You know how you find a great place and always think there must be something better, so you keep looking only to find...there's not.
It's the best sushi in town at all 5 or 6 locations. The fish is always fresh and great quality with lots of unique stuff.
Many of the rolls are droll inducing and even just the seaweed salad is delicious.
One of my favorites is the Mel Roll, light rice soy wrapper. It doesn't have a lot of sauce or fillers. It's just packed with salmon, 2 tunas and shrimp. a taste of the sea and really, really good. add wasabi and it turned into a craving food for me.

We specialize in fresh made Italian style dishes; Hand Tossed Pizzas, freshly sautéed pasta, fresh seafood-like salmon, halibut, scallops, and shrimp and fresh Angus beef. There is an exhibitionary kitchen in the main dining room, a full bar, a wine shop and private room as well as two outdoor patios. The wine list is a five time Wine Spectator Award Winning List. We feature over fifty wines by the glass; our specialty is west coast Cabernet sauvignon with over 200 selections. All wine is available to purchase to go at standard retail or less. In the restaurant the most it would cost is $14 over retail. The wine shop also doubles as a private dining room that can accommodate up to 30 sit down or 40 as a cocktail party. Two outdoor patios are in front of the restaurant for those who enjoy people watching.
Simply put, a great value for your dollar. This place felt like Italy and the service and hospitality was 5 Owls.

Snooks is a 3rd generation family of candy makers. See our candies being made on location in Historic Folsom, California.
We stopped here for our after dinner treats. They had a nice selection of ice cream, chocolates, & non-chocolate candy. The place to go if you are looking for some unusual candies.Thank you for sharing. We appreciate it very much. Sincerely, The Snooks

Unlike some donut shops that are grease pots, the couple that owns and runs Howard's does a super job with friendly service, and maintaining a really bright and clean shop. The donuts are well done and not greasy. They have coffee drinks and other drinks to go along with your donuts in a sizable eating area.
In the mornings there is quite often a line indicating how popular it is. We get all our company donuts here each week. Just off 50 and Sunrise, good choice. Highly recommended if you get there after me :). Cheers!

For such a wonderful place to find good food and even better bakery goods, it is a smallish, place in a big urban area, but not fluffed up with self-importance like the politicos hanging out in the area. Fair Oaks is a small neighborhood east of Sacramento downtown, about 10 miles out.
It's Italian all the way, with an owner that is very involved with the success of the place, and is it ever successful. If you get in there too late on Saturday morning, your favorite little treat may already be gone!! You can get salads, either side or entrée sized, sandwiches, soups, and any of a dozen or so typical Italian foods you'd find in small cafe's in northern Italia.
The staff is always friendly, even when the people descend on them like locusts, with about one person every two seconds coming in the door to swell the inside population to a neighborly, but friendly, course of, "Good mornings" "How are you?" "Is your son/daughter playing in the big game this afternoon..." and on and on. All very nice and friendly.
Dianda's has it all, great food, wonderful bakery goods, hot delicious coffee and cappuccinos, a staff that any other restaurant would die for, and even the customers usually have a big smile on their faces!
Hard to miss this one. Street parking is the name of the game, but usually there's quite a bit of it to choose from, and if you can walk just a few dozen steps, there are other places you can easily find, to leave the close ones for the slower of foot, but wiser in years.
Be well, and eat hearty.

I've been going to this place since they opened under a different name and owner, years ago.
Zinfandel Grill owner Randy Paragary opened this place and it was very good. Zinfandel took some of the previous dishes and they're still served today.
The food was good and I liked it. Since then it's changed owners several times with promises of remodels and big changes. Never happened and the food started to go downhill.
The food uninspired and the service ranges from pretty bad to really bad. Every time I eat there I swear not again, then someone will want to meet there.
Only reason I gave it 3 stars not 2 is that the new owner seems to be trying and making it work. Hope he does

You know that most Starbucks are almost exactly the same. The differentiating factor of course is the service. During my three day stay at the hotel in which this Starbucks was located, the young lady who waited on me took the time to remember my name and would say hello every morning I passed by. Also remembered what type of coffee I wanted also. Best!

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual, welcoming atmosphere. All of our meals, soups, sauces and baked goods are freshly prepared from family recipes. We have something on our menu for everyone, from Eggs Benedict & Corned Beef Hash to the Best Burger or Salmon Dinner in town! You will enjoy fast, friendly service at a reasonable price. Value and quality delivered with a smile!
We dropped in for breakfast and, although it looked busy, we were seated promptly. The menu is extensive and offers some fun choices. I chose a blueberry scone to accompany my omelet which the gal said they make there along with cinnamon rolls, biscuits, etc. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was good. The ambience is pleasantly casual with an emphasis on the family who started the restaurant. This place offers a step up from ordinary fare.

I've been periodically coming to Sunflower since the mid-80s and I ALWAYS look forward to it, ALWAYS get excited about seeing the wild roosters/chickens, ALWAYS appreciate the kind workers, and ALWAYS love love love their nutburger!
(I almost ALWAYS get the super nut burger, which is just like the nutburger, but bigger and messier and a buck more. This time, I veganized it, so their special sauce used veganaise instead of regular mayo and I also got avocado. Yup, I know, I'm living the dream!)
There's indoor and outdoor seating, a couple of high chair, smoothies, some desserts, and very cool vibe!
Sunflower is a classic northern California place in EVERY way, so if you're in the Sacramento area or passing through on the way to or from Tahoe or wherever, check it out. I wish I lived closer.
My fav sign of theirs (with a chicken crossing the road):
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motivations questioned.
