Stopped in for lunch for the first time. There was a good selection on the abbreviated lunch menu and had a regular menu. We both ordered from the $5 menu which basically had items for $5.95. A little misleading but we were ok with it. We were served fairly quickly and from then on our waitress literally disappeared without any explanation.
Another waitress followed up with us and checked us out. It wasn't very well taken.
My fish was dry and I had to ask for tartar sauce. My wife's salad was very generous and good.

I love the food here. Their sauce on the pizza/spaghetti is awesome! The salads are superb as well! The staff seems to change often but the food is great. My favorite place in FDL, I recommend!

Had the unfortunate opportunity to sample a cheese, & a pepperoni pizza delivered from Joe's this past week. (Local family members we were visiting ordered these- claiming they were great.) Ok- so they have a thin crust: Is this all a pizzeria needs to achieve to be considered the best in Fond du Lac?!? These pizzas reminded me of the limited, bland, & extremely greasy pizzas you would have expected to see "staring" on the pizzeria menus 50-60 years ago. I don't consider myself a pizza "snob" by any stretch, but I want pizza (thin or thick-crusted) that isn't afraid of delivering interesting flavors, textures, and ingredients. Joe's pizza's don't seem to deliver any of these.

We had lunch at Schmitty's The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and my pulled pork sandwich was outstanding. My wife said that her hamburger was also delicious. Not a fancy place but good food and a nice setting.

This outstanding restaurant has been serving travelers and locals for more years than I remember. What a dedicated staff. Most of the waitresses are middle age, dressed neatly in their crisp white uniform. The fact that they retain experienced staff is sign to me that they are well managed and keep their employees as well as their customers happy. Sheri was no exception today. She has worked there 41 years - and appears as energetic and dedicated to her work as she did when she started!! What a sweet, caring ball of energy! Food is comfy homemade comfort foods - always delicious, hot and served with a smile. Bravo, cooks, waitresses, servers and management. A great mix of Quality n Value. My family hopes you are still in business for as many years as we continue to pass through from Milwaukee to Appleton or Minneapolis

We take the family here around once a month for dinner. The menu is large, but we've only had sandwiches and salads. The service is always attentive and the food is always tasty! The new rooftop terrace is impressive, but be prepared that there is little shade to be found.

This is a great restaurant to take a large group, not only are they good at handling it, the diverse menu pretty well guarantees that everyone can find something to their taste. Often, a menu this diverse means that nothing is really outstanding, but here I'd say several dishes exceeded expectations. The portions are large and it would be hard to leave hungry. Our group took good advantage of the variety on the menu, some ordering the breakfast items available any time, others ordering dinner or sandwiches. I went with the restaurant's Greek roots and ordered a Gyro, and I wasn't disappointed. My only complaint was that the pita was so loaded I couldn't actually pick it up and eat it, I had to cut it and eat it with a fork, not a bad problem to have I guess. Our waitress, Lexi, cheerfully put up with confusion caused by one member of our party being late, first we were waiting, then we learned he was farther away than we thought, and ordered without him, and he showed up 20 minutes later and Lexi was right there to take his order and get us back on schedule. The prices here are very reasonable, and several people mentioned that they'd gladly return here next year when we're in the area again.
