Booked here for Sunday Lunch (good job we did book as very busy and this was tea time) and were very impressed with the food. There was a good choice and we had the pork and it was absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Likewise a very sorted array of vegetables and potatoes to go with the meal. Pleased I did not have a starter as the main was more than enough. The puddings looked equally delicious but my appetite was more than satiated with the main. Very good value for money and the beer was good too.

Every time I've purchased from here the fish and chips have been cooked fresh and the service is always with a smile. They have also now started cooking Gluten free fish/ chips and other foods on a Saturday which is great my mum visits from London.
They have always supported local events supporting the community and this means a lot. Keep up the great work xx

The Kings Head is a very old traditional village pub, full of character, dating back to the 1800's. We are a family-run establishment, suplying great food, homemade and locally sourced, served by friendly staff in a pleasent and comfortable enviroment.
4 miles off the beaten track but don't despair, this is well worth the treck.
Us four old mates (friends for over 60 years) meet up every three or four months always in a different venue to chat and dine and bring the world to right.
By chance we heard of T K Head at B o t m. So on a dark and wet Wednesday evening coming from 4 different directions we met up here.
Now this is fact, we have dined in numerous locations over the years and suddenly we find somewhere we all agreed as numero uno!
The food is excellent cooked to perfection and price is not over the top, the staff couldn't do enough for us. What a pity that us four had the restaurant to our selves but we were told that on a weekend it's heaving. So congratulations to the owners, you have created a wonderful venue, we will return.

We called in here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised as to how nice an experience it was. All the staff were friendly and happy, there was a really nice atmosphere and our meals were both very good. Overall, a very pleasing stop.

My friend who lives in Broomfleet suggested the Hope & Anchor for lunch. It was a dreadful day - raining hard so no chance of sitting outside beside the River Humber. But a warm welcome in the pub (though it could have done with some heating on as we were chilly by the time we left).
The food? Superb. Well cooked, well presented, with REAL onion gravy. We both settled for braised steak and onions - slow cooked to perfection, the beef falling apart as you cut it, delicious. Prettily cut carrots, piping hot cauliflower and broccoli (cooked just right), creamy mashed potato and as I said, real onion gravy with real onions in it! I was also tempted to try the smoked haddock risotto or the haddock and chips. Pudding? Lots to choose from but my friend had never had bread and butter pudding. A deprived childhood??? So we shared one. Initially it looks a small portion but ummm, absolutely delicious and dare I say it, as good as the B&B puddings I make.
All in all a lovely old fashioned pub - though they are changing some of the decor at the moment. Please don't go "bistro" and please keep the bar and the atmosphere. A Thursday lunchtime and all the tables were full. And its basically in the middle of nowhere. Would I recommend it? yes, definitely and when next in the area, this will be the first pub I'll revisit. Good hand pulled draught beer supplied too. A proper pub with a brilliant chef/cook. Thanks for brightening our day.

A Hidden Gem down the cobbled streets of Howden. This family run business serves traditional family dining along with unique international evenings and hot sizzle stone steaks A Warm and comfortable atmosphere with good food
Our second visit here as there isn't much choice locally to eat on an evening. The food was still of a poor standard. The steak was very tough :( service was better this time though. It seems the grumpy waitress has left. Can't see us going back though.

Booked by my niece for a Saturday family lunch. Lovely barn style restaurant with a small deli, Seating area with sofas and a small bar, just off the A614 to Snaith
A little out of the way but very popular judging by the number of tables occupied
Menu is an eclectic mix of small plates, mains and items from the grill, all locally sourced with many of the providers named on their website
We had Brie fritters between us to start and then two of us had the wild mushrooms with duck egg, one battered fish and one burger.
All were excellent, my only slight criticism, the food could have been hotter, certainly my mushrooms were just warm when they arrived at the table but they were tasty regardless of the temperature
For dessert two of us chose the chocolate fondant. With some Reservations as I have so often been disappointed with fondants, even in the best restaurants
This one was perfect, slightly crunchy on the outside and oozing chocolate when cut into with a lovely vanilla ice cream
Not cheap, but excellent locally sourced produce, so would definitely recommend.
They also have an evening menu and serve afternoon tea

Went here for a meal with my wife ,disappointed that most vegan and vegetarian meals are not in the offer for 2 meals at a cheaper price ,I think the vegan burger should be included in cheaper priced meals ,.

Not often I am compelled to write a review..... Monday night, 6.45, wedding anniversary......we went for 1 chef's special menu @ £12.95 for a starter, main, rice and side dish....and a starter of king prawn tikka and main of Murg Khatani with pillau rice. Wow what a combo....
Starters became lamb cofta, onion bhaji and king prawn tikka and it was so lite and zestful. Mains were murgh Khatani which was creamy and coconuty and the chicken was really tender, a side of Bombay potatoes, a tandoor cooked thin crispy naan bread and butter melted on top....think Neapolitan pizza without tomato or mozzarella....wow, wow wow.....an intense chicken tomato and pepper Madras and a safron pillau rice.....add 2 bottles of French sauvignon blanc and a free liquor....we had bailleys over ice.....best £58.20 ever spent....Even at 6.45 on a Monday evening it was busy and the waiters were great and so was the atmosphere.....you need to visit this restaurant! It'll be our regular Indian now.....
