Raceway Grill has been in business for as long as I can remember. It is a wonderful family restaurant. Located between the Darlington Race Track and Meinhams ,Formerly Clantons, Auto action. Great owners, wonderful servers, fast service..Drink a beer , coffee, soft drink or there wonderful sweet tea. They are decorated with racing pictures and memorabilia. Many fans, drivers and crews know of this famous and fabulous diner. Good parking and get ready to relax and get your money's worth. Know for real French fries, wonderful baked potatos, large steaks, hamburger steaks, and I love the fried pork chops. Be sure to get a salad, all the way..And try the best blue cheese dressing ever! We eat it with salad, our meat, dip fries in it and the great crackers and butter, they bring to tables. Love this place.

Went to Mayflower on Friday night with my family. Food was awesome! The Friday special was Deviled crab, popcorn shrimp with 1 side. There were two deviled crab, whst seemed to be a pound of popcorn shrimp, 4 large hushpuppies, coleslaw, and my side was the freshest tossed salad I've had. Im a fairly large eater, and I had a takeout box FULL of shrimp to take.
Everyones plate was loaded up and we probably have enough leftovers for two more meals!
Oh yeah, the price on the special..... $8.99!!
Great place to est!

This long time eatery is under new ownership. They have struggled with menu and hours. They even closed two weeks to reevaluate the situation. Happy to report positive changes have been made. Try it.

My sister and I stumbled upon Nick's BBQ in Darlington, SC while visiting family there. It was so good, we brought back the whole family! Vinegar base barbeque and such typical church picnic items as squash casserole, butter beans and more. friendly service! Can't wait to visit again!

Anyone who knows me, knows I don't like buffets but after this place I will eat my words. This is just plain old fashioned cooking. Wonderful chicken, potatoes and macaroni and cheese to die for. We were looking for a place for lunch on a road trip, saw all the cars and stopped here. This is a local for sure...a happy local.
There were many choices from a salad bar to a hot food bar. But the chicken and macaroni and cheese made me go back for more. My husband said the salad choice was fresh and good. Plus they have very tasty lemonade....HIGHLY recommend for very reasonable price.

Nothing to rave about, just average food, slow service. The spaghetti I had was properly cooked, al dente! The sauce was okay, the server said it was made at the restaurant. It was a Monday and my family and I were the only customers.

My wife and our friend had lunch at Jewel's and enjoyed our visit. Jewel's, on the square in Darlington , is open for lunch only, 11 to 2. We were seated right away and got menus. At Jewel's you write your choice on a slip of paper and the waitress collects your order. I chose the club sandwich, coleslaw, chips and tea. The sandwich was very good and had bacon, lettuce, tomato , ham and mayo. Coleslaw was also good. Service was excellent.
