Went to the North Hero House for my wife's birthday dinner. They wished her Happy Birthday when she arrive and had cute Happy Birthday stickers on the table. They had small bottles of champagne for each of us(on the house!). The dinner was a fantastic prime rib. The staff came out with a little cake and snag Happy Birthday. The piano player joined in to. It was nice and very classy. Just a great experience.

Anthony's Restaurant & Bistro is set within a remodeled nineteenth century farm house where we have been welcoming guests since 1980. We offer contemporary, European-American cuisine, graciously presented in an atmosphere of warm country elegance. With a choice of ambiance, guests can enjoy our relaxed casual Bistro Lounge or our intimate white table cloth Dining Room. Each of our menus are available throughout the restaurant.
By far the best restaurant in Plattsburgh. Amazing entrees and appetizers. Recommend trying the unusual items such as the boar sausage and ostrich steak. Or you could go for the delicious steaks. Caters to large groups as well. Highly recommend for a dinner date or bringing 40 people.

Located in beautiful South Hero, Vermont, The Paddle is a hidden gem nestled in the Champlain Islands. Recently, Co-Owner/Chef Phoebe R. Bright was voted "Runner-Up" for Best Chef in Vermont (Daysie Awards, 2013-16). The restaurant has won numerous awards, including "Best Restaurant" (outside Chittenden County), 2015. Only a 20 minute drive from Burlington, the state's largest city! Reservations accepted. Weekly live music. Hours change with the season. Sunday brunches served on special holidays. Visit The Paddle on facebook, "like" and you may win one of many gift certificates the owners award weekly! "Love many, trust a few, but always paddle your own canoe."
You don't expect to find a first-rate restaurant on an island in Vermont, but this one rates all the superlatives, from our drinks to our main courses. We weren't in the least surprised that walk-ins had to be turned away; fortunately, we had a reservation. We shared a flavorful appetizer of veggie spring rolls, one of us had pasta as a main course and the other the duck breast -- both dishes were delicious -- and the recommended wines and cocktails complemented the food well. Service was friendly and efficient without being overbearing or intrusive.

This roadside snack bar has great fries and milk shakes. I especially like the maple shake. They also have all the usual food like hamburgers and onion rings. Too bad the place is only seasonal.

Super burgers! Meat was tender and tasty, and cooked just the way we like it. Onion rings were crisp and deliciously battered. Ice cream is made in Vermont and wonderful.
I had "cow's tail" which was vanilla with fudge sauce, peanut butter cups and Heath bar crunch! I asked for one scoop and I think I got three! Yum!

We have been here several times. It is always great. We enjoy watching the families enjoying this resort. All ages seem to have a great time. We come only for dinner. All dishes have always been very good. Our son eats the dull portion, we stick to the smaller bistro portion. It is always more than adequate.

Homestyle comfort food from the Himalayas. Gluten and Vegan friendly.
We went to Himalaya based on all positive reviews. The place is indeed absolutely awesome: the staff is very friendly and the food quality is excellent and the taste is great. We've chosen Momo appetizers and Tibetan main courses: all dishes were delicious.

We are a small cafe serving local foods in an informal atmosphere surrounded by Vermont art work.
Cafe in a small gallery. Freshly made enormous sandwiches and a chance to view the art while waiting. Some lovely photos, some very fine woodworking. A proper coffee machine would make the place hard to resist.
Friendly, talkative service - CNN give fewer live updates than we did on our food - but very genuine and helpful with info on the surrounding area.

Locally themed cafe in the heart of South Hero; Ever changing menu offering seasonal harvests from local farmers and purveyors.
We have gone to Cook Sisters' Cafe twice in the past couple of weeks. Both times it was on the late side and they graciously accommodated us each time. The first time, my husband had a tuna steak and I had crab cakes on a salad. They were delicious as was the appetizers of hummus with olives, pickles and warm pita bread and the dates wrapped with prosciutto (yum!!).
Tonight we went again. Same delicious food. My husband had the lobster sauce and I had the salmon. We were impressed. The salmon was wild, which is very hard to find in a restaurant, and the lobster saute was outstanding. The service was excellent and we love the atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable too. We recommend this little gem highly!

From NYC area and there is no comparison.
Ask for very little cream cheese or butter get more than woulf feed a family. Ugh.
Having seats is better and new store is bright and clean.
I'll stick to filling my carry-on with bread and bagels from NY and freeze the.
