This Norwegian tourist town is a magnet for outdoor adventurers, who flock each year for the Geiranger - From Fjord to Summit half-marathon and bike race. This World Heritage site is a popular stop-over for cruise ships. Don’t miss the awe-inspiring fjord and waterfalls, especially the Seven Sisters, the Suitor and the Bridal Veil.

A well-established restaurant in the middle of Geiranger’s pedestrian street. Unique outdoor Seating by the fjord or inside in the old boathouse atmosphere. We are known for Geiranger’s best pizza and beef strips with creamy sauce. We also serve traditional Norwegian dishes such as salmon, local sausages and fish soup. Open for the summer season 16.5-17.9 2017
If you’re buying lunch in Geiranger, you’re probably either doing so as a change from eating in your camper van or, more likely, as a change from the food on your cruise ship. We were the latter, travelling on one of the three ships that were moored in the fjord off the village. That volume of visitors must overwhelm the resident population and, inherently, it means everywhere is touristy.
We picked this place for no other reason than it had a few tables on a patio at the water’s edge, so great views. There’s a short lunch menu that provided pizza for one of us. For the other, thick, meaty (smoked pork ?) sausages with boiled potatoes, red cabbage and mashed swede. It was a really nice nourishing plate of food that would have shouted “Scandi” at you, before Scandi food became all trendy foraging and preserving stuff.

A restaurant, cafe and gift shop under one roof! Olebuda / CafeOle is located in the centre of Geiranger. A modern food emporium in a traditional venue, Olebuda makes history as the first grocery store and steamship expedition in Geiranger. A modern coffeeshop with high quality. We serve international coffee drinks, cakes and light meals. We also serve beer and wine. You can enjoy our pleasant Terrace all the way up the pedestrian street, in the middle of Geiranger, or in our colorful restaurant. Open from 29.4 til 29.10 2017
If you're in need of some caffeine and want to watch the crowds pass by with a hot cuppa this is a good place to sit down. The coffees are decent enough and the outside Terrace is small but cute.

A restaurant, cafe and gift shop under one roof! Olebuda is located in the centre of Geiranger. A modern restaurant in a traditional venue, Olebuda was the first local grocery store in Geiranger. Olebuda with its central location has been in business ever since the first tourists started coming to Geiranger around 1880. At Olebuda you can be part of the lively street life or you can retire to the Terrace just below Westeråsfjellet. On the second floor, you will find our nice à la carte restaurant. Ideal for a romantic dinner for two, business dinners or other small or large dinner parties. Our philosophy is to use traditional ingredients of today, but with respect for our forebears. Olebuda is a full service restaurant. It is possible to book a separate space for groups of 10-12 people. The restaurant’s maximum capacity is 60 people inside and 100 outside. On our idyllic Terrace you can order food at the table or take drinks from the bar. You may also take your coffee from our cafe on the first floor and enjoy it on the Terrace. We are open all year for advance bookings from groups. Out of season, you can hire the entire restaurant premises fully-equipped and you may even bring your own chef and food. The a´la carte RestaurantOlebuda is open 25.5-3.9.2017, and the coffee shop CafeOle is open 29.4-29.10 2017
The food at this little restaurant was absolutely amazing. We had most of the things on the menu and the best was the salmon. everything else was also amazing including the lamb burger and the amazing pizza

Took advise from others for a cheese pizza lunch and enjoyed our meal of pizza and beer.
Good for a quick meal in between the activities or in need of a toilet break.
They have both indoor n outdoor Seating.
While you there don't forget to photo the 'the traditional wooden boat landing house' or boat landing area? Looks great on photo.

Restaurant with a view! Here you find a Nordic themed gastronomy using only local produce. Everything we do, we do with passion and pride. Come dine with us at Grande Fjord Hotel!
We had 5 fabulous meals here, 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners. They provide an extensive, high quality buffet at very reasonable prices. The pork loin, made to order pastas and roast beef were my favorites. I loved the variety of fresh fruit, cheeses and breads...MoreHi! Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed our restaurant and food! Hope to see you again some time! Best regards Aleksander Grande, Hotel Manager

You will not leave here discgruntled or hungry.
The buffet in the Skageflå restaurant is one of the three best culinary experiences in Geiranger.. this is an excellent Scandinavian buffet for an international clientell, fantastic sea foods and deep sea shellfish, hot meats and cold desserts,a good variety of cheeses, and the quality of the experience is, in my opinion, much higher than the price you pay. The wine list is good, their beers and mineral waters are cold and they make real coffee..

The Coach Station. Fill you up with great norwegianstyle food and drink, and wisk you off to the fjords. Local. Traditional. Artisan.
Some of Norway's fjords strike me as being amongst the most beautiful places in the world.
Geirangerfjord is one of these. To sit there looking at the raw beauty of the water-filled ravine and the endless Waterfalls is really something. I so hope that we try not to hasten the end of the world's natural beauty any more quickly than we are already doing. Meanwhile sit here and have a drink in wonderment .

We ate here early on a weekday and it was very quiet. Our waiter was very charming and friendly. The complimentary beer bread was really yummy. I ordered the reindeer pizza. It was very tasty and I loved the creative mix of toppings - reindeer, mushrooms, spring onions and lingonberries. Very good! My husband had trout and said it was the best meal he had on the holiday so far and cooked really well. Service was superb and prices fairly reasonable for Norway.
Definitely recommend.

What a wonderful meal with very friendly service. Such farm-fresh quality ingredients made for tasty dishes. We enjoyed the squash soup and the meat (pork) soup. We had a large garden salad, as well as beef entrecote with beetsauce--all wonderfully prepared. We thought the dessert waffles with chocolate were exceptional. Don't miss having lunch here!!

We just finished a bus tour in the fjords and we spotted this bakery on the main street and stopped in. It has high top tables with stools but it is very small - only 5-6 tables and did have a few tables outside but it was raining. We ordered a cinnamon and chocolate bun with coffee and found a corner in the back of the bakery to eat. It was so tasty and the buns melted in your mouth. Great stopping spot for a snack as you are touring this lovely area.
