We ate here one evening, table overlooking the sea, lovely mild evening. Staff were pleasant but service a little haphazard. We decided to go for the steak in pepper sauce which was tasty and plentiful. Wines at reasonable prices. A two course meal with wine for two came to 70 euros. Very relaxing, nice atmosphere , good food served in a lovely location

Visited here with friends and as a group of English people we tried our best to order in Spanish. We ordered patatas bravas, patatas alieoli and mussels. We were told they had no mussels left and no patatas bravas.
What we were brought were potatoes in a Mary rose/thousand island/burger sauce which was rather insulting, assuming we wouldn't know any better. Meatballs were also pretty naff.
Prawns and the cod were amazing though.

Had a long leisurely lunch here. We had mixed paella for 6 people. Which was delicious. Staff were great, house wine excellent

What a great find! Located right in the main square looking over the estuary, this restaurant in El Rompido's main square is family-run by 3 sisters who offer super food and a genuinely warm welcome.
We ate here twice with our two young children whilst on holiday, enjoying superb tapas and meals including Huelva prawns, Andalucian cold soup, Spanish peppers, home-made meatballs and potato croquettes amongst other lovely dishes, all washed down by good value local wine.
Very reasonably priced, an extensive menu, friendly attentive service and a great location. What more can you ask for?!

We were 8 (elderly) male golfers who came down to Rompido after morning golf for lunch. Having found del palo we stuck with it three (two of our group four) times. Friendly service although not everything came together but maybe that was in the translation. Family run with a couple of english speaking waiters who had worked in Canada and (elsewhere?).
Very obliging and prices reasonable with fresh fish, large salads and home cut chips. Coffee could have been warmer but a good selection of wines nicely presented. No need to look for anywhere else!

This is a must if you wish to try authentic Spanish cuisine wonderfully prepared and presented. The restaurant is located in the idyllic port of El Rompido and we sat under the vines that had been cultivated as a veranda. Highly recommend.

Lovely location, friendly staff. Not much English spoken but not a problem. We all enjoyed our meal here but very few non-fish options. Nice to eat later in the evening after a couple of pre-dinner drinks at the nearby cafe bars.
Not bad value and good fresh produce, this was one of the busier restaurants even in low season.

Bustling casual restaurant right by the beach. Traditional Spanish food- fairly basic and a little difficult to get a waiters attention but overall a nice experience. Location is great overlooking the inlet and just if the traditional square.

The perfect evening begins at Luz de Mar. The perfect evening is to provide for all the good that has happened to us and forget for a moment the ' not so good ' . Improvising in time, live in the moment ...enjoy! An ideal meeting overlooking the sea, surrounded by good friends and cocktails until dawn. Every night has a perfect start ... what better than in Luz de Mar? We will wait for you!!
Popped in for an alcoholic beverage on a Saturday night, was quite surprised to find it very quiet. I assume it's due to it being the start of the tourist season.
Drinks reasonably priced, and the service was lovely.
The men behind the bar even helped us ring our taxi to get her to the right location.

The staff definitely look after you here. I have never seen gin and tonics in such large glasses, they were the size of fish bowls!! What is amazing about this place is the great views you have looking out over the estuary and surrounding land and seeing the sunset. It adds to the peaceful feeling you get and the ambience whispers fun and tranquillity.
