The Fort Printers offers a fresh and vibrant menu that uses predominantly fresh seafood and organic local produce. The chiefs plan the menu for the day based on guests’ preferences, and lovingly create soups, mezzes, and mains comprising grilled fresh seafood, Mediterranean inspired specialties, and traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry (which includes several vegetable dishes and at least one fish or meat curry). As seafood and particularly yellow fin tuna is abundant in the area, you can expect to find dishes with sashimi, grilled or seared tuna, lobster, prawns and several kinds of fish. The meals are served in the frangipani courtyard overlooking the thin lap pool or in the grand dining room and at times to suit the whims of the guests.
The dining room is at the front of this elegantly modernised building and the chairs and setting
were very comfortable We enjoyed a mixture of Sri Lankan and fusion dishes, with an outstanding lobster salad in a roti to start and a very good traditional Sri Lankan curry to follow. To full for dessert after that! The waiter was attentive, and unusually for Sri Lankan hotels was very happy to let us sit and talk between courses. Certainly worth a visit if you are in Galle for more than a day or two

We stumbled across this lovely little restaurant one hot afternoon & were rewarded by the best meal we ate in the Fort, at far pricier & fancier establishments. The chicken curry we ordered was cooked freshly for us & good quality breast meat was used, spiced as much as we wanted. The accompanying dishes, including a gorgeous pineapple curry, were fantastic. The restaurant is clean, cute & comfortable with friendly service and remarkable value for money.

One travels on a moderately long trip out of Colombo Sri Lanka, thank goodness for the expressways and end up in Galle Sri Lanka on a family and friends outing. We attend Sunday Service I think and have a lovely lunch and someone says, hey why not go to, I quote "Crepe Ology for dessert?" and everyone says "Crepo what?" So we did Crepe Ology, what a fantastic little place. Excellent Service, quaint homely place, nice!! Lovely people and lovely Crepes. They made our day. Not to be missed.

Dinner on our first night in Galle and what a lovely restaurant. Small and tucked behind a wall on Lighthouse Road, but so worth visiting. My wife had a Thai dish and I had tuna with rice and roasted vegetables. Perfectly cooked and presented. My passion fruit creme brûlée was quite superb. Service was friendly and efficient.

Place is on a back road, simple looks, no booking, fills up quickly but quick service. Not much choice, mainly Sri Lankan ‘curry rice’ which here involves ten different curries. It was about £7 for two people, cold beer served, fresh fruit drinks very good. Toilets not great but good place overall.

Ordered vegetable curry and had small expectations but turned out an excellent idea and a great curry . Lots of carrots and rice with coconut flavour . Well worth the visit and price reasonable

Everything we serve is prepared in house except for the ice cream and fizzy drinks. We use natural ingredients as much as possible.
The burger on the sign sucked us in! Cute, funny quips on the signs and stairs lulled us into a false sense of security. But such a disappointment! The quality of the beef in the burger was awful. Chunks of bone and gristle and a definite gamey (old) flavor. The macaroni and cheese balls tasted like nothing at all. Just an unpleasant paste smothered in ketchup. The Jalapeno poppers at least had flavor, but of bitter pepper and bland cheese. Service was very slow too. Nothing at all to complement here. Sorry.

A restaurant serving Arabic and Middle Eastern food
We’ve been in SL for almost two months and every time when we go through Galle, we look forward to eating different kinds of food. Their Moroccan food satisfied our need for the change. We visited this place three times and ordered tabbouleh, chicken tagine, hummus and a chicken roll. The chicken roll and the pita bread for hummus were excellent, one of the best we’ve ever had!!! Try this place, and you wouldn’t regret.

We ordered the marinated chicken and were really surprised to realize that they served us fish instead. It was well marinated, and it would have been great - had we ordered fish. The atmosphere is a bit dull, and they don't serve alcohol. It is a beautiful building, with a great interior. I would recommend it for lunch, not dinner.
