This place had the best smoked everything, Briskets, ribs and sausage. Service was timely and polite. Family gathering type environment. Ibbqlook forward to eating here again on our next mini vacation. Affordable cost and a high quality in food and customer service.

In those child hood yesterday years there are things that are dear to heart. And some call them crispies and other elephant ears. But for the excellence of perfection the Quality Bakery is continuing on that same great anytime treat. Love these goodies.

We stopped for a light breakfast of muffins, fruit and coffee. The muffins were flavorful and light, but not freshly baked. The problem was the service. It was almost comical how inept the crew was. So slow, forgetting orders, washing bowl for fruit and then forgetting to serve. The coffee was OK, but when we went up for refills, the wait was too long since no other customers were there. Then a to-go cup, which was prepared for another customer as a mistake, was opened and poured into our cups. We wanted black plain coffee and the "to-go" was flavored. Comfortable setting, but we won't be back.

We started our meal with fabulous Hot Chocolate, topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup! Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. We decided on Cubana and Tasty Turkey sandwiches, trading so we each got half of each sandwich. Both were delicious. Our glasses of water included a slice of lemon, what a nice touch! The Cooks Room has a nice atmosphere with great staff, and delicious food.

Fast Food Chain
Stopped here as I was passing by right at 11AM on a Tuesday. Was waited on immediately at the counter by an older man who was very nice. We talked a little sports and I ordered two double deluxes without the cheese and a drink. He made up the order so I didn't have to pay for the cheese. (I have seen this done at a couple other Culvers I have been to. Unlike all the other fast food restaurants who make you pay for cheese even if you don't order it) Food arrived very hot and fresh within 5 minutes. Tasted great. Will be back next time I'm travelling through.

We were advised by locals that the Aztlan Mexican Grill was a good place to eat. They were right - we were treated very courteously by the staff and the food was served quickly/was very tasty. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Mexican cuisine.

Food was great but forgot to send silver ware for the pasta (so we had to improvise ), other than that it was great!

Dodgeville, WI is the halfway point between our home and some close friends that we frequently visit. The only frustration of our 6 hour rides was a lack of decent eating places along the way. Well, our opinion has dramatically changed. We stopped at the Country Kitchen last week, and we were amazed at its food and its staff. Everything we ate was fresh, unprocessed, well-prepared and delicious. Portions were bountiful and prices were very reasonable. To top it off, the wait staff really cared about us (and the other customers).
Now I know that Country Kitchen is a chain, but this place showed us what good cooking of fresh, seasonal foods, made to order and served with thoughtfulness can do to satisfy the weary traveler.
We will stop there every time we pass nearby. It's worth a detour, if your travels take you anyway near.

This is a bar/restaurant/bowling alley. Food was really quite good and the service was outstanding. Dinners come with a pretty decent salad bar which includes soup and a dessert. Prime rib was good for the price. All in all, a good value. PLEASE NOTE, THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS, BUT THERE IS AN ATM IN THE RESTAURANT.

Located North East of Dodgeville, WI this bar has a long history as a gathering place for locals and visitors. Expect a reasonable but not cheap menu of sandwiches and a good selection of beers. Saturday night is Prime Rib night and serves about the best Prime Rib in the area. Local workers often come here for lunch. A true beer and a burger atmosphere.
The decor remains much the same as it was when I was a kid just after WWII but updated and expanded for food service, etc. Be aware... it gets quite loud when Wisconsin football is on the TV. Just be prepared to deal with it!
