number 1 posted indian resteraunt in area (on trip advisor)
not for us . start with the BEST FEATURE.
The staff are the best feature of the cinnamon and thats the only, 1st rating it gets from us. Our food was good except 1 side dish which was sent back . it was changed for a nann instead which was over burnt .
if your a couple going for a nice indian meal with a little ambiance and relaxation dont bother, due to the placing of tables which are far to close together , fine if its 5-10£ a head cafe ,not for a 45-50 £ a couple . You could reach over to try other tables food or worst still throughout the meal have to here there conversations from the sides and behind you and they hear yours as well.
At the better resteraunts you get a hotplate to keep the food at good temperature , sadly cinnamon dont, which ends up cold or tepid for the final part of your main meal.
This is normally done for a quicker TABLE turnover . I dont want to pile it all on my plate in one go, as if i am in a rush.
There are better ind resteraunts within a 6 mile radius and no more expensive.

I have tried all the Indian restaurants and takeaways in Epping. Zaikaa is by far the best. The service is very good both in the restaurant and for Delivery. The food is always of a high standard.

I have always been wary of a restaurant that does not have an identifiable cuisine and have always been disappointed when going to a restaurant specialising in a particular cuisine that goes off piste with an alternative option. RB is a restaurant with no identifiable cuisine and the menu is global. The only reason for finally visiting was the recommendation of an acquaintance. Unfortunately my worst fears were confirmed. Dishes described as "tempura" were in fact deep fried in bread crumbs and certainly not chef created but most likely mass produced out of a catering pack. Avoid the noodles dishes at all costs, truly dreadful. The wine reasonably price but not an extensive wine list and all the food options way over priced for exceptionally mediocre offerings. A one and only visit and went home for some delicious home cooked toast!!!!!

Wonderful Pan Asian cuisine open to the public, in a beautiful setting on the edge of Epping forest. West End quality at affordable prices. We will return again & again.
Six of went along last weekend and were really impressed. This smallish restaurant attached to the golf club has a really relaxed feel. Had a pre-meal drink at the bar and sat down to a delicious meal. Large menu at reasonable prices and good servce. Modern Asian cuisine nicely cooked and presented. Advisable to book.

The Theydon Balti was recommended to us and I have to say it was a very worth while visit.
The food was piping hot and well flavoured. The naan was freshly cooked to perfection and the mushroom bhaji very juicy. The balti had lots of chicken and the portions were generous.
The service was very friendly if a tad slow, and we had to ask twice for a cup of coffee.
Overall it was the best Indian meal I have had out for some time and was good value as well.

A unique steakhouse experience: At Miller & Carter we know a thing or two about steak. In fact, we could say that we're one of the best steakhouses in Essex. But we'd rather leave that to your judgement. Because once you've tasted our hand-cut, 28-day aged British steaks you'll soon appreciate the care of our farmers, the exacting standards of our butchers and the passion of our chefs. Don't just take our word for it; book a table and decide for yourself. You'll find us at the heart of Epping Forest, near Theydon Bois golf club and High Beech and within easy access of the M25 J26. The best of British beef: Our premium-graded British beef is reared on carefully selected, sustainable farms. So whichever your favourite cut, we can trace every forkful back to the field. Looking foward to seeing you there Chris and the Epping Team
This restaurant used to be one of my favourites for a very long time, especially for the fact that my son absolutely loves the children's menu. Sadly we had 2 very bad experiences in a row. About a month ago I've ordered the same meal...MoreThank you for your honesty, we really do appreciate this feedback, please could you give us call and discuss this feedback with us so we can improve from this, Many Thanks Team Epping

Traditional English Pub, serving Good Homemade food. The pub dates back over 500 years, is mentioned in dickens books. We have 6 real ale pumps. 2017 entry in both ' good pub guide' and 'the camra good beer guide' Live music throughout December, with an amazing festive menu. whether your looking for good food, real ales, lovely wines or just a welcoming smile, we will always try our hardest to make your visit a memorable one.
Last time I came here the food was lovely so I kept telling my partner he had to come with me. Unfortunately my return was not so good, we were left waiting at the door for longer than necessary even though we had a reservation and the tables were empty but that would have been forgive-able if the food wasn't such a disappointment.
Our Yorkshire puddings were burnt as were my partners potatoes, my salmon was half the size from the last time I came, the veg was different and instead just a load of shredded cabbage and the whole thing just lacking flavour and very underwhelming.
The waitresses were pleasant and apologetic and probably the only reason for the 3 stars. How sad!!! :(

Visited with friends and they were all impressed with the food. Very friendly service. Had the liver and bacon and was delicious as was my husbands lamb shank. Had the fish and chips on a previous visit and it was lovely. Highly recommended

My husband and I visited Indian Ocean on a Friday night, and they managed to find us a table without a reservation. It’s an upscale curry house in Theydon Bois, very close to the tube station. What a meal!
We started with poppadoms, which were accompanied by delicious sauces. For a main dish, I ordered the king prawns, which I am still thinking about today. They were divine. My husband ordered a suggested chicken dish, which was also tasty. The Bombay aloo and onion bhaji side dishes were also lovely. We can’t wait to return to Indian Ocean.
