The comforts of a friendly, small-town atmosphere combined with the pleasures of big city life make Grand Rapids an ideal choice for a fun getaway with a host of indoor and outdoor activities. Once known as the furniture capital of the world, the city has a reinvigorated downtown area and a thriving arts and cultural community. Its most popular attraction is the museum dedicated to native son Gerald R. Ford, 38th U.S. President, where interactive exhibits take you to the White House and the 1976 Republican National Convention. Wander through the state's largest tropical conservatory at the Frederik Meijer Gardens, a magical wonderland of gardens, woodlands and over 100 bronze statues by famous artists, including the 24-foot bronze horse designed by Leonardo da Vinci. More outdoor fun is a half-hour away at the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan. Golf lovers have plenty of places to hit the greens since Grand Rapids has more privately owned, daily-fee, public courses than any other U.S. city. Wind up your busy weekend with a cold beer at the Hair of the Frog Brewery or the Grand Rapids Brewing Company.

How can I possibly describe what the best breakfast I have ever had is comparably to a lifetime of breakfasts ?
One dish.....it's all it took.
I'm in love with this place and will begin making this a tradition in my travels and at home. Irish Benedict.
The ham is replaced with real corned beef. They brine it themselves and it's amazing in this dish !

We serve honest fayre with local flair in a green, neighborhood setting that keeps customers coming back. Our innovative gastro pub is green beyond its name: Our building is LEED(R) certified inside and out which means it's environmentally safe, ultra efficient and leaves behind the smallest possible carbon footprint.
Tonight we brought our out-of-town guests here for dinner. The service by Kendal was excellent! She was friendly, efficient and suggested some of her favorite foods and beers on the menu (which we tried). The food was delicious and the portions very generous. Our guests commented on the fun atmosphere of the restaurant as well and we couldn't agree more. We'll be back!

Grove, an Essence Restaurant Group establishment, brings Farm-to-Table with modern, authentic cuisine featuring our Essence hallmarks: impeccable service and fresh, natural, local ingredients.
This was my 3rd visit to Grove. It did not disappoint. The food was fabulous - I had the duck as did two others - and we were all very happy with our selection. The accompanying vegetables were wonderful. The first courses are quite large and could easily work as a main entree. The shrimp
and grits was quite good and was a large helping. Grove is a great place for a special occasion as it is at the higher end of the price scale - but it’s worth it.

Went to BU for our anniversary with some friends. Didnt know what to expect but was really surprised by the food quality, tastes, whiskey and bourbon choices, beer choices, service and atmosphere. We ordered the crispy brussels sprouts which were the best brussels sprouts ever. Try them even if you dont like bs. I ordered the beef stroganoff, which was very good. The smoked brisket was very tasty, I just wish the pieces were smaller, but thats me. My wife ordered the skate wing, which had a really tasty buttermilk potato sauce. The smokehouse barbeque pork sandwich looked great, along with smoke pastrami. I ordered a pour of woodford reserve, which I knew would be excellent. Lots of food and drinks for everyone, give em a try.
This is a must return for us, guaranteed!

Visited here around Valentine's Day 2017 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. While the food is pricey, it is beautifully presented and is delicious. We started with crabcake appetizers and caesar salad, followed by bouillabaisse and sea scallops. Everything was fabulous and we were too full for dessert, although it was tempting. I highly recommend this seafood restaurant and would definitely dine here again.

My family and I went on a Saturday morning - get there early because it gets crowded and lines start to back up. It doesn't look like much from outside and certainly not from inside. It is clean, though. The menu is potentially overwhelming. Locals challenge themselves to try to get through the entire menu! The food was not very hot and my pancake had a little bit of a crust - probably sat under the warmer too long. My son-in-law's veggie omelette was tasty with great veggies as were the homefries. The bacon is thick cut and delicious. The coffee was great and the server provided us with a to-go cup for our walk home.

My favorite place for a hand muddled Mojito! So refreshing, and the tapas selection covers every base. I was with a vegetarian friend, and a devout carnivore- both raved about their selection! If you are on a date, or out with friends- a must try for sure!

At Ruth's Chris Grand Rapids inside the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel we're picky about our steaks and you should be picky about your steak houses. That's why we serve only the finest USDA Prime beef available. Our steaks are hand-selected from the top 2% of the country's beef, broiled to perfection and served the Ruth's Chris signature way: sizzling on a 500 degree plate so that every last bite stays hot and delicious. And if you're in the mood for something a little different, choose from our Chef's Seasonal Specials, fresh seafood selections, classic sides and homemade desserts. So whatever the occasion, Ruth's Chris is the perfect excuse to enjoy the perfect night out.
We reserved at the last minute; only availability was 5 pm. It was a treat to get there first. We got a lovely table along the street. Elaine's service was impeccable. The food was superb and perfectly cook. The veal osso bucco ravioli, wedge salad, creamed spinach and potatoes were enough for both of us to share, and we brought home the vegetables and the remainder of our delectable cuts of meat (petite filet and ribeye). We enjoyed Manhattan Eastsides thoroughly. It's too expensive to go often but we will find occasions to revisions.
