The cafe on Oset hotell is situated right next to cross country ski tracks. The atmosphere is cosy and service is nice.
If You buy beverages You can eat Your packed lunch and the hot chocolate really is worth the stop.
We have not tried the food, but it looks nice, but of cource is Norweigean fjell prizes

The Restaurant is next to the reception, and have an excelent Ala`carte menu and very nice prices. beer and vine. And a playground utside.Hoftun Kro Is a part of Gol Camping Center, which is right by Highway 7. We have separate children's menu. Openingours varies little according to the season. Holidays and high season is Hoftun Kro is open from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. Low season has Hoftun Kro open from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. weekdays and Friday and Saturday 12:00 to 10:00 p.m.

On a very long drive we arrived in Gol and needed a hot meal. Sometimes you need to have a break away from the van!
Good selection of simple dishes to choose from and they arrive quickly and piping hot. Nothing fancy but good plain fair that is well prepared.
Salmon and chicken both come with good selection of fresh vegetables and potatoes.
Central location in town with plenty of free parking so it is easy to stop and have meal. For Norway the prices are almost reasonable.

This turned out to be a very good pizza place. There choices go beyond Italy to BBQ pizza and a beef pizza served with Bernaise sauce. My wife liked the Bernaise . I had normal ingredients like pepperoni. The pizzas were loaded with great cheese. Very pleasant and attentive service.

We were on a tour, from Lofthus to Oslo, and on our own for quick lunch. Gol Bakery was right in the middle of town.
It is cafeteria style, order what you want, find a seat somewhere and eat. The 7 of us all felt we got a good meal at reasonable prices, and quickly.

Kjersti is both a confectioner and a cook. For lunch you can enjoy excellent sandviches and cakes. Try out the cakes - they are very special. Our restaurant is in the sentrum of Gol, and its easy to get parking place there too, we are serving Norwegian food, and Eurpean food, in a special way:) In the kitchen we have the best chef`s in work, and its open kitchen so you see the chefs in action there, the menue is in Norwegian and in English, and you will guarantee find something you like. For the children we have own place in the 2.floor. We also have a fantastic buffe every day, with hot food,dessert and cofee for 165,- So wish you all welcome for food adventures:)

I have been visiting this place many times the last eight years. It is a natural choice when travelling by bus from Eastern to Western Norway, but most importantly: The food is always great. The club Sandwich has long been a favourite, it is delicious. All in all, I have never felt disappointed after a lunch or dinner here. Worth a visit. When in Gol, don't be a fo(o)l :)

We ordered a fried duck and a lamb stew with vegetables. The food arrived in about 20 minutes - faster than I expected considering the place looked quite busy. The lamb was surprisingly soft. Both dishes were simply delicious. The place was clean, with oriental decorations and soft oriental music in the background.
