Gammarth (Tunisian Arabic: ڨمرت gāmmart) is a town on the Mediterranean Sea in the Tunis Governorate of Tunisia, located some 15 to 20 kilometres north of Tunis, adjacent to La Marsa. It is an upmarket seaside resort, known for its expensive hotels and shops. Gammarth began as a small fishing village but following independence from France it blossomed into a resort from the 1950s. Tourism now provides the backbone to the local economy. Gammarth has many five-star hotels and restaurants and also contains many lavish white villas and coves in the vicinity. Notable villas include Abou Nawas Gammarth and Les Dunes.

With a group of french friends we came back to Le Grand Bleu after many years. Not disappointed at all : Service is friendly and efficient, fish is always fresh and the Terrace view gorgious. Inspite of the lack of tourists, they struggle to maintain...MoreMerci de nous avoir choisit. Et au plaisir de vous revoir parmi- nous.

The ambience of this restaurant is very different from most restaurants in Tunis, the menu however is average. Several items of the menu were not available due to season and no alternatives were offered. The staff are not very attentive and make very little effort to provide advice to guests; also, they do not possess any knowledge whatsoever about their wines. Still, the food was good and the ambience made up for the poor service.

Nouvelle Toque à Dar Zarrouk :Le nouveau Chef vous convie à une balade gourmande et vous fait découvrir ses plats raffinés riches en saveurs authentiques.Ouvert 7J/7 service en continu à partir de 12h00
I came to attend a medical conference in Tunis, Tunisia . Tonight the dinner was arranged to be at this restaurent and the arrangement was done few days prior to arrival.
We were around 75 persons and we were expecting extra ordinary service.
One ☝️ person was serving the whole group with the juice and another 2 persons serving the food for seventy five doctors !!!!
The food taste bad and the quantities are small. The food presentation was not very impressive.
I do not recommend this place for groups though I am not sure if it is good for few people.

Situe sur la plage de Sidi Abdelaziz a La Marsa, le restaurant Le Golfe vous accueille depuis plus de 50 ans de midi a minuit en service continu.
It's difficult to beat Le Golfe on a warm afternoon: what is better than enjoying fresh seafood overlooking the sea.
So why not the maximum score: the food was good but not wowing and sitting there on a colder night with the plastic windows down makes the restaurant immediately less enchanting!
Conclusion: Le Golfe is an upscale 'beach restaurant' and my top choice in the area.

New and old style combined together. Our aim is to provide the nicest food possible with variety every week. Our famous blackboards change everyday, so you will never be bored of our menu.
It's one of those places that you're not immediately grabbed by - but as the evening grows you'll appreciate this expat hangout. The waiters are good, the choices classic and as with every restaurant it's about the company. You'll have fun here - even the desserts are amazing!

This is the most popular (and en vogue) restaurant in Tunis now. It serves a French-Italian-Tunisian cuisine. La Closerie's food is delicious, and it's excellent for people watching (particularly of the Tunisian jet-set). You can find some information about it in French on the Tunisian restaurant website resto-tunisie: http://www.resto-tunisie.com/restaurant-la-closerie-,tunisie,484.html

It was worthwhile driving from La Marsa to Gammarth where the restaurant is located, contrary to the map published on Tripadvisor, totally misleading. Nice atmosphere, warm welcoming, good advice from the server and excellent food. The appetizer was excellent as well as the duck and the curry beef. Will go back.

This restaurant is literally on the water, with wonderful sunset views over the Mediteranean. The food was excellent and served in a beautiful setting

I had dinner here with my family in May 2014, because I remembered the cosy and welcoming garden that I had seen a few times. Well, the food was really bad unfortunately. The sauce on the paste was probably ketchup. The bruschetta they served was really disappointing, too. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.
