After spending the morning at Saint Anthony's Greek monastery, we were looking forward to having a traditional Greek lunch at Mount Athos. I actually questioned if we were eating at the same restaurant reviewed here, it was so disappointing. There were four of us: I ordered the small Greek salad, my husband had the Gyro, and two of us ordered the spanakopita entrée.
Other than the tasty dolmade, my salad was average and quite small. The Gyro had plenty of meat, but lacked the hearty flavor/seasoning typical of this lamb dish. As for the spanakopita "burritos", I question if they were house made, they appeared and tasted prepackaged. We had to send one dish back because it was barely warm, and at the $14.95 price, I sure thought it would be a much heartier meal.
ONE NOTE: on our way out, I looked at what other diners were eating. It seemed if you stayed away from the Greek items, it may have been a better and heartier meal. The tuna salad looked hearty and yummy.

We like a good cup of coffee and although one can argue that Starbucks is not the best, they are always the same superior quality where ever you go from Scotland to Japan, and from Washington DC to Florence Arizona. This one is what you expect of any Starbucks.

Great place! Try the bacon back which is a cheese crisp loaded with avocado, green chilies, tomatoes, and BACON. I had the carne asada which was amazing! Best place in Florence!

You walk up to the hostess and place your order which is brought to your table when it's ready. Choose from inside or outside seating; a view of the golf course or multiple TVs set on different sports events. Nicely presented dish, well seasoned, served hot by an attentive staff. A nice place for lunch, dinner, or evening cocktails at the bar.

Valentino's Eatery is a casual, family oriented restaurant offering a full bar with fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. Indoor & outdoor dining available. Reservations are recommended.

The mission of Valentino's Eatery:
The food and drink that is served at Valentino's Eatery will meet the highest standards of quality, freshness and seasonality and combines both modern-creative and traditional Italian styles of cooking. To consistently provide our customers with impeccable service by demonstrating warmth, graciousness, efficiency, knowledge, professionalism and integrity in our work. To have every customer who comes through our doors leave impressed by Valentino's Eatery and excited to return again.

The background of the Valentino name:
Rob's wife, Jennifer Valentino Barker, is where the Valentino name comes from. Jennifer's great grandfather Pasquale Valentino was born on August 13, 1885 in Molise, Italy. He arrived in the United States in 1900 at the age of 15. He married Maria Carmela Braco at the age of 19 and their son, Joseph Pasquale Valentino was born on November 25, 1905 in New York, Jennifer's paternal grandfather. Jennifer never had the chance to meet & know her paternal grandfather as he passed in April 1955, however his life & love for family continued then and still continues on as the years have passed with his wife, Assunta "Susie" Festa Valentino, five children, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren. He along with Jennifer's grandmother, Susie, would both be very proud and humbled today to know that a fine Italian restaurant has now been named Valentino's, as Grandpa Valentino always loved getting together with his family, eating good Italian food, with great conversation & lots of laughs! This is exactly what Valentino's Eatery is all about....Bringing family & friends together over a good Italian meal with great conversation & laughter. So come see us at Valentino's Eatery as you will be very satisfied! Buon Appetito!
Portions are good. I had the Italian beef sandwich and coleslaw. Took half of it home. Rob was wonderful about accommodating our large group. Service was ok.. but that might have been because we were a large group, although the waitress' were very friendly.

Went for breakfast. Food was good and you can get the third egg free with breakfast just ask as the menu says. Quarters are a bit tight in the front seating area. Takes a long time to pay when you go to leave. Grrrrrr!!!

I don't think AZ is known for its pizza but this pizza could compete with any served in NYC! The subs are also terrific. We usually order for pick up but eating in is also great with pleasant table service. Wonderful pizza in the dessert to please even us transplanted East Coast city people!

Simple roadside pub beloved by bikers and locals. The motorcycles and clientele are more interesting than the venue. Nice outside patio area that has been upgraded with concrete paving and new tables. Staff are friendly and hardworking and busy. Usually the burgers are pretty good but we decided to try something else on the menu. Bad decision. We shared a Patty Melt that sounded delicious on the menu ... juicy beef patty smothered in grilled onions and cheese on marbled rye... unfortunately the sandwich was small and dry with little in the way of filling. The onion rings were also right out of a (Costco?) frozen food bag. Hey the beer was cold though so we’ll probably be back.

Conveniently located across from the Florence Police station, this is a good stopping place from a morning coffee and a fresh, house made donuts. Get there early for the best selection, as the favorites sell out. I have not been there for a lunch salad, so I have no opinion.
