this is the second time I am here, but still there are many parts of the park that I cannot cover...looks like I need another trip and allocate much more time for it.
Get early booking for accommodation inside the park as it will cut down on your commute time to everywhere. This is a very large park and will take 1.5-2 hrs just driving through.

There were lots of Gluten and Dairy free items and quite a few items for other specialty diet people like my own family. The prices were a little higher than what we were used to, but definitely reasonable based on the location (small-town/wilderness) and availability (1 hr to next major city - Livingston). The staff were friendly and helpful and it was just nice to be able to have some selection available.

The Lighthouse Restaurant is located in a large 6000 Square foot structure that was built in the 1920's. The main dining room is constructed with wood and logs and has a nice, warm and casual atmosphere. We are located 7 miles north of Gardiner off of highway 89 and the restaurant is surrounded by beautiful mountains and is located 1 mile away from the historic natural wonder (The Devil's Slide). We are open May 21 through September 21 each season.
The restaurant offers great quality food at reasonable prices, being just outside the town makes it easier to access but unless you get there early you would need to book, the queue outside testifies to the quality of the food.

The CORRAL- home for a rare species of hamburger since 1961. Bacon cheeseburgers and BUFFALO burgers are a specialty. Restaurant is Part of Farm to Table progrAm of Western Sustainability Exchange. Providing the best food by finding Fresh, Local, Organic, Sustainable products always when possible.
Great little joint outside Yellowstone that specializes in fast greasy foods (burgers, fries, etc.). Tried Elk, Bison, while kids opted for standard moo-cow burgers. Honestly cannot tell the difference between so hopefully we got what we ordered. That said, taste was on point. Patio seating was airy and wonderful, accommodating whole family. On site restrooms were clean. For burgers, a little pricey. Service was friendly.

We ate here after one of the local businesses said they had the best pizza and it was really NY pizza. It's not the best pizza but its ok. The service was okay, but they were mostly interested in talking with each other. Had to ask for more water and had to ask for bill. It's a pizza place that's okay to eat at.

Our tour guide told us to go early, but I didn’t realize we should get there before 5 PM. We got there before things got crazy and ordered a medium pizza, which was more then enough for two and very good with a great crust, but the place filled up. With only one server and one cook, everything slowed to a crawl and got crazy. I gave it a very good rating, not because of service, but because of the quality of the pizza.

New american cuisine. Open at 4 p.m. to ten p.m full services restaurant.
We stopped in after reading the menu which has fine dining items and higher prices to match. Unfortunately the service was poor, the atmosphere was cheap, and the food quality didn't come close to matching the high prices. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

We ate at the Iron Horse Bar & Grill during our stay in Gardiner. The patio has a nice view that overlooks the river. I ordered their BBQ pork rib dinner. It was very good. The meat was fall off the bone tender. My dinner included a baked potato and corn on the cob. Their Shepard's pie was also very good.

Nice coffeeshop on the way to Yellowstone, unfortunately the very demonstration why students and temps can not make 100% of staffing of a restaurant: 15mins wait for two grilled cheese to go, spent not so much on cooking time but on deciding who does what and how - live training is important but if by early August nobody knows how to do a sandwich, regular coffee not operate payment system, something is wrong there, irrespectively how nice the staff is...
