We purchased a 115-year-old, 32,000sf site that had been used for soda production and packaging. We reinvented it into a Craft Brewery. We made it Cool again. Granite Falls Brewing Company ("GFB") opened locally to the public on September 6, 2013. GFB operates from the former home of Granite Bottling Works (1903-1978) & Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Hickory (1978-2012). To put the dates in perspective: soda production & bottling began on our site the same year the Ford Motor Company was founded. When you enter GFB's brick lobby, you're stepping inside the original Granite Bottling Works plant. Prepare to be greeted by the original Double Cola, My Cola, Flavors of the Highest Quality, Sun Drop, Cheerwine and other surviving bottles in our lobby display case. Journey on into our 220-seat tasting room, gastropub, & music venue and you're exploring the 1962 bottling warehouse - constructed the same year Wal-Mart Stores was founded. Four TVs lend GFB a sports bar feel.
The beer selection is the best it has ever been. Two very good dark beers on tap. Build your own burger...nice concept. I recommend the beer cheese and bacon for your burger! Pub chips were spot on. Service was very good too. Live music tonight, but the dining room was the perfect distance away to enjoy it and still carry on a conversation.

Lisa bakes and decorates the prettiest and most delicious baked items you have ever seen and tasted. Her cookies and cakes are almost too pretty to eat. For pictures of her work at Nicole Lee Confections, check out NLC on FB. Or better yet, stop by to see, buy and experience her craftsmanship and artistry with pastries, cakes and cookies.

Went around 1:30 , not crowded. Order at counter and they bring it out. I asked the
girl what she suggested ,baked beans or SP cass. She said SPC. Boy was she right!
They put pralines in in crust and the pulled pork was juicy and tender. Take exit 114 to
Connelly Springs, It'll be on your right about 4 miles down, a little hamlet called Baton.
You will love it!

We are a small town and don't have a lot of places to pick from to eat at. Stephen's would be worth the trip if we lived further away. The sandwiches are top notch and my favorite side is the sweet potato fries. They have a great variety and friendly staff, sometimes the wait is longer than others but the food has always been worth it. Prices are really good also..

Stopped here after visiting my aunt with my mom. We love Mexican food. This was not the best Mexican food, I ever had but it tasted good. I would call it basic Mexican food. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. We were seated quickly and our arrived quickly and hot after we ordered. I would eat there again.

My husband and daughter popped in this little bakery. The pound cake was my favorite! But I got the red velvet which my daughter liked better! So we switched! The chocolate/chocolate was good too! It was my husband's pick and I am glad he shared a bite or two! Super nice staff! Btw the table we sat at and the large one in the center of the room was just beautiful!!

While you have to take several back roads to get to this gem, it is worth it for the entertainment. While it opens at 5, the fun doesn't start until 7. A super place for a large group of friends or family. Buffet style only. You pay at the door for food, then later for drinks and even later, separately for dessert. A different set up for sure. Good was fine but not exceptional. Large wooden tables with bench seating fill everywhere except for the dance floor and stage. The major draw is not the service( which is non-existent) if the food but the entertainment. Make sure you get a seat near the dance floor yo watch cloggers, square dancers and young and old alike do their thing. The band was fine, but it's enjoyable to see people if all ages come together in the dance floor.

We ordered enough to feed 10 people, and went to pick it up. It was hot, ready and at a great price. The food was well prepared and the hushpuppies and tartar sauce were really good. This is a regular stop for us when we pass through.

Frankies makes a very nice NYC style of pizza. You can get it by the slice for $3, and one slice is a meal. You can also get a whole pie, and the 24" will feed a family for a few days. Frankies also makes a great Italian sub. The rest of the menu is okay. I have tried the pasta and wasn't impressed. Pizza and subs is what they do best. They also have cheap beer.

50's style diner. Unbelievable burgers at amazing prices! Side dishes typical diner fare, so I stick with burger and fries myself. Pickup window makes to-go ordering quick and easy.
