Thai food restaurant
Hadn't eaten in here for a while. Stopped by with a co-worker/friend for dinner on a weeknight. Plenty of seats available. I ordered the bikini shrimp and chicken kad prow, friend had the satay and the shrimp pad thai. 5 Shimp were wrapped in a thin wonton skin & fried super crisp, served with tempura style green beans and a killer dipping sauce. Satay (chicken) grilled perfectly with a peanut sauce and a sweet spicy vinegar sauce. Friend raved about the pad thai. My dish was chocked full of tender white meat chicken, with tons of mixed fresh vegetables in a light spicy sauce. Total bill, with tax was only $37. You get good size portions of top quality Thai food at a more than reasonable price. Lunch portions are a little smaller for the entrees but also less money! Don't let the location fool you. They are worth the trip,

It was a great experience working with the staff at Killarney’s to reserve a table for 18 of us to celebrate my Dad’s 75th birthday. Our table was ready early and the server was very attentive. The Sunday brunch had a salad table, breakfast choices, Irish fare, (the Shepard’s pie was my favorite) along with prime rib, custom omelets and numerous desserts for only $15 per person.

I’ve ate crabs here for several years. Mike’s never disappoints with the food or service. The waitress was very attentive. There is also karaoke on Fridays at 9 p.m. The atmosphere is great for families or couples. There were several families with children celebrating birthdays.

Good choice of flavors and service. I would recommend to anyone wanting a yogurt. Location can be a bit difficult to get to because of the divided highway but that's why U-Turns are legal here in Maryland.

We love their imaginative pizzas and combinations, including butternut squash with goat cheese and prosciutto. Great fresh salads to start and excellent wine choices, including a $5/glass (during lunch?) Be ready for a wait or better yet go very early- as soon as they open -or late, at the end of the night.

We were having a reunion and needed some cupcakes. The organizer wanted something local so I suggested Cakes by Rachael. Everything was seamless. The food was ready when it needed to be, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating and they even threw in some extra 4th of July decorated cupcakes for free. The desserts were tender, flavorful, and everyone enjoyed these special treats.

I've been waiting for years to visit this place. When visiting Baltimore in the past, I always went to G&M and loved it. (I've heard that since the kids took over from the parents that it's gone downhill but I haven't experienced that first hand.) But a friend of mine from the area said that the absolute best crab cakes were at the Edgewater Restaurant. This was about 10 years ago. I never had the opportunity to try it out until yesterday. We're visiting my son in this area and I asked that we give this place a try. I'm so glad we did!
It's not overly fancy which is fine. It has a bar and several separate dining areas. The menu has quite a few selections. Most are seafood but there are some non-seafood options as well.
The three of us decided to get an order of two crab cakes and a seafood platter and split it. It came with four sides so we got the fried okra, green beans, a twice-baked potato and a trip to the salad bar. We let my wife take the trip to the salad bar since we didn't want anything to fill us up but seafood. However, they brought us a cheese spread to have with the basket of crackers on the table and we couldn't resist that.
But when our order came, we forgot all about the crackers and the cheese. The crab cakes were delicious. Huge with enormous lumps of crab and just barely enough filler to hold the crab together. I ate one and my wife and son split one. We got the seafood platter fried (broiled was the other option). It had shrimp, clams, a crab stuffed shrimp, scallops and a couple of crab balls. (Insert joke here.) All was good. We loved the shrimp and the clams. I'm not a big scallop fan but I thought these were ok and my wife and son liked them. The crab balls were excellent and the crab stuffed shrimp was good. If I had it to do over again, I think I'd get the crab cakes, crab balls and clams. They were what stood out. The shrimp and scallops were good but nothing exceptional. As far as the sides, the okra was ok, the twice-baked potato was dry and tasteless but the green beans were outstanding. I'm not sure what they put on them but they were tender and tasty. Oh, and my wife had a martini and she said it was made well and she enjoyed it a lot.
We all ate too much but it was so good. Our waiter, Dan, was so nice and attentive. We felt like they really appreciated us being there. If and when I come back to the area, I will return to the Edgewater. I hope it's not another 10 years before I have a chance to go there for the second time.

We have taken our son, daughter-in-law, and young grand-daughter here several times and always enjoyed it thoroughly. The tapas are many and varied, and always delicious. We always order several and share them. Entrees are equally delicious, and perfectly cooked. Do make reservations, as they get quite busy!

Had a great meal with drinks here. I do not know why I have not been here in a while. The have good food, great drinks, friendly service and fantastic views of the South River!
The bartender made me feel like I was a regular with a pleasant attitude and made me a really good mint julep.
Had a great piece of fish which was very fresh and delicious, nothing fancy just really good, while overlooking a great view of boaters on the South River.
All this at reasonable prices.
I can guarantee you that I will be back!

Old Stein serves a wide variety of German dishes that are a fun break from burgers, tacos and pizza that seem to populate our lives. There are many German dishes including brats, potato pancakes with applesauce (my favorite), spaetzle, warm pretzels, and main dishes featuring German fare.
