This is without a doubt the best, the very best ice cream establishment anywhere! Be careful regarding the size of cone you order as a small is more than enough
Another highlight is they have different "Dole" ice creams on various days, all of them are fantastic. The place gets very busy as it is just the best anywhere. You can use a credit/debit card as long as the purchase is over $5.00 which is understandable. Just for your info!

I haven't been to dine, but I can say we normally sell fundraisers and such through them for cheer. BUT I cannot believe how I was just treated by Lynn Rockwell in the parking lot next to Bartons Bakery. Apparently that is her lot and she owns it and if you park there to pick up your flowers with a toddler in tow she will honk her life away at you. I made sure to pull out for her, not quick enough though. I told her it was very sweet of her to rush me so much especially since I was barely in my car when the honking at me began. And then she came to my car telling me it was her lot not Bartons and that she needed to get to work so I needed to move. Funny thing is there were definitely other spaces. Needless to say if an owner treats someone that way out in the public I can't see how they have great customer service in their own industry. Very disgusting with the amount of disrespect shown.

We moved from the area in 1979 and had eaten there often before we moved. Just visited last week and the food was as wonderful as ever. Must try the Monster cheese burger and onion rings.

This place has all the great typical ove cream treats you can think of. It is very good. It is always busy so they are obviously doing something right. The food & treats I've always got were great.

We stopped in for lunch yesterday and were impressed with the interior layout. We were greeted by our waitress very quickly with menu in hand. The menu has a great amount of options, as they say, from soup to nuts. Since we did not have hours to spend we went with the all American favorite, cheesburgers and fries. Our orders came and the food was very good. The service, food, and cool interior is great! The only fault for us was the portion sizes. The burgers were small, the larger order of fries was big enough for one, and $5.00 for two glasses of soda was a bit much. The cost of the lunch will not break our bank but when I write a review I compare the establishment to other's we have visited. Please understand that this is a great tavern but not really one that we will revisit. Our fav remains the Beach House in Finleyville, just a few miles away.

We loved the food and atmosphere here! It doesn’t look like much from your first impression on the outside but please don’t let that stop you. Reservations are recommended. It’s a small, cozy place. If you are in a rush.... go somewhere else but I think the service was perfect for this type of place! They want you to stay and enjoy your meal and wine, not get it down ya then get out so ENJOY IT!! We sure did!

I have a weakness for longstanding, family-run businesses and Woody's checks that box. Their food is always good, staff is attentive, but the food can seem overpriced for their portions. I do recommend their stuffed cabbage!

Tillie's is a Family Owned independent Italian Style Restaurant that has been serving Homemade Italian and American foods for over 55 Years. Pasta is Hand Made in house and is the Signature Food for most patrons. Our Homemade Spaghetti, Fettucini, Lasaga, Ravioli, and Gnocchi are our customer favorites. In addition we have wonderful Italian Entrees styles such as Parmigiana, Romano, Marsala, Piccata, Alfredo, and Milanese. Our Pizza is a thick crust style with infinite choice of toppings. Most favorite is the Meatball Pizza. Seafood Entrees such as Crab Cakes, Lobster and Crab Gnocchi, Salmon and Cod are also favorite choices. A New and Unique entrée is Pork Palena, our own special entrée. Our Codfather Fish sandwich is a crowd pleaser. It's Huge!! Prime Rib on Frday and Saturday. Homemade Soups. What more can we say??
While the City of McKeesport de-industrialized and collapsed around it, Tillie’s Restaurant has remained a local institution. For almost fifty-five years it’s been a traditional Italian-American red sauce restaurant. Its large menu can be customized. Pick a pasta. Pick a sauce. Add a meatball or two. The meat and seafood dishes are excellent, as are deep-fried, breaded pepper rings, and soups like Pittsburgh’s speciality, wedding soup. This cheerful family favorite can accommodate both large groups and single diners. Sit back and relax. The service can be slow.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends. Friday we had fish, pizza and smoked pork chops. Drinks and beer are very reasonable. Service was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly, batter dipped and cooked until crunchy. Mac and cheese is very good. Loaded fries are my favorite. Pizza is good. No room for dessert.

Seven of us had dinner on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was crowded but Mr. Driscoll quickly accommodated our party. All of the food was delicious. We loved the cheddar cheese soup. Others in my party had shrimp, Shepard’s Pie, chicken parmigiana and steak. The desserts were as delicious as they loooked. The atmosphere is great too. I can’t wait to go back!
