy)more like a soup. Very, very tasty. Sweet and sour was very light and scrumptious too, not too heavy (which was good) as it was a mid day meal and not dinner. Lo Mein - not greasy, which helped to make it even more tasty. Will gladly eat in this establishment again.

We have traveled all over the world and never had better Asian food than Pearl East. The presentation, variety, quality, taste and service was incredible. We had pot stickers, chicken, pork, lobster, sea bass, noodles and ended with fresh fruit and icecream. They make great sushi appetizers as well as Chinese cuisine. The pictures will tell the story.
