Delaware's Dewey Beach is a spectacular sandbar community - on one side is Rehoboth bay, and on the other side there are the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Dewey Beach itself is a small town of less than 400 people, but it has become a popular tourist destination for anyone interested in water sports and beach vacations, and is the perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. If you get tired of Dewey Beach, which is pretty much impossible, Cape May is only 30 miles down the road and Brandywine Zoo and the historic Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard are right around the corner.

Hot Hand Dipped Cake Donuts anyway you like em !!
After several years of going to Rehoboth beach, we finally stopped here to try their famous donuts. And they didn't disappoint. Their donuts were made to order, hot, and delicious. We ordered several different ones to try. Our favorite so far is the strawberry shortcake. We're definitely making this a tradition and can't wait to go back.

First visit, but not our last.
Very casual, bar atmosphere. Bartender very personable. Inside and outside seating available. Imagine hard to get into in season. We went off season on a Monday night, and it was pretty busy. A locals hot spot.
Started with wings. Meaty. Good carrots and celery.
The highlight were the crab cakes. Big, lots of lump meat, very little filler. Very tasty!! Got on salad - very fresh.

Do you love salami? Prosciutto? How about both? Couldn't choose between the 2 so I was recommended to have both in my sandwiches and they're delicious: thick pieces of mozzarella, and many many slices of salami and prosciutto.
They have good deserts too.
Reasonable price. Definitely stop by if you visit the town.

We were hoping for some outstanding, homemade ice cream when we stopped here. We got chocolate in a waffle bowl, and ended up tossing half of it (both my husband and I agreed most anything in the freezer aisle is better)! Even the waffle bowl was nothing special.

La Fable Brasserie, located on the beach block of Rehoboth's iconic Baltimore Avenue, offers traditional French cuisine with a bohemian Parisian street cafe flair. Whether you choose to join "Fable" for an early meal or cocktail during Leve-Tot, for an intimate dinner with friends, or to enjoy a late night rendezvous at our "piano" bar, we hope for each guest to create their own dining story.
Six neighborhood friends started the New Year off with dinner at this cozy French restaurant on Baltimore Ave. While I thoroughly enjoyed my meal of Fois Gras Torchon and Bouillabaisse others had some faults with their choice. The French Onion soup was apparently served lukewarm and the croutons were rock hard. My wife enjoyed the escargot and had the roasted chicken. My sister and one other had the trout almandine with haricot vertes (string beans) and thought it was very good although overpriced and not a big enough portion. I thought La Fable compared favorably to a lot of French restaurants that are way overpriced and that have very small portion sizes. The Coquille St. Jacques (scallops) were cooked perfectly. On a previous occasion, I had passed this restaurant on my way to Clear Space Theater and noticed that they had a keyboard player. Inquiring about this, I was told they offer this entertainment on the weekends. I just wonder how well you can hear it though as the keyboard sits at the end of the small bar which is in a room off to the side of the dining area.

Went for happy hour. They have specials almost every day. The happy hour menu was diverse offering dishes like pork belly, crab rangoon, mahi mahi , beef, chicken and kalua pork tacos. All food we ordered was great. The margaritas were only $5.00 but they weren't very good. The female bartender had no personality and should probably find a job where she doesn't have to deal with people.

Fudge, Chocolates, Ice Cream
The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The fudge was absolutely awesome. I purchased a smore marshmallow and it was not good at all, so that's why I cannot give 5 stars.

Open everyday year round, Kaisy's Delights(R) is about a culinary journey in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In a unique setting and ambiance, you will discover the amazing Kaisy(R) which is the quintessential dessert / breakfast / snack / lunch on the Austrian ski slopes, together with our grandma's style potato latkes , our exceptional breakfast sandwiches on the Kaiser rolls and the truly outstanding, ward-winning coffee from La Colombe.
We stopped in here for a little 'snack'. We enjoyed our ice cream and soda. However, the guy that waited on us was not quite as friendly and we felt we were more of an imposition to him. Maybe because it was 'off season' and he had things he needed to get done. Too bad because it was a cute little place. Maybe when the 'season' is in full swing he will be friendlier!

The Starboard Restaurant is Dewey's most famous venue for fun, great times, and tremendous service! It has been home-awayfrom-home for most Dewey Beach visitors over our 55+ year history. The Starboard truly holds a special place in more people's hearts than anyone could ever imagine! The Starboard was originally built and opened by Duke Duggan around 1960 and has gone through several changes over its years. Purchased and run by the Hearn family during the late 80's and early 90's, Chip Hearn grew The Starboard into a nationally known hot spot. Purchased by current owners Steve 'Monty' Montgomery and his partners in 1999, The Starboard's popularity is now off the charts as it has grown into a national phenomenon! From famous Suicide Sundays to Eggs Delmarva and wonderful breakfasts and nightly entertainment - both on stage and with long-time DJ personalities - you will always find a crowd of people enjoying themselves at The Starboard. Wear Starboard merchandise anywhere in the country and you are bound to have someone mention how much fun THEY had when last in Dewey Beach! There isn't enough room to list all the awards from over the years - most impressive have been the infamous Cornerstone Award in 2010 by the Delaware Restaurant Association showing the level of community service The Starboard has contributed. Our local Chamber of Commerce awarded The Starboard its Business of the Year in 2009, and Delaware Today magazine readers annually award The Starboard as Dewey Beach's best restaurant, best downstate bar, best Sunday brunch, best staff, best event (Running of the Bull), amongst so many others. Enjoy The Starboard. It's truly a place thanks to so many wonderful people enjoying themselves throughout all these years... Went to Royal Treat for breakfast because of its reputation of good food. We were not impressed. At opening 8Am there was a line to get in. We were seated quickly. Service was not a problem. The food was not impressive. Homefries were under cooked. Creamed chipped beef lacked flavor. Egg omelet was okay - nothing special. We have eaten at other local places and received better meals for less cost. We will not be back.
