Fripp Island is a 6.546 sq mi (16.954 km²) barrier island located along the Atlantic coast of the lowcountry part of South Carolina. It is approximately 21 miles from Beaufort, 96 miles south of Charleston, and 65 miles north of Savannah, Georgia. Some of the neighboring islands include Hunting Island, St. Helena Island, and Lady's Island. This is beautiful restaurant right on back waters with incredible sunset views. They had live jazz music indoors. We had large family group and were more than accommodating with babies to sit on porch. They helped take sunset photos and the food was incredible! Went with very picky eaters and every person down the table said one best meals in South in a long time. Well worth the trip to Dataw and escape from Fripp and drive all way to Beaufort! Check it out!

Ate here on Saturday, June 24th while staying on Fripp Island, SC. Food is good, view is spectacular! This night they were short a couple of servers, so service was good, but not great. Waitress was excellent, but you could tell she was overwhelmed. We were on the balcony dinning area and the view here for sunset is wonderful. Highly recommend trying this!

We have been going to Marsh Tacky for two years. Bobby, the owner, is a down to earth guy that is always willing to have conversation. They have great sandwiches and salads. They also sell cold beer, many from Charleston breweries, bug spray, hats, t-shirts,ice, and various other items. I forgot, Bobby also has breakfast. Drop by for a beautiful sunset!

Our family visited here on a Sunday afternoon around 2:00 while staying at Hunting Island State Park after visiting Fripp Island. We were seated quickly and the server came by shortly after. We ordered off the lunch menu with fried shrimp as an appetizer (very good), and our meals as blackened fish sandwich (good), two people had fish and chips (good) and my daughter had the BBQ wings (very good). My wife had a drink and I had a beer. Tab was just under seventy dollars. Overall, I would rate the service as very good.

On visit to Penn Center, we asked for a good place for lunch, and was told "you have to go to MJ's." The recommendation was spot on! Great fried chicken, collards, yams, sweet tea and cornbread to die for. Bread pudding and red velvet cake! Great, friendly service. Don't let outside fool you - this is a white tablecloth establishment.

Spring Tide is the only place on Fripp Island where you can get food without having an amenity card. All day breakfast, sandwiches, salads, burritos, and deli meats and cheeses by the pound are available for any hungry islander. Everything I have tried has been good, and they have ice cream treats for dessert. The store also has staple essentials that you may have run out of or forgot to pack. Staple items are more expensive than at stores on the mainland, but the convenience of not having to drive to town makes it worthwhile.

In the historic Frogmore district of St. Helena Island. Reservations not required, but suggested for large parties. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dine in or take out. Featuring locally grown produce and locally caught seafood.
I would first like to state that Bella Luna removed my review from their Facebook website which indicates to me that they only allow visitors to read positive remarks and refuse to accept responsibility concerning unfavorable experiences. I guess they are perfect & believe no one is entitled to opinions they don't agree with. Again, I haven't tried the food yet but I can say this, don't call to place an order from this place if you have any questions. Unless you want a lesson in menu form or an argumentative employee talking down to you. This woman was extremely rude and condescending. I don't necessarily believe that "the customer is always right" but I know from experience that each customer has a right to be treated with dignity & respect. Questions can be annoying but nonetheless should be answered kindly. All suggestions should at least be considered. ? Oh, and I was also informed that I wouldn't be receiving a plate with my to go order! Really! I thought it came with that....Wow! Having worked in all aspects of restaurant service as well as educated on the field of Hospitality, I know this to be not only expected but also required. I have heard the food is good here. With service like this, I guess I'll never know for sure.

We are a locally owned family restaurant specializing in seafood, steak, ribs, and a variety of great desserts. The restaurant is under new ownership and management as of April 2017. Please stop back in if you've been gone for a while, or if you've never joined us come in for a night of great people, great food, and a fun atmosphere.
Stopped on our way back to Beaufort from Hunting Island State Park. It was shrimp night! Had shrimp and chicken with crab cakes. Everything was delicious! By the time we left the place was packed with people. Good service and laid back atmosphere.
