We visited Shogun for the first time and loved it! The kids enjoyed their food, we enjoyed sushi and hibachi. It was a hit! Service was great and the restaurant was clean.
TIP: Try the desserts....they were amazing! Also, they made a half portion of an adult entrée for our daughter...at half the price...very accommodating!

This is my first choice for a quiet coffee or lunch break. The coffee is excellent and the sandwiches and desserts are delicious. There are 3 spaces to choose from: the front area where there is music playing with regular, cafe, or bar tables; the back room without music, lots of windows, comfy chairs and tables; the patio with sun during the afternoon.

We ordered from the lunch menu on the last pages. We chose bento boxes which included soup, salad, shumai, California rolls, and the main course. One of us is allergic to shellfish so the waitress substituted veggie dumplings for the shumai and rolls. I didn't want the rolls so she offered extra shumai. The meals were flavorful and generous. We will surely return for lunch or dinner.

It's so easy to keep a freezer full of top-notch interest flavors from the supermarket, but every once in a while it's good to branch out and try a couple of scoops of something not so mass produced. We managed to arrive during live-music time, which can be a treat (or decidedly not).

Athos was voted one of the 100 Best Greek Restaurants in America by The National Herald. Casually elegant, Athos serves only the very freshest seasonal ingredients, lovingly brought together using time-honored recipes and techniques, like clay pot cooking, and whole fresh fish-filleted table-side.
When in Albany, it is worth your while to eat here. Close to the Crossgates Mall with ample parking- the service is great, plentiful seating and delicious fare. We made last minute reservations for 5 for Sunday night and were immediately seated around 6:30pm. We shared appetizers and a lamb meal, a fish dinner filleted at the table, and even enjoyed some prix fixe in our selections. We all agreed that we would recommend and return again. Also, kudos to Charlie our server for his suggestions and patience. Well done!!

I ate at The Hidden Cafe while on a business trip to close the acquisition of a marvelous parcel of land for conservation and hiking purposes on behalf of the Trail Conference.
The decor was interesting with a maritime theme of no particular location; service was fast and very friendly; and cleanliness was fairly good.
The food, however, varied widely in quality. The Houma house and the yogurt mix were both fairly good, but the baba ganoush was far too acidic, so acidic that I couldn't make out any of the other tastes.
The scallops were fresh and cooked well but absolutely drowned in olive oil and served with tangerine slices so over cooked as to be tasteless.
The string beans were fresh and cooked well but also drenched in olive oil and covered with a tasteless cheese.
This may be good food for the area based on other reviews so I have awarded three stars despite my reservations.

I frquently go here and pick up Shrimp Tempura (appetizer) to take home. I may have to stop because they are so stingy with the dipping sauce. I've mentioned it to the owner and she was defensive and unresponsive. Just said "It's right there!" ignoring that the little container was not even half full. I've tried many other foods I normally like and find them to be tasteless or unrecognizable. I went there with a friend who is much more flexible and loves a wide range of foods. She said she will never go back- because of food and unresponsive owner. She too ordered a dish she frequently orders elsewhere. She took one bite and couldn't eat any more of it. I rarely see any other customers there. They are in perfect location. Right next to the CVS where I get all my meds.

Traditional/Contemporary Italian Cuisine, affordable entrees, great service, and the atmosphere is sure to please.
While the restaurant was a bit on the loud side, the atmosphere was upbeat and bustling. Once we got our food, we knew why...DELICIOUS!! Outstanding calamari and appetizer specials. From seafood to pasta to chicken..no one was disappointed. Best tiramesu I've had! The service was not rushed and friendly. And the prices very fair and they offer a great coupon on LocalFlavor!. Will definitely go back!
