Our Place has the best chicken salad you will ever eat. The Greek salad is also delicious. Evelyn's Special is also a favorite. I will stop at Our Place at least once a week. The owners are friendly and their staff brings your order quickly. The chili is really good on a cold day with a grilled cheese, but if you ever stop by and they have the Lemon Chicken soup get a bowl and order one to take home. I have tried many others but theirs can't be beaten.

I've stopped at Donut Joe's numerous times & have often had to wait several minutes for service, but only because they're so popular & so busy. The staff is super friendly & the donuts are absolutely scrumptious. Always like to pick up some donut holes when I'm nearby.

Full Moon has a long, delicious history of great Southern-style 'que made in the time-honored, traditional way — with quality meats cooked low and slow over a hickory wood-fired pit and spiced with a mouthwatering, award-winning bar-b-que sauce. We are famous for our ribs, pork sandwiches, Turkey sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, loaded bbq & chicken bakers and half moon cookies.
Was across the street from Comfort Inn, visited on Friday night, drive thru was busy so tried it. Menu on wall didn't match online. Was out of all wings, BBQ chicken and fish. Toughest and driest beef brisket ever with little flavor. Pulled pork just ok, mac & cheese, vinegar slaw and fried green tomatoes were good. Was out of Miller Lite, one Mich Ultra left, a few other beer on the menu. Won't go back when in area.

Ribs. Pork. Chicken. Brisket. Hell, even sausage. All BBQ has the same three basic ingredients: smoke, meat and time. What makes it different is the amount, consideration and attention to each part of that recipe. That, and some really great bbq sauce, too. At Jim ‘N Nick’s, we pride ourselves on using the right ingredients, taking our time and honoring the traditions that brought us barbecue.
We always eat at one of the locations when we travel through Birmingham and this one was the best we've had yet. Fast service and lots of rolls- probably ate too many because they were fresh warm and delicious. Turkey and pulled pork delicious. Sides amazing.

DQ was open for years in Gardendale, then closed. This was the 1st time we've used the drive-thru since this one opened. We ordered 4 Blizzards & were handed messy cups with no lids, running over & only with one napkin wrapped around each cup - no extras. I had to asked for extra napkins. As we pulled away the cashier shouted at us, "Hey, did you pay?" We backed up & I had to show her my receipt. She said she must have put in our order twice, whatever that meant. Our Blizzards were good, but none of them were very well mixed. All of the chocolate & pecans or cookie pieces were in the top portion. The lower half was just plain ol' vanilla. That was a 1st, too. In the past our Blizzards were packed with chocolate, etc all the way to the last bite.

I dashed through the drive-thru to grab a breakfast snack and got the 3 minis of roll/chicken and a soft drink. Service was lightning fast. Food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. I could eat this for breakfast every day. Wish every restaurant had a friendly courteous staff like this one.

Excellent menu and prices. Food is fresh and not greasy. Great specials everyday. They even allow you to try all the sides and not charge you extra. The management is very friendly and the wait staff is very knowledgeable and swift.

Pasquales was the only non-chain restaurant we found in our search for restaurants during an overnight stop in Gardendale, AL. We always prefer local eateries to the chains. Walked into a smallish pizza joint located in a small strip of businesses...adjacent to a phone repair store and a cash for gold shop. There appeared to be a buffet of sorts with a portable salad bar on a cart near the ordering counter, and some pans of assorted sliced pizzas also on the counter. The woman at the register never mentioned that a buffet was an option though. The menu board was hard to read, so we grabbed the take out pamphlet to see what was available. Can't say there was any warmth or pleasantries offered by anyone working here. Ordered a chef salad to share, two beers, and two 8 inch individual pizzas. Took a number. Found a table. Went back to counter when number was called. Average everything. Pizza, salad, service. Wouldn't recommend or discourage customers, but it's unlikely that we'd make another visit. The garlic bread and bread sticks seemed to be most popular menu choices with other diners around us.

Good food, reasonably priced. The boneless wings are always the same. They taste somewhat slimy, and the battering has hard, marble like chunks in them. Good menu items otherwise, and sweet waitresses.
