This is a restaurant I keep returning to, it does all the usual Portuguese dishes well and some very indeed. My mothers' favourite is the Lamb chops, I find it harder to choose between Tuna steak, Pork with mushroom sauce, Chicken kebab Piri-Piri and steak with pepper sauce, they're all equally good. For dessert it has to be Apple pie if you've got any room left. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is easy going, it's no wonder I keep returning.
I'd advise arriving early or making a reservation as it can get busy at times.

Situated in an idyllic position right over the beach . A window seat has fantastic views of the beach and sea.
Food is served by attentative waiters ,the fresh fish is cooked to perfection with many options for the discerning visitors.
It is essential to book early in order to get a table . Parking can be difficult. There is a car park but if you want to park close to the restaurant I suggest an early booking . This is one of the best restaurants on the Algarve comes highly reccomended

Le Paradis restaurant is a 30th year well know restaurant in the area, serving specially grilled meat and fish. We provide a private parking place and a playing ground for children.
Introduced visiting family to Le Paradis as one of our favourite local restaurants. We enjoyed a lovely meal of fresh fish and meat. Would particularly recommend sampling their marinated pork kebabs, lamb cutlets and any of the fresh fish which is all expertly cooked on the open barbeque.

Charming eatery run by ‘Portuguese English’ couple. Second time here, and did not disappoint. The most fabulous steak, being local meat, with salad and the usual. Lovely wine on offer, finished off with an awesome fig, almond and chocolate tart (all locally sourced). For three of us, two bottles of wine, bottled water etc so reasonable at €35 ph given exceptional quality. Easily my favourite whilst here, and will be back!

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this beautiful restaurant in the heart of Ferragudo. Popular year round 1~2~3 lunch special at 8,50, 10,00 and 11.50 Euros, served 12.00 To 15.00 Hours. Dinner menu served from 17.30 Until 22.30 In peak season (hours and days vary in November, December and January)
We had a delicious lunch from the set price menu which was excellent value.
The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful - lady (who I think was the owner) assisted in getting our table positioned so I could get in, despite having had surgery on her hand - thank you so much.
It was lovely to chat about our son being at the same uni as yours.
We look forward to returning next year.

A Ria is situated in Ferragudo along the quay side before the local market off the main square. Ferragudo is one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Portugal. A Ria is a small restaurant which compliment Ferragudo specializing in local Algarvean cuisine such as Cataplana & Monk fish rice, cuttlefish and clams is the specialty of the house. Your visit to Ferragudo and A Ria would not be complete with out tasting fresh fish grilled across the road, served with potatoes and salad but will be happy to provide home made chips and fresh vegetable if preferred. The menu caters for everyone with some excellent steak options and a small children's menu. A Ria prepares all the dishes at the time of order ensuring each dish is fresh NB.this can cause some delays in the height of the summer when the restaurant is full, you can take this time to relax and enjoy a drink or a bottle of good quality Portuguese wine. WiFi is now available. A Ria is currently closed on Mondays. To guarantee your table Reservations are excepted.
Had a fabulous meal of Scorpion fish which was recommended by the Manager. Brought the fish to the table and then came back and let us know how much it would cost - 42 euros for the two of us with potatoes and vegetables. It was then prepared and cooked on the b-b-q at the quayside, which I can honestly say was delicious. Staff were great and it was a very enjoyable evening. Book ahead as it does get busy.

Stayed in Ferragudo for 5 days with my girlfriend and luckily this restaurant was very close to our hotel. After Reading the brilliant reviews we decided to try it and safe to say, we were certainly NOT disappointed!
The food was absolutely delicious, nice varied menu (excellent variety of different meats and fish), very good portions and very fair prices.
We enjoyed the food so much we actually dined here 3 times. Honestly the food was fantastic. Do make sure you try it out!
It was hands down the best restaurant we dined in during our holiday and we travelled and ate in lots of restaurants in different towns, from Ferragudo to Lagos, Silves and Portimao. This restaurant had the best food hands down!
The restaurant (at least in November/off-season) is open from 17:30 so only open for dinner service and is closed on Sundays. Not sure if this is the case during peak-season in the summer months.
The restaurant is very popular with both locals and tourists. It gets quite busy, even in November where there aren’t as many tourists, so make sure you reserve a table just in case! All the staff speak good English so calling to reserve a table wont be a problem if you don’t speak Portuguese.
Lastly, all of the staff were extremely friendly and warm and were quite happy to answer any questions about the food and how it’s prepared etc.. There was one lady in particular who was very, very friendly and always checked on us, especially my girlfriend, to make sure we were ok and happy with everything. Unfortunately we didn’t get her name, but she was fantastic.
I myself am Portuguese so I know the cuisine very well despite growing up in London. And I can tell you this is among the best example of Portuguese food you can try. Truly authentic, rich dishes. From starters through to dessert, it was all fantastic.
I would personally recommend the Mackerel for starters - it’s seasoned really well. For the mains we really enjoyed the Portuguese Steak, the Pork steaks, the Chicken, the Lamb and the Squid. For dessert we loved the Chocolate Mouse and the Almond cake. Oh and the Sangria is lovely too!
Will 1000% visit again when we next come to Algarve, even if we’re not staying in Ferragudo!
Obrigado!
- Hugo.

Italia Restaurant, located in the centre of the piazza of Ferragudo, a pearl of the Algarve right in front of the Atlantic ocean. Our History The managers Enza and Raffaele have not been in Portugal for long but they have been successful restaurateurs for more than 25 years in Italy, and now they have undertaken the challenge of bringing the true Italian flavours to Portugal with enthusiasm and professionalism. The kitchen is formed of a completely Italian team, quite unique in Portugal, that give their best every day creating authentically traditional flavours with meat and fish, and of course pasta, spaghetti, penne, gnocchi, tagliatelle, ravioli etc., with a whole range of home-made egg pasta made with imported and accurately selected flours, cooked al dente according to the Italian tradition: a real, unique treat. And our tasty pizzas: more than 30 specialities made with 100% Italian flours, slow-rising and therefore highly digestible.
We went here a couple of times for Pizza. Both times the food & service were very good. It's very pleasant sitting in the square where the restaurant is situated. Would visit again.

On the road entering Ferragudo from Portimao,Tasca David has been taken over by Dipti and her team. We serve delicious Home made Indian curries and Tandoori dishes in an intimate candle lit atmosphere. Drop in and Join us for a drink in the snug bar and/or have a meal with and enjoy a unique experience.
We went to this restaurant in late november. Good job we had booked because the restaurant got full in the time we were there. Best food we have had in feeragudo. The mix grill was just amaizing. the prawn masala was devine and the naans were light and fluffy. The vegetarian option was cery good. We enjoyed so much so that we are booked in for New Years Eve. Price is reasonable and the quality is second to none. Booking advisable. Highly recommended.

We went as a family, the service was slow/relaxed, food took nearly 50mins to come and this was a bit frustrating as we were all hungry, however when it came the ribeye steak was amazing, it was cooked to perfection and well presented. If you're looking for really nice food and very relaxed atmosphere, you can't go wrong with O Canto, it's advisable to book a table.
