We went for Blizzards. My favorite is Resses with chocolate ice cream. This store doesn't carry chocolate ice cream, but they put coco fudge in the blizzard to try to accomodate me. Turns out my new favorite is Reeses with coco fudge. Great staff, clean restaurant, give them a try.

The restaurant is small but inviting and clean. The service was quick and the Thai food was well prepared and served in an attractive manner. There were quite a few people in the restaurant but the noise level remained very good for private conversation. Beer and wine is available. We heard the trains while dining as that is such an interesting aspect of this train crossroads town.

We asked some locals where they recommended as the best restaurant in town, and each said this place...so, with little knowledge, we went, and were surprised by the buffet. The chicken was good, as were most of the items. Desserts were ice cream from a freezer and something in a small bowl.
Service was friendly, and the place was definitely full of locals.
By the way...the rolls are to die for! So good!
I really liked this place...affordable and tasty!

if you want finger lickin' smoked chicken and ribs with a mustard based sauce ( SC style ) . good slaw , and juice dripping down your arm then Jalen's is the place - the place is clean ( except for the rest room pretty bad - just don't touch anything and you'll be okay ) but the food is killer !!

We serve homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s. BlueBell Ice cream served daily. Many gifts including train prints, shirts and more.
You may enter as a customer but you will leave as a friend. The owner, Dixie, is very hands-on and welcomes everyone with great enthusiasm. The food is excellent and so is the service.. A true Southern experience. Don't miss it.

This business provides boat rentals, swamp tours and a gift shop in addition to this small cafe. What a surprise! One wouldn't expect much from this type of set up, but they offer good burgers, vegie burgers, vegie sandwiches, subs, fries, rings and other goodies. I ate with a group of volunteers from the Wildlife Refuge and, while we mostly ate different things, we all said we would be back often.

Half a block off the main drag in Folkston, I was greeted loudly and happily by Patrick, the owner (and head waiter for my Sunday lunch). It's a small restaurant, with choice of booths and tables, and could probably hold 40-50 patrons. It was about half full with nearly all locals who came to enjoy a very good meal at a very reasonable price. There were several specials, and I had the chicken hibachi, with fried rice and vegetables. It came with a nice, not-too-spicy sauce for dipping the chicken, and it was a large enough serving that I could not possibly have asked for the desert menu, if there is one.
There is an extensive sushi menu which would certainly be worth a try based on my experience. A very good meal, and a real bargain at around $12.00 for lunch.

I used to get lunch at Quick Chic for 15 years while working in Folkston. I had not been there since 2007. The food is the same very tasty with a great choice of sides. I was shocked at how rude the little girl yak8ng my order was. She seemed to hate what she was doing. She never finished taking my order to see if I wanted something to drink. I had to ask her about it. When I got to the table, I realized she never have me any silverware. No thank you or smiles that I remember from the Mrs. Quick-Chic from years past. Looks like the son is running this family owned business today. Glad to see they have survived but they need to teach that little girl some good old Southern hospitality. She has a chip on her shoulder.

I am not usually a fan of buffet restaurants, but Brickhouse Restaurant made a convert out of me. There was a nice selection of well prepared southern favorites for supper, including chicken, fried fish, rice and "tomato gravy," fried okra, a small salad bar, and dessert. The waitstaff were friendly and quick to take away used plates and refill empty drinks. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for a quick snack while heading north through town. Nice clean facility with good parking. Food was good, just as you would expect.
