We needed to stop and rest after doing the Hogsback. I remember reading about this place and as soon as we saw the sign we pulled over. Fortunately it was still open at 2pm. It surpassed my expectations. What an amazing location and view....that alone gives it 5 stars. It's also a really neat place, the coffee is very good, the people were nice and the quesadilla we had was a very tasty (and much needed) late afternoon snack. We'll be back someday.

Not as good as I was hoping given the positive reviews, Easter Monday, many staff there which surprised me for a holiday, we ordered pizza, nothing special at all, although Tabitha (very hyper person) our server raved about it, very nice building, great outfitter merchandise, prices were very high, $29 for a T-shirt is ridiculous, coffee was good

We picked up a few items for our stay and everything was fresh and delirious. The owner is super nice! They have items to take and eat and I am sure they would be wonderful but we were looking for items to take and cook. After shopping at the only other grocery store in town we were very happy we stopped here to find good quality food.

The Coffee Garden proudly serves organic, fair trade espresso drinks- hot or cold, as well as a selection of teas and cold drinks. Hang out and enjoy the view from our patio and native gardens. The Coffee Garden is the perfect spot to plan the day over a cappuccino or cool off after a hike with an iced latte.
If you like espresso coffee this is the place. You'll probably have to get your pastry across the street at the Mercantile Deli or the Outfitters; but don't let that hold you back and you will get the best fresh ground coffee beans in town. Closed Tuesdays.

The Circle D Eatery and the adjacent Circle D Motel is independently owned and operated. We offer casual dining of American cuisine. You can comfortably dine inside, in our covered patio, or on the outside patio. We are well known for our ribs, brisket, and chicken which are smoked on premise. Our beef is from Flying V ranch - a local rancher - who raises range fed cows in the Escalante area. We also have available several vegetarian offerings. Beer and wine are also available.
There was such a wait to be seated and it wasn't handled well with little communication. Many people left without knowing how long the wait was. Everyone there seemed overworked and a little stressed. The Caesar salad was great, although it only had lettuce, croutons, and chicken. The Kobe burger was way too expensive to have as much filler as it did.

Got their address off of yelp:http://www.yelp.com/biz/nemos-drive-thru-escalantePretty good fast food
We couldn't have been luckier than finding Nemo's. Just a simple roadside stand with outdoor seating at picnic tables and wonderful cheeseburgers. The bison burger and fries were very good. Malts and milkshakes huge and absolutely wonderful. Don't drive by - stop here!

We stopped by for evening dinner. It was great! We had the specialty Mexican pizza in honor of Cinco De Mayo. The garlic-cheese breadsticks and a delicious cookie and ice-cream desert! Everything was perfect, great service, friendly people, great food and a fabulous view from our outdoor table.
The brick oven pizza was great! I would go back again for it.

My wife and I ate at Coyote Blues on two evenings. On both evenings our meals (Trout, Huge stuffed pork-beef burrito, and delicious burger with toppings) were well prepared and very tasty. In addition, this restaurant serves generous margaritas (best in Escalante). The servers took care of all of our needs and made the chef aware of my wife's food allergies. All of the staff that we met in this restaurant were very nice and friendly. Adorning the walls, is very nice artwork and photography of the area and has a cowboy theme. This was the best restaurant that we visited while in Escalante. If I were to return to this area, I would make another visit and will recommend this restaurant to any of my friends who come to Escalante.

Fantastic ice cream (choices) between two home made waffle cookies - wow - an unexpected treat. Family recipe on the cookies.

We had the pleasure of eating a lunch catered by Wild West Retreat while on a tour of Utah parks. It was the best meal we had on the 11 day trip. They really know what they are doing. Everything was ready to go when our bus of 40 arrived. We felt so welcomed, and the food was so good - tender, juicy pulled pork sandwiches, dutch oven potatoes that were scrumptious, the best baked beans ever, salad, lemonade, and a brownie sundae for dessert that was so good. It was the best!!
