Wandering the narrow caruggi alleyways of Genoa is a bit like solving a medieval labyrinth. In the heart of the Italian port city lies Piazza de Ferrari, a main square with a beautiful fountain and a perimeter lined with historic buildings, including the Palace of the Doges the Teatro Carlo Felice, which was destroyed during WWII and subsequently rebuilt. The seaside neighborhood of Boccadasse is vision of pink and yellow buildings that brighten up this lovely fishing village.

You would never just stumble upon this place and we only happened upon it when looking online for somewhere to eat. It came highly recommended and when we arrived there was no one there, so we were slightly apprehensive. We need not have been, as we were just on the early side as the place was packed out in no time. And we could really see why. The food was absolutely fantastic, with a great wine list, too. Very much somewhere that food is an art form, as the presentation was beautiful. Prices perhaps on the higher side for Genoa, but nothing extortionate. Service was friendly and although English was lacking, we got by and had a great time. One not to miss.

One of the best restaurants we got to eat at in Genova.
Very friendly and helpful service, guiding you in order to get optimum dishes. That's all clear here indeed, you'll probably end up with grilled meats, which are indeed fantastic: tender, well seasoned, all what you're running after.
Go there, you won't regret your 60€ bill for 2 persons including wine and starter.

This small, intimate post, a bit off the beaten path and away from the historical center (in San Martino) is worth whatever it takes to get you there to dine. The dishes are original, made with fantasy and genuine artistry. The primi (gnocchi, paste) are prepared to perfection, the pesto is unforgettable, the antipasti are unique and always changing. The marmalada di cipole served with the tagliata, the gnocchi a pesto, are just a few of the wonderful dishes. The owners and partners, from the kitchen to the bar, are full of genuine pride for their dishes and place with a youthful enthusiasm that makes you want to return. Not to be missed!

Charming place, huge variety of savour and sweet crepes. We chose one with ham, cheese, tomato and egg and the other one with fresh cheese. Crepes are preprepared, but the taste is still amazing. They are filled and heated in front of you. Will definitely advise to check the place for breakfast/lunch.

The place is purely authentic: the food is amazing, everything is freshly cooked. The service is very good, the stuff is very friendly and the location makes you feel like home. We highly recommend this place, if you are looking for an authentic experience. Gratie to the cook :)

The offer the best burgers in the city, of many different kinds so you can be sure to find something that suits your needs. The only downsides are the wait times if you arrive during peak hours and the very limited seatings, most of the people just takes the burgers and eat them somewhere else.

I imagine that providing people food from behind the counter each day is a real achievement when they are so interested and thankful. Because food at Zimino makes you feel this way, it's all about the food and the people, everything else is disposable. We had 3 dishes, took them to our rented apartment nearby and greatly enjoyed them. It does not even matter what dishes you pick, we tasted more. Very good prices.

Our Giotto Restaurant offers an elegant and refined atmosphere on the second floor of the hotel in the room that goes by the same name. Service is available both to hotel guests and local passersby alike, with a rich menu proposal and our à la carte menu offered both at lunch and at dinner. Strong attention is devoted to children with a special dedicated menu. On request, we can also provide dishes suitable to persons suffering from the celiac disease. Giotto restaurant is particularly appropriate in case of special events or banquets, also because from April to September it doubles its spaces with our open Terrace. The two sails that shelter it from the hot Italian sun render it a one of a kind location.
We booked in to the Bristol because of the ratings of its restaurant and were not disappointed.
My wife had the fish of the day . I had the roast rabbit, followed by marinated pear.
With starters, wine and aparitif in the bar the bill came to just over €100.
Not bad considering the quality of the food and service and the sophisticated atmosphere.
Apart from hotel residents, the restaurant seems to attract well-heeled locals.
