We recently ate at Emilia's during our 10-day visit to Ireland. This was our last night in Ireland, and we were staying at the Mariott Powerscourt Hotel. We were not at all impressed with the dining options at the Powercourt after a bad experience at lunch, and elected to go into town. We selected Emilia's based on the TA reviews, although we were somewhat suspect based on several not favorable reviews regarding the service. Overall, our dining experience was very good on all fronts. The restaurant is right in the middle of town, easy to get to, and has a pleasant atmosphere. We dined early (6:15) and the restaurant only had a few other tables occupied when we arrived--but was nearly full by the time we left. Our service throughout the meal was excellent including several visits by the owner, and our food was promptly served. The food was very good--pasta was fresh and homemade--we had the special which was a pasta dish and the ravioli! Nice selection of wines to compliment the dinner. Overall, we were very pleased with Emilia's and would certainly return and recommend to others.

Traditional Irish Bar in the heart of Enniskerry village loved by locals & visitors alike. Our pub is the perfect place to experience true village life with a great atmosphere and personal service. Enjoy one of the finest pints of Guinness in Co Wicklow with live coverage of all major sporting events on our flat screen TV's.
Chicken wings with celery sticks and blue cheese dip. Arrived with 3 withered and floppy short celery things that were even too shagged to penetrate the dip. Sat at table outside which was filthy. Asked young waitress for a cloth to clean it. She was obliging and friendly enough to do it but astonishingly she wiped half the table down and asked if we wanted the other half done. Is this normal?
Paid 26 euro for two pints, chicken wings main and smallest portion of chips I have come across. Bad experience but I did note it was full inside and appears quite popular so we may have caught it on a bad day. Won't be back however.

Walked down from Powerscourt Hotel for a bit of the local and it turned out to be well worth the shoe leather and a welcome break from the hotel scene. Excellent and tasty choices for the budget conscious served by friendly and courtious staff. The overall ambiance is somewhat casual artsy and eclectic but comfortable. Our orders were brought to our table quickly and we never felt rushed. As a vegetarian I was delighted by the choices I had. My wife and I would return without a qualm.

Such superb raw materials inspire the best of our chefs. So at Sika Restaurant, you'll find well-loved classic dishes deliciously prepared and executed with a distinctively modern twist. The space is as appetising as the menu. Situated on the third floor of the hotel, Sika's dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass walls take full advantage of the pyramidal Sugar Loaf Mountain. While on the Terrace, al fresco dining is offered all year around under retractable awnings, comfortably warmed by braziers.
Had a lovely dinner in Sika during our 2 nights stay in the beautiful powerscourt hotel. Starter was fabulous would definitely recommend the crab meat risotto! Had the halibut for main which was lovely. My partner had the rib eye which was cooked to perfection however was slightly disappointed that it was not accompanied by more side dishes. Would certainly recommend!

Located on the lobby level of Powerscourt Hotel, our Sugar Loaf Lounge is perfect for meeting, greeting and watching the world go by. Serving traditional Afternoon Tea daily and cocktails each evening, the Lounge is a haven of hospitality, with an all-day menu of casual dining too. Furnished and appointed in a style of gracious Georgian living, there's a traditional warmth to the Sugar Loaf Lounge our guests often comment on. Of course, the spectacular scenery outside, framed by the vast curved windows offers a breathtaking counterpoint to the intimate welcome within. Here there's always something to talk about. Reservations for Afternoon Tea are recommended. We look forward to welcoming you.
The venue can become quite busy, particularly on Sunday. Great place for tea and a sweet or light dining.
Salads are flavourful (both salmon and chicken) with the chicken tender and moist.
Service is fantastic. Staff do a great job, in spite of being so busy, of keeping the level of service high.

This Irish pub is more than a name or an address: it embodies a spirit of friendly congeniality, a culture of conversation and story. McGill's manifests this magnificently, full of interesting artefacts and memorabilia, with a wonderful bar, made for elbows. As well as a fine selection of whiskeys, beers and stouts, McGill's offers a tasty menu of wholesome, traditional dishes, prepared and served with imagination and style.
The pub in the Hotel isn't great. Expensive but that's cos you're in a superb hotel. So you'd have thought the bar menu would at least be reasonable able. Big portions don't make it a good experience. If you're caught and not dining in Sika, head into Enniskerry for food. Or sit in the Sugarloaf lounge

Poppies has been open since 1982, We offer a comprehensive range of food from breakfast, scones and jam for mid-morning and a full range of main dishes served with either salad or baked jacket potato throughout the day. We also serve tasty home baked desserts and a selection of confectionery and beverages.
We had a good time in Poppies of Enniskerry whilst we were out for a walk in the Dublin/Wicklow area. What we noticed about our fellow clientele in Poppies is that they were fellow walkers or cyclists who were also taking a "pit stop " for a snack & a friendly chat. The service was efficient. The atmosphere is intimate and cosy. We enjoyed the soup of the day, along with tea for two and scones, which was all very tasty and fresh.
