we had heard about the good quality of service and were lookin for a good fish dinner. Unfortunately, they only serve snacks, pastas and other quick bites.

This restaurant offers very fine dining at very reasonable prices. Several set menues allow you to taste a lot of different plates at an affordable price. Amazing how many variants of one fruit can be combined in a desert. Somewhat longer waiting times allow you to really enjoy !

For once all words fail me. Did I just die and go to heaven? I asked for a predominantly vegetarian set of courses (with some fish) and the chef, clearly a genius, attended to each with cleverness and skill. That is one of a chef's hardest tasks and he passes with flying colours. As do his hard working and brilliant staff. There are few places to top here.

We've visited this nice restaurant twice. You can expect great service and good quality food. Price/quality rate is excellent. Nice choice of flemish dishes in a superb setting. Very stable family business. Better reserve to make sure you can get in.

Highly recommend this centrally located restaurant. Albeit the only people in (due to low season) we were really well looked after and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Moules were excellent as was the Beef. High quality indeed.
Let the owner, nice man, choose your wine, he knows what he is talking about.

This is a popular restaurant in a very convenient location close to the Promenade and within walking distance of many hotels.
The service is friendly and efficient. There is a very extensive list of gins which seems to be their speciality. They are beautifully served and decorated. Someone mentioned they are pricey. Well you get what you pay for and compared to London they were very acceptable.
They have a very extensive wine list, which is not overpriced for the most part.
The food throughout our meal was of a consistently high quality of flavour and presentation. Nice amuse bouche. Beautifully cooked fresh asparagus flamande(an egg and parsley type moussline)
My wife's steak was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. My pan fried fillet of brill was delicious. Although not a criticism as the dish most enjoyable, but as we were latish, the supposed bed of spinach was more like a pillow of spinach with a mashed potato duvet!! I think they must have run out. No problem the mash was great.
Excellent creme brûlée
Around a most enjoyable meal and we all agreed we would go back without any hesitation.

Our first choice of restaurant was fully booked, so off we went in search of another place. We were very happy to find this one we didn't know about. A bit dreary from the side of the road (lack of parking space), but once inside, the back part of the restaurant is quite surprising. We got the best table, quiet, no neighbours and next to the indoor pond.
Light and inventive food, tasty and colourful.
Friendly staff, some of them lacking experience though.

Cuisine avec des produits de saison et une carte qui change toutes les 3 semaines en inspiration du chef ... .
Food is not bad although the Chef could not take some more lessons at e.g. Le Cordon Bleu. Some of the ingredients are not matching each other or dominating each other.
But generally food is ok.
Service is rather "plate delivering" service. And not interested in Clients - the women prefers rather watching tv.
That is a pity.

Now and then we meet hosts always looking for improvement, making their guests feel at home, trying to overachieve. This is what we found a Saturday evening in this restaurant. It already showed during the reservation call and it went on as from our arrival. We spent a fantastic evening in this place. The food was great, service was professional but warm. Just as our little girl, we had a great meal.

Amazing hot chocolate with lots of little accompaniments. We were very lucky to find this place as it is hidden away up a residential street and came upon it by chance. If you come down the slope from Hotel Donny, turn right and the café is on your left in about 30 yards.
