Eclectic, locally owned restaurant, featuring a unique menu with options for vegans to carnivores.
We stopped here for dessert. Interesting decor. Irish coffee is very good and the cheese cake is as good as it gets. Will have to try this place for a meal sometime.

When in East Peoria, Illinois, you just gotta try one of Carl's famous tenderloins, they are hand pounded, breaded and fried and one is big enough to fill four buns add onions pickle ketchup & mustard and you have a wonderful sandwich. They also have the best donuts around and their cinnamon twists are the best I've ever eaten. I won't say if, I'll say When you go, go early as they close at1:30 pm. They also have great daily specials and their breads are the best...

Family-owned restaurant serving artisanal barbecue. Large selection of craft beer and whisky. NO RESERVATIONS. NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGE GROUPS. CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
PROS: close to the main attractions at the riverfront; excellent tasting food- we had the smoked then fried chicken wings and half a rack of ribs- excellent! fast service . located inside an old train station so it's unique.
CONS:none. just know the portions are big so you can probably split one order and just order more if needed.

It was the first time there for my boyfriend and I. The atmosphere is amazing, we had a table in the back, looking out over the river. The waiter was very nice, prompt and courteous. We had many questions regarding the menu and he was able to answer them all. We ordered the fried oysters which were very good, as we didn't know what to expect. For our main course, my boyfriend had the special, swordfish, au gratin potatoes and asparagus. I got the Florida grouper, baked potato and asparagus. Food was presented well, flavorful and we would definitely order those items again. We look forward to going back in the future.

Sugar has expanded out onto the sidewalk and even in cold weather there is more seating available. This allows more patrons to enjoy the best gourmet pizza in town. They have a good beer selection and tasty sandwiches and wraps as well. We dropped in on a Saturday at 6 p.m. and were out by 6:45 with happy stomachs and taste buds.

My wife and I visited Granite City for Sunday Brunch, and we are so glad that we did! While the restaurant was very busy, they were able to get us in quickly, the waitstaff was extremely friendly and quick, and the buffet was wonderful. I would say this is one of my favorite breakfast locations in town, and I would highly recommend it!

My family along with families that make up our softball team had dinner tonight. It's a dive and we loved it. The atmosphere is addictive, the drinks are cold and the food is well, AMAZING. We ate a little of everything but the St Patrick Day burger is seriously one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Get out of your normal routine and get in the barge. You won't regret it. Have fun.

I have been to this restaurant many times. I have trouble walking great distances. The last time I was there we had an excellant waiter. He said just knock on the lower door to the left of entrance and someone would open it. I knocked seberal times...nothing. I ramp up to the restsurant seems like a mile long going up and steep going down. I was worn out before ever getting inside the restsurant. Are family has three birthdays within 3 days of each other so we celebrate all together on the closest Sunday. We had 21 people in our group. I was told we could not het the discounted meal because it was not exactly on our Birthdays. Bringing 21 people to the restaurant you think they might bend the rule a bit. NOPE. Next year we go somewhere else with our 21 plus party. It took forever to get our steaks. There was alot of fat on meat. The bread was burnt. I was never asked to have a refill. The salad bar was very good. The waitress was not. I will not go back.
