Gastronomy is something that transcends the borders of its origins, giving you the opportunity to taste flavors from other lands In Café Rincón Libanes we have brought an important part of our country to the center of the beautiful city of David in the province of Chiriquí, recreating a traditional Middle Eastern atmosphere that accompanied by our special dishes, allows anyone who enters through the doors of the restaurant leave for a moment the hustle and bustle of the street and relax tasting our menu and drinks, finely prepared for a demanding palate. In the same way, we include in our options an international type menu, with special cuts of beef and local dishes for those who wish to go traditional. All this accompanied by our wines and beers or a relaxing "Arguile or Hookah" with fruit flavors. Welcome to Lebanon, Welcome To Café Rincon Libanes
The ambiance is nice, but the hummus was lacking lemon and the meat was burned and hardly any sauce in my emparedado, so it was dry AND burned. Decided to go one more time and give them a second chance, cause i love arab food and this is the only place. Second time the hummus was served without any lemon in it again, but after i asked and added, the hummus tasted ok.

I would like to review the main (of 3) restaurant in the Gran Hotel National. This is the best restaurant that I found in David, Panama and very reasonably priced.
We ate in italian restaurant inside the hotel. The food is without taste, really plain. I would nor recommend it to anybody. Pizza was bad, almost no tomato sauce. Full of cheese and lack of additionals. Pasta also bad. Cake was not even served but it showed up in the bill... I hope the grill restaurant outside is better cause the italian one is giving very bad impression for relatively good hotel...

It just sort of feels like coming home when you enter El Fogon. You would not know from the outside what it is like inside.... plus it is air conditioned, a rarity for David restaurants. Good food, pretty good wait staff mostly more mature, comfortable and the prices are not out of this world.

Atmosphere: I ate there on a weekday about 3:00 in the afternoon. There was one other table of people eating there. The place was decorated nicely and would pass as a Mexican restaurant in America. The Television was on and very loud, so much so that it was difficult to talk with other people. The Television was playing a Rihanna video compliation over and over and was borderline sexually explicit. I would not want my children eating there with me.
Food: Truthfully the food was sub-par. I ordered chicken fajitas. They were not like the chicken fajitas that you would get in the states at a Mexican restaurant. The chicken was tough and not very flavorable. The portion was tiny, maybe one scoop of food that had been made much earlier in the day or something. Even though the portion was small, I left half of it on the plate. It just wasn't very edible.
Service: There was only my table and one other table eating there. There were three different servers standing around talking with each other, and an additional worker behind the bar that was immediately to the right of where I was sitting. It took me 20 minutes after I had pushed the plate away to get the check. I had no refills of my water.
Cleanliness. The restaurant was clean. The tables and chairs seemed straight and the table tops appeared ready for customers.
Price: My chicken fajitas were $16 for approximately 1/5 of the portion that you would receive in America. This is the only place I've been so far in Panama that I have contemplated that maybe I got the gringo menu instead of the local menu. I can't imagine how they would justify that the meal they served me would warrant a price of $16. I've had ten times the portion five times the quality at below half the cost in the states.

This is next door to the Hotel Castilla (turn left when exiting hotel). Its cafeteria style food, plenty of Seating. Great for breakfast and lunch.

I came here with family for lunch. We are upstairs which was nice and private. We were the only ones in the upstairs room at the time.
I was able to have the salad bar which had spring mix lettuce, beets, cucumbers, olives, shredded carrots, tomatoes, red peppers... I had the chimichurri sauce because it was olive oil based with onions and cilantro. It was so tasty! The actual salad dressings they had available had mayo in them, so I passed on them.
I ordered an eggplant marinated in vinegar with a pita. This was a hot plate for my surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was able to fill full with repeats from the salad bar.
The rest of the family members had steak, a ham Sandwich with fries, shrimp ceviche and Panamanian beer Balboa. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.
The restaurant also has a bakery on the main floor.

For David, this is considered an upscale neighborhood restaurant. We saw well-dressed couples and families having a relaxed dinner. We sat outside because the inside was very hot and stuffy. Even at night, David is sultry (think New Orleans or Houston). But the patio was fine.
We ordered two corvina (sea bass) dishes- one in white wine sauce with capers and mushrooms, the other in a red seafood sauce with shrimp and octopus on top. Both came with sides of salad and potatoes. The fish was served piping hot and was out of this world good- perfectly cooked and super fresh taste. The total bill for 4 beers and two large plates was $28.89- cheap by U.S. standards, pricey for Panama.
Service was good by Panamanian standards, just a little slow by big-city U.S. standards. So don't go if you're in a huge rush.
We walked to and from the restaurant from Hotel Cuidad de David, about 8 blocks away. Although we walked at night, we felt safe in David.

Terra Restaurant & Pizza David Italian, Mediterranean and Pizzas We have Executive Menu at lunch Grill Nights Quality, Flavor and Passion are our best ingredients
Delicious Italian dishes and excellent, cheerful, welcoming service in a pleasantly furnished restaurant in a very convenient location with free off-street parking. Absolutely no negatives. Noted while there (Good Friday afternoon) that TripAdvisor (Duped by an unkind competitor?) indicated they were closed Friday and Saturday,...MoreThanks for visit Terra. We weiting you come back.

Right next door the Hospital Mae Lewis, very convenient if you are there for appointments. Easily accessed from the Interamericana from anywhere when you're out doing errands. Smokin Mammas has friendly staff, indoor and outdoor Seating, parking, bar, cold beer, clean bathrooms. The food is prepared fresh, reasonably fast and tasty too. We've been here at least 4 times. My husband loves the pulled pork Sandwich. The salads are great, the fries and starters are tasty. They offer a yummy vegetarian burger too. It is a tasty meal and good value too. Also if there is any kind of sport that you don't want to miss then don't worry it will be on one of their TVs.
