I love eating at this Restaurant when I’m in town visiting my sister. We always get Awesome service. The food is so delicious and plentiful I take leftovers home for my husband. The staff have always been attentive and accommodating.
The restaurant is always clean and smelling great. Thanks da Baffone for keeping us coming back.

Home to America's favorite Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, burgers, salads, and chocolate cake.
The atmosphere is great. They throw you into prohibition with their great displays. They’re famous for their beef sandwich which most of the family will get. Some wet, some with gravy on the side. I personally like the chili cheese dogs. Barnelli’s is in the same building and has great Italian food. My favorite there is the lasagna and my wife’s is the garbage salad. The chocolate cake is a sole reason to go, but I prefer the strawberry shortcake.

Having moved from this area, we really miss GOOD deep dish pizza. Ordered carryouts over Christmas. The Spinach/Cheese special pizza was devoured by our group, as was the sausage deep dish! One of the group does not care for deep dish, and so we added a thin crust. So, two large deep dish, and one small thin crust for 8 adults - all gone!!

Our Purpose: “The Nick’s Experience” Our dedicated family provides this community an unforgettable place; to connect with your family and friends, to have fun and to feel at home! Nick’s Pizza & Pub is a Purpose and values-driven company. We honor the people we work with and the communities in which we do business. This allows us to maintain extremely low team turnover, provide profit sharing for every member of our team, and create a fun, open work environment.
Delightful decor (especially at Christmas), wait staff that's fun and attentive (and many have been there for years), free peanuts...Nick's pizza is okay---we usually get thin crust and it's pretty fast to your table---and to their credit, they're always trying new toppings too (wish they'd bring the cheeseburger pizza back). Good sandwiches (Italian beef and sausage are good!), burgers, and appetizers (the usual offerings: garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, sweet potato fries). You can not go wrong with anything at Nick's.
But best of all is this restaurant's continued commitment to the community at both their Crystal Lake and Elgin sites!
Very popular on weekends!

Located at the Northeast corner of Route 14 and Pingree Road, Jameson's Charhouse in Crystal Lake has been serving steaks, chops, and fresh fish since 2009. Open for lunch, dinner, and all holidays. Call to make reservations today!
Food and service are just ok. Can't say anything I have had here was bad but nothing wowed me. I asked for steak to be prepared
rare and it arrived medium well done. Server seemed put out when I sent it back. Mashed potatoes are great but should not be the highlight of the plate. Vegables undercooked. Grilled chicken was quite good on another visit. Service is generally good.

Casual gastropub featuring gourmet sandwiches and comfort food featuring locally sourced organic and sustainable foods. Over 140 different Craft Brews and Belgian Ales, 21 of which are on draft.
Since Duke's changed its menu, increased its prices, and have adopted a rather snobby wait staff, we've decreased our dining at Duke's; even the local and organic food sources aren't enough of a draw to get us back in. We liked the bar and outside patio especially for lunch, but......Be aware that parking can be difficult, especially at popular times--their lot is too small and street parking costs (pay at the train station). Nope, we're not coming back and we used to be fairly regular...

Went to Kyoto Japanese Restaurant with my wife and cousin Chris who lives in Huntly, IL. We sat at a table with a family of seven. The Chief was very entertaining and cooked and presented the food very well! I would strongly recommend this restaurant to any couple or family group. Good presentation of food, good performance of Chief who cooks the food right at your table and fair prices. Will return some day with Chris and his family!

This is a family favorite and a common location for a weekend breakfast. We always enjoyed our food and the bakery goods. Service is professional and efficient.

I know the owner is new, but the kitchen staff is the same. We went on a Saturday with the reservation and we're seated at the front of the restaurant by the door. If the tables were way too close together people kept bumping into us and it was very cold every time the door opened. Although the kitchen is the same the food was not. I ordered the rack of lamb it was tough and flavourless. My husband had the trout and although it was good it was a very small portion. The couple with us both had steaks and they were tough. Our waitress was attentive and did the best she could but everyone was overwhelmed. When we were leaving, we asked to use the exit door in the bar and were told it was locked. As crowded as this restaurant is I think that is very dangerous! We will try again on a weeknight but we were very very disappointed.
