At the westernmost point of the African continent, Dakar stands as a multicultural, diverse city full of vibrant arts and traditions. Residents from various ethnic groups present assorted crafts, foods, jewelry, fabrics and wood and metal goods at bustling markets such as Marche Sandaga or Marche HLM. The city is home to museums and mosques, cliff walks and beaches, and makes a convenient jumping point for excursions to any of Senegal's national parks and nature reserves.

The setting is delightfull! That’s where the positives end. The staff is disorganized, inattentive and service is slow. Portions are generous but the quality varying. Prawn cocktail was nice, but drowned in dressing. Fish looked nice, the pasta was awfull! The prices are completely out of proportion to the quality and service

The pros : wide variety of dishes, and attention is paid to the presentation of the dishes. Good service.
The cons : address on google maps was incorrect and we had to ask people on the street to be re-directed to the new address (fairly close to the old one). Don’t come too early as Kitchen only opens at 20:00.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel and were charmed by the decor and the location of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and put us at a table overlooking the ocean and a small private beach (very very clean !!). The food, fresh seafood tagliatelle for me and the grilled steak for my husband, was delicious. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, food and ambiance, that we decided to return the next night for dinner. This was even better if possible. Ocean view, moonlight and waves crashing on the beach, with a wonderful "chicken Yasa" and grilled fish was more than we could have asked for. Then it got better as the manager "Alpha" suggested we have our final drinks on the beach. No better way to end our vacation than sitting on a moonlit beach sipping drinks. When we return to Dakar the restaurant Ngor will definitely be a stop and we would recommend to anyone who likes great food and ambiance !!! Bon Voyage
Great view, right on the waters edge.
Thiof grilled fish excellent.
Wi fi non existent!
Service could be more attentive!
Well priced menu!
Here is what spoiled my experience was when I paid with a credit card the waitress added +300 onto my bill because I was using my card surely this is not legal.
My French is not good so I let it be but will rather visit other places in future that have honored my Credit card without adding +300

Very much feels like a tourist dining experience when you combine the very authentic decor, the handicraft store outside with the live music experience. It's located just off the main road, although you do feel very removed from the outside buzz. There is an outside and indoor Seating area- plenty of space and limited parking outside! The menu itself serves local dishes and the quality is good- prices are medium range but as a vegetarian the options remain limited- always ask about alternative options. Waiter are friendly and attentive - try the Thursday night for gospel choir!

Very good fillet... first comes first: starter was good; different salads and other starters... really nothing to complain. Starters have size and taste of a main dish. However I was really missing some meat. The fillet was prepared properly, without killing the meat with sauces. The only problem is the size: 300g.

Consider your restaurant as your second home. Simplicity and convenience, these are our priorities. Come with friends, family, and enjoy the beautiful landscape by the sea, overlooking the island of Ngor. Enjoy the freshness of our fish caught directly by local fish wholesalers or directly by customers of our fishing center Atlantic Evasion. If you love fish, you'll love La Cabane du Pecheur!
The place is nicely located on the beach and with an Terrace right on the sand. Hower, the person serving me was rather rude and the inside was smelly and dark (even with bright Sunshine outside). They said they could not serve coffee, only beers ... very odd.
Too bad because it has the potentiality of being a nice place.

Restaurant La Pointe des Almadies is an outdoor restaurant that overlooks the sea. Specalized in PAELLA and seafood
We ate at the seafood stalls the night before and decided to go a little upscale for Xmas eve. Actually was a mistake we had better food ambience, music in the food stalls. They didn't have lobsters. We had starters of mixed seafood and shrimp cocktail, was okay but nothing special. Mains were seafood fricasse and grilled shrimp. All was rather tasteless and bland. Service was great, people working there a pleasure, very nice indoor/outdoor decor. But I want the food to be the main attraction and it wasn't.
