Theodosi restaurant serves Greek and creative Cretan cuisine prepared with fresh local products and complemented by a fine selection of wine. Our outdoor patio offers spectacular sea and city views while savoring imaginative drinks and desserts from around the globe.
The view of the sea at sunset is just gorgeous! The restaurant is elegant, food is delicious, prices are ok for this quality. Service is quite good but can be improved. Overall a very good experience.I am happy you had a nice experience at Theodosi restaurant! I look forward to cooking for you again very soon.

The owner is super friendly and you can have a nice chat, such an understanding man. Overall the cleanliness is great! The view is nicer than from the beach restaurants. Food is good.

Cozy, family and traditional restaurant with delicious and filling portions, every day specialties. We serve the best homemade wine, raki and rakomelo(raki with honey). We only use our certified olive oil to cook. Hearty service ("Philoxenia") and fair prices. Credit cards accepted. Accessibility to disabled. If you think of celebrating birthday or other events, Amethystos can prepare one completely unforgettable evening. Daily open from 10.00 until closing.
Stayed at the Rouladina opposite this restaurant but didn't eat here until the last night of our holiday. We were a big family group (including children) and we were made to feel very welcome and seated on a lovely Terrace. Both the service and food were excellent and reasonably priced too. Good variety on the menu - if you want fresh fish I think you need to let them know the day before so it can be ordered in from the daily catch. The only downside was that we hadn't visited this place earlier in our holiday - I'm sure we would have returned several times if we had. It's only a little out the way of the main strip in Stalos but really worth the effort of finding. I would definitely go back here and would highly recommend it too.

Our aim is to provide simple, tasty food at affordable prices in a relaxed atmosphere. Our restaurant opens mid April till end of October.
Long wait to start with. We were warned thet 'all menus are at tje other tables'. Friendly service otherwise. We had their mixed grill. Ample portions but some cuts had lots of bone slivers and some were overcooked to charcoal. A bit mote attention to this signature dush, please.
Very good fruit salad as a dessert.
Prices were just above the average for the area which cuts to value, too.

Kosmas Taverna is a large restaurant situated in a garden setting along the main road in Kato Stalos. The garden in itself provides a great attraction, but the real draw is the food. Try the kleftiko and boureki. The first is a meat and potato dish, while the latter is a vegetable-type dish. Both include local herbs. Other dishes that stand out include the marinated chicken breast and garlic bread. Do try the fresh bream, it's fantastic. My girlfriend and I visit this restaurant several times whenever we are in the Chania area. We love the tranquil and romantic setting of the garden along with the taste of the local dishes. The waiters are very friendly and offer advice on the specials. You can stay as long as you want... no one will rush you to leave to make room for new guests. It is a very relaxing place to be in the evening. Plan to be there by 7:00 PM to get the best table. Stay until 10:00 or longer if you have the time, it's worth it. The tables closer to the street feature more illumination, while the tables along the sides offer a more intimate setting. There is also a special area for children.

We went there because of the good reviews. The start was very good: very friendly welcoming. We ordered cretan sausages and filled zucchini flowers. The zucchini flowers were excellent, the saussages were good too, although they were partly burned. As main dishes we ordered sea food, which were very bad and partly burned too. Besides, the vegetables were ice cold, which were served aside the sea food. Only the fried potatoes were ok.
When the waitress asked, if we want to take the food home which was left and we answered no, the mood of her went to the other side. Since that point she and the other waiter were not so courteous anymore, she even was a little pertly...
Maybe we ordered the wrong food (it was marked as frosted), however they shouldn't put it on the menu if they even know its not good, which I suspect was the case because they didn't ask us how the food was.
Maybe the chef had a bad day, but we cannot recommend the taverna.

Piato is a family-run business with a relaxing enviroment and tables around the swimming pool, serving real home-made, high-quality dishes. Piato is located on the main road to Platanias, 4 km west of Chania city.
This is by far one of the best home cooking experiences you can have. It's a family run restaurant attached to a small hotel owned by the same family. The mother is in the kitchen each evening cooking and while it's very straightforward Greek food, it's delicious and welcoming. The service is equally amazing and attentive. The hospitality and the attention make for a great visit. We went twice and had the same experience both times and you'll also find some excellent Greek wine options

This place could rival any French patisserie in terms of what is on offer. It isn't your typical Greek pastries on sale. The cabinet is filled with beautiful looking pastries. I had the coffee cream tart which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the lemon tart - also excellent. It is very pleasant sitting in the little street outside enjoying your coffee and pastry. I found the staff serving us (a male) to be courteous. You can get a decaf coffee here too.

Corinna Star Restaurant's cuisine cruises the sea of taste following the route of simplicity and authenticity, piloted by Mr. Yannis and his son Vassilis. We renewed our cuisine by simplifying its menu to pure Mediterranean style cooking while, on the other hand, we enriched our seafood dishes with fish from the very same nets of Mr. Yannis. You should definitely consider tasting the seafood pasta with mussels and lobster (if the catch the night before was good...in the end, life's a game of chance). In case you are lucky, don't miss out on this opportunity. And a tip from the house: Accompany this quality dish with Moschofilero or Savatiano (varieties of Greek white wine). In case luck doesn't favour you and the seafood pasta is not available, the "Corinna pasta" is always on the menu, and it's a dish you are guaranteed to enjoy. Achieving superb taste is not easy. It's a secret recipe in itself, one that's multidimensional and with many requisites: Honesty, quality, natural ingredients, passion and authentic atmosphere. In our case, all these originate from the magical scenery surrounding you and from the friendly disposition of the people cooking for you as well as those waiting on you.
This was the first place we ate on our 7 day holiday and we have decided it will be the last place we eat at tomorrow night. We have ended up spending most of our time here as the pool is so lovely and it has such a friendly feel to it.
We have only had lunch so far so we are looking forward to going for tea tomorrow, the children are keen to use the pool as its open until 9pm! The food has been consistently excellent and all the staff have been very friendly and good with the children. Having our final meal there tomorrow will be the perfect end to a wonderful holiday.
