Whether you're planning a quiet celebration for 20 people or a lavish party for 225, Irish Coffee Pub, featuring the Waterford Room, is the perfect setting. We are located between New York City and the storied Hamptons, on the south shore of Long Island. At Irish Coffee Pub, you and your guests will enjoy a warm, intimate atmosphere that invites a great time.
Since grown kids had other plans w inlaws on Thanksgiving, my hubby and I decided to have a stress free Thanksgiving dinner @ our fave go to restaurant The Irish Coffee Pub. Must say it was a delicious Traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The Turkey was good, and it came with the standard Thanksgiving sides. Stuffing, gravy, candied yams (which were not too sweet ..no gooey marshmallows here, thank goodness!) A flavorful cranberry relish and homestyle mashed potatoes, with fresh veggies. Large portions ..really enough for me to take home half of my meal, which I did. Everything tastes like homemade. My husband (not fond of turkey) had their delicious filet mignon wrapped in bacon. Everything cooked to perfection, as usual. We never have any complaints . All in all it is always an enjoyable and delicious dining experience at the pub...that is why it has been our favorite go to restaurant for special occassions. Have also dined there on Christmas Eve several times (very nice ) as well as birthdays or just to treat ourselves to a great dinner. It is a real treat for me when I don't have to cook and still have a great meal. In my opinion, much better than Tellers restaurant which I find to be highly overrated & too expensive. We ate there one previous Thanksgiving .Without going into details I will just say that it was an unpleasant dining experience..we will never dine there again! Overall I highly recommend The IRISH COFFEE PUB for a SUPERB dining experience always serving DELICIOUS food and always giving their customers friendly courteous service. Without hesitation, for our family, this restaurant has always been.... A 5 star rating (Love it there!)

Stanley's Bakery on Main Street in East Islip has the best baked goods. They make everything in house and it makes a difference. The quality cannot be beat. The variety is enormous. So delicious!! Italian and French breads are sold out quickly, they are so popular and fresh. The lines to purchase items go out the door. But don't let that stop you from jumping on the line. There are many young ladies behind the counter and they are super efficient. I can't say enough positive things about Stanleys. All items are baked fresh daily. At the end of each day all the unsold goods are donated to various community food banks for the needy. Thumbs up to a great community bakery!

I made reservations for a nice dinner out here, 2 weeks in advance, on high recommendation from a few people. I was expecting top level service and dining, but that simply was not the case. Appetizer was just ok. The entrees were very good. My wife enjoyed her scallops, and I my steak. It wasn't bad by any means but didn't impress me either. Dessert was pretty good. The biggest problem I had was our server. She couldn't have done any less. A smile would have been nice. Make me feel like I'm not just an annoyance just for showing up. Not that we made any special requests or even asked her a question, but nonetheless, not a good feeling from her. Maybe I expected too much, but I was told the experience here was exceptional. It wasn't. I can't say I'd care if I ever went back. The valet in the parking lot was the friendliest person we encountered.

We visited this restaurant last year and I said I would not go back. The manager had reached out to me last year after my review had posted and I appreciated that call. My husband and I decided to give it another try. This experience was so much better than the last time. Service was great. Steak came out cooked the right way and was very good. We went on a night that they have the 3 course fixed price dinner otherwise prices are a high.

Tellers is not just a Chophouse. It’s an institution. Born out of an old bank, Tellers delights visually with the original Mosler Vault serving as our wine vault at the heart of Tellers and a dining room set inside sky-high ceilings and 30 foot vertical windows. Our Chef constructs progressive takes on the classics, but let’s the traditional Chophouse fare take center stage, with USDA PRIME, 21-day dry aged beef as our cornerstone. The Gold Bar pays homage to classic bars of years past. Enjoy lunch in Prime’s dining room, our fireplace lounge or at our bar. Host your event or celebrate your special occasion in the timelessness that is Tellers: An American Chophouse.

I have been a huge fan of Tellers since the day it opened. I moved and have not been there in a year, but went for a holiday business dinner last night. It was not as good as it has been in the past.
Table for 12, we had one extra and they needed 30 min to reconfigure the entire table to accommodate one extra person. We were a party of 12 (or 13) with a reservation made long in advance and they sat us in the bar area.
No bread served and the appetizers that we pre-ordered were kind of light (not enough). We told them that we were having 15 people, so I am not sure why they were light.
It took over an hour for the entrees to be brought out after the appetizers and some of the steaks were overcooked.
I loved Tellers in the past and was sad to see how bad it was last night.

My husband and I live in the Bay Shore area and one night we stopped by Tula for a drink --then we decided to get a snack! Good thing we did- the P.E.I. (Prince Edward Island) Mussels were to die for! Tasty and plentiful-yummy. .I only wish I had taken a picture to show you

This is a great cafe in the middle of the Bayard Cutting Arboretum. The fare varies from tea and freshly baked pies to soup and sandwiches. Seating is indoor or out and is located right on the Connetquot River. Parking is tight and while it accepts the NY Empire Pass, it's a fun place to bike to (no biking on grounds though).

ive always been an ice cream girl, not really liking Italian ice. Not anymore! I absolutely love the Sweedish Fish ice at Rita's. It tastes exactly like the candy. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. Only one problem is the line situation.. People tend to line up into the parking lot not to the side which can be a little bit of a hazard. Good suggestion would be a line rope, so people would go to the side and avoid getting hit by a car.
