Someone at the Crane Trust recommended this restaurant for an early dinner and we were delighted. Our steaks were perfectly prepared. We especially enjoyed the salads, easily the best we had while we were in Nebraska: everyone gets to choose from a menu of ingredients. During the week there are dinner specials offered some smaller portions, but if you like big steaks this is definitely the place for you. Our server was friendly and guided us through the multiple menu options. We left full and happy and took dessert to go.

Stopped in four drinks around Happy Hour. Little pricey, but good time was had by all. Chocolate martini was a hit for my wife.

Lots of cozy places inside and out to enjoy a good drink and a snack. The coffee was good and I love the chocolate covered coffee beans they add on top. So few places have them in Nebraska it seems like. The girls behind the counter were friendly and everyone in our group enjoyed what they purchased, both the food and varied drinks. A nice little stop we'd recommend if you're in need of pick me up:)

You can tell it’s independently owned and cared for. This casual dining restaurant in GI is a great place to get a drink and a creative burger. Nothing fancy here but you didn’t come for that... just nice people, good food, and in a comfortable place.

We had lunch here and ate at the hibachi grill. The food was excellent and the chef was entertaining. The food was the best we tried in Grand Island. The only complaint was the high prices, but I guess that's to be expected with this type of restaurant.

A pleasant surprise. I had spaghetti with a rich tomato sauce, earthy mushrooms and meat balls. It was very very good. Reminded me of the restaurants in little Italy in the 50's. The red clam sauce was also very tasty. I was full so did not try any of the desserts. The wine list is short but they had some good selections.
Service was prompt and professional. I will return the next time I am in Grand Island.

I loved the uniqueness of the menu with the speciality pizzas. The Bells beach pizza was unique and delicious! Even if with a bar their it was VERY family friendly. Kids went to the outside dining where they have sidewalk chalk for them to draw on the concrete. For the parents some great Nebraska beers on tap and in bottles.

You have other locations listed; this one is just probably too new. It just opened 4/9/2012. My husband and I had a great experience there, and I wanted to add my review. Thanks!
Had a dinner here as I stayed overnight at Hampton Inn across US Highway 281.
The staffs were friendly as they asked my name, what brought me to Grand Island, and the details of food.
Food was very good: Smothered (grilled/marinated) chicken, sauteed onions/mushroom, with gravy, seasoned vegetable, house salad, chili soup, bucket full of peanuts, dinner rolls, and hot coffee.

We were hungry and could not easily select a place to eat until we saw the boasted chicken. Crisp on the outside and juice on the inside was just what we both needed. It was a great meal. Service was super and the value was great. Save room for the pies.

In the wilderness of chain restaurants in Grand Island, Wasabi stands out like a beacon of hope! A great place for a "date". The atmosphere is relaxing and gracious without being stuffy. Cuisine is Asian and includes both Japanese and Chinese. Sushi is offered and it is my favorite. The restaurant offers a wide and varied selection. You would probably have to eat there almost daily to sample everything offered on the menu. I have never had a bad experience there. Also offered are numerous "speciality" drinks. They used to have a more varied bar selection, particularly scotch. In the last year the selections have dropped off a bit. This is an excellent place to take out of town visitors for a great meal and to show them Grand Island can offer them something other than the "usual" chain restaurants.
