One of 7 dining options at the Silver Reef Casino
Sure, the name says it all . . . Silver Reef Casino Steak House ~~
Those familiar with Vegas wouldn't even blink at this . . .
I had heard how truly fabulous and well-rated The Steak House is, so decided
several weeks ago to check it out.
Reserved via OpenTable, responded to their apres dining request with a long and glowing review.
Not sure why they didn't publish, possibly because extreme distance to rest rooms was noted; not in the restaurant, or even nearby.
Nevermind,
mentioned again, because older TripAdvisor readers and mobility challenged patrons need to know about such access as well as food and service.
The Steak House excelled last evening; my 2nd occasion here. Greeted promptly and with genuine welcome, seated where requested, and immediately helped by Rachel, who served throughout the evening.
Tableside Belvedere Vodka martinis were beyond smooth and generous;
three olives, please!
Though not a fan of Caesar Salad, reluctantly agreed to share one as a starter.
To say it was beyond superb is understatement. The combination of seasonings, together with really crisp FRESH lettuce, was truly succulent, and the perfect lead
to a magnificent slab of prime rib.
The topper was, once again, Cherries Jubilee @ table side, for dessert.
Uhh huhhhh !! Perfection.
And yes, all the food ranked right up there with the best ever, though even more enjoyable is the personal and professional style of a server who genuinely cares, and makes guests feel wonderfully comfortable and at home.
As for parking, there are acres of free available, as well as valet, if you wish or
need it.
And yes, you must traverse, through a veil of smoke, the miles of dinging and clinking gambling machines to access the quiet little corner where The Steak House resides.
That it is small, gently lighted and intimate is part of the charm . . .
you could be slipping into a hidden Chicago gem in the 1930s.
The type of decor and evocative style that invites putting on an emotional costume of blatant enjoyment~~!!
In truth? I never would have believed that a casino venue would capture my imagination and fancy so thoroughly . . .
such an inviting surprise in a world where crowded, slick, fast and noisy all too often prevail ?? !!
Well worth the trip as a 'destination' . . .
We enjoyed a small 'flutter' at the machines later and lost . . . oh well . . . dinner settled wonderfully ~~!!

I really enjoy Woods over other chain coffee house. Very comfortable seating, this location has a second floor. I will make this my pre and post border stop going forward.
They have great snacks and very tasty coffee. I find the flavor of their beans to be better than others.

Edaleen's ice cream cones and milk shakes (especially the vanilla shake with fresh strawberries!) are simply excellent. Period. Even at perceived slower times on an overcast day we waited a few minutes inline for our turn. Wonderful ice cream selections and products along with other sandwiches and food available.

The Barista is a handy addition to the Casino open 24 hours per day. Quite often a brief line up can be experienced but anywhere up to 3 to 4 barista servers are there to take your order for caffeine, pastry and/or sandwich.

Delicious food and super friendly staff. Visited on May 24, 2012. Listed on Urban Spoon.
The service is always respectful and friendly. The servings are ample, the food is excellent and the restaurant is nicely decorated to feel like home. I like the lunch combos, my personal preference is the curry but the fresh rolls are a close second.

Gave this place a try based on the high rating here but can only give it an average, and that is entirely due to the food as the restaurant itself would rate a terrible..... We were somewhat put off right away as we were there at lunch time and the place was quite dark and looked dingy, really, really worn and rundown. Had I not read the reviews here, I would have left rather than taken a seat. Hubby ordered the patty melt and it was huge and had good taste but was far more than he could eat - with onion rings which were good and not even remotely greasy. I had the special which was a flat iron steak sandwich with mushrooms, caramelized onions, and tomato on a hoagie roll. It was surprisingly very good with the steak nicely cooked. Service was pleasant and fast. Bottom line, the food and service were decent, we just were not comfortable with the place at all and when we left, looked at each other and both said "it was okay, but let's never come back".......

Because I go there all the time, those who know me, know exactly what I wanted, They are excellent, very warm. A few who are not there a lot, are sorta of indifferent. One of them was not very nice. When I don't see the regulars, I skip coffee.

Smiles, friendly, fair prices, great service, and really good coffee and shakes. Oh, dont forget to try one of their breakfast burritos or cinnamon buns from Avellinos Bakery in Bellingham.

Comfy & friendly atmosphere. If you can't make up your mind #1~Everything has been excellent so far. #2 The "Drunken Nachos are the BEST! All portions are huge. The nachos are enough to fill 2 people but get it for yourself because midnight drunken nachos "rock"! Enjoy

Our daughter took us to this excellent restaurant. Excellent food, generous portions, and friendly service. As we sat down, chips and salsa were brought to our table. We came at lunch time and had our choice of seating area. They have a at least three separate areas and also a patio to choose from.
The taco salad was ordered with choice of beans to substitute for meat. Everything was fresh and tasty. I loved he Chile raino and cheese enchilada.
We will return the next time we are in Ferndale!
