Went here on our second night at Gerês mainly because of the TripAdvisor score, awesome food, perfectly cooked 'picanha', staff is a little bit unorganized and that's why they won't get the 5 star rating, the food is awesome and for that reason only will come back for sure.

Adega do Ramalho is a rustic, comfortable and cosy restaurant, located in the Geres, is perfect to taste traditional food of Minho. The restaurant is open all year and provides a service for family lunches and dinners, but also coffee, snack bar and snacks.

Among the main dishes of the house stand out Rojoes a Portuguesa (traditional dish of Portugal consisting of bits of fried pork with potato, pig's blood and tripe), the roast veal in a wood oven, the typical Caldo Verde (vegetable soup), as well as entries with traditional smoked sausages (bread and garlic sausage, chorizo, codfish balls, among other specialties).

The Restaurant Adega do Ramalho is the best place for those in Geres want to enjoy moments of pleasure associated with the table and eat well.
This has been, for quite a few years, my favorite restaurant at Gerês National Park. The food is delicious, and typical home made. Desserts are also extraordinary. Very friendly and available staff, always with a smile. Considering food quantity and quality, it's indeed a cheap place to have an excellent meal. Veal and codfish are surely my favorites. Also try the local red wine, very fresh! It will be a great experience!

Our hotel suggested this restaurant to us and we were not disappointed. With typical Portuguese meal prices, we were very satisfied with the staff and environment (very nice interior, nice music but not too high and a relaxed, no-fuss atmosphere). We ordered more than we could eat for around 19 euros each (entrees, drinks, soup, veal, venison and desserts). The food was delicious and certainly worth 10€ per main dish. We will try other restaurants in the area, but the Geresiana has set the bar quite high. 100% recommended.

The service was good - but we're rarely so disappointed with the food as we were at Capela's. We ordered a steak (I think it was the Capela steak with the sausages and the egg) and a grilled salmon.
We asked for no sausages because we don't eat pork. The waitress brought us steak with sausages on it. After we pointed out that we don't eat pork, the waitress took the plate and after a few minutes her (we assume?) mum who was the cook came to the table and threw the plate on our table. No words, the content exactly the same, just the sausages removed. The steak was bloody and meat did not taste fresh. Possibly one of the worst meals I've had in my life. As for salmon - the taste was ok but the bottom was burnt (charcoal black) which put us off.
Needless to say that we skipped the desert. They also wanted to charge us for more drinks than we consumed. I would like to believe that it was a genuine mistake, but nevertheless we were very disappointed with the experience and will never return.

Can You imagine yourself enjoying the green scenery of the mountain, feeling the fresh air while tasting some of the most appetizing dishes of the Minho cuisine? You have to visit to believe….

Restaurant Cerdeira has become a reference from the local gastronomy, almost typical and very cozy, with capacity for 100 people, it’s opened to the general public, due to its localization near the entrance of the camping.

We aim to bring to the table the best products of our region; in the meats, the veal and the kid or lamb and from the garden, the best vegetables from each season. In the fishes, the codfish does the honors in the table.

Chef's suggestions:

- Piece of Geres
- Grilled veal cutlet - indigenous breed (2 people)
- Codfish with roasted corn bread
- Codfish Cerdeira style
- Egg pudding

In addition to the lunches and dinners a la carte, groups can choose from pre-defined menus (on request).

During the cold season, our offer expands to more traditional dishes from the region, with a special reference to Bersame (boiled yellow beans, green cabbage, potatoes, smoked and salt-cured pork meat).

Vegan dishes on the menu and food intolerance/celiac dishes by request.

Take away available, so that you can enjoy our delights in the comfort of the bungalow or in the camping.
This restaurant is in the campsite so we did not have high expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised.
Whilst there was a limited range of dishes they were international in flavour and very, very good. The quality, taste, presentation and quantity were all better than I expected - really very good.
Best of all the prices were quite modest. A big surprise alll round.
Recommended.

This is one of my favorites. Been searching for this place in different guides, found it finally after some attempts. They are a very small restaurant, family owned, that serves very typical Portuguese food. Charming location, in the middle of nowhere, little small village called Covide, close by Campo do Geres and their hiking tracks,
I'm almost sure that are not always open, so make sure they will be open when you visit and make sure to book a table.
I made a reservation and order on request a roasted kid (cabrito assado no forno), and was simply superb. I'm sure the big steak (posta) is also great and tender!
Unpretentious food, nice staff and beautiful location.

We went to this restaurant because we've seen outdoor publicity, after all we found a very nice place with amazing view. All staff was very friendly, food was very good and made at the moment... The relation between price and food quality was very good.
I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are nearby, even to have some snacks in afternoon!!

We had meat and it was quite good, the servings are more than adequate and you can even have foreign beers (but i'd stay with the great Portuguese wines).
Be careful, they don't take cards, so cash only!
