A little jewel of an eatery nestled in downtown Crandon, Wisconsin a picturesque tourist town located in Northeast Wisconsin at the headwaters of the pristine Wolf River. Not many towns have 4 lakes right in town, but we do. We also are home to the International Off Road Brush Run Races that you will find on ESPN and the National Footstock water ski show. We have 2 Native American reservations next door and a casino. Tricia's Bistro is located in a beautiful gift shop & serves the most delicious paninis, soups & coffees ever - it rivals any other sandwich shop of this type!! The dining room is cozy & informal, charming & artistic. I love their food! 715-478-1161 is their phone number.
The gift shop had a nice selection of gifts but nothing special. Most things were expensive. My complaint is that I walked into the gift shop and out of the two people working there, not one said a word. Not a word all the time I was browsing either.
My thoughts are this. If you do not have the time or manners to at least say hello, then I do not have the time to spend any of my money in your rude, really do not care that you walked through the door business.

I've eaten here a couple of times, we just had burgers, fries, etc. No one complained about their food. They also serve Asian dishes and I've heard people say they are good. Pizza is available too and was said to be good.

The food here was very good. My wife and I had the broiled walleye that came with a delicious homemade soup (pea soup) and either a baked potato or locally grown wild rice. Our companions had the lightly breaded version of the walleye and breaded shrimp. It's a place for a large number of people and not particularly attractive. I understand that some nights they have very reasonably priced specials.

I stopped here for lunch. For $8 I had the soup, salad, sandwich combination. The chicken noodle soup was good, the grilled cheese good, and the salad was goo. Just plain, ordinary comfort food. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant and restroom are very clean.
Some of the tables are made from old treadle sewing machines.
My only criticism is the hot water in the women's bathroom is scalding hot, a child or an elderly person with slow reaction time could get burned. I have never felt water that hot in any faucet anywhere. I reported it to the waitress but am going to notify the health department as someone could well get burned.

Great setting with awesome water view from the bar. We arrived at 6:30 and put in our name for a table. We weren't seated until 8pm. We waited for a waitress and waited for water. A bad start. We all ordered the fish fry except one who ordered a steak. The fish was horrid. Extra greasy on a salad plate with all of the crispy batter leavings from the bottom of the fryer. The waitress said, your potato will be out in a minute. The so-called baked potato was not even half baked. My friends steak was tough and over cooked.
The salad bar was lacking. The soup was gloppy clam chowder. Worst of all, it wasn't cheap! $15.95 for a fast food type meal and poor service. No thanks. The only good part was the old fashions in the bar. Well made and well priced. I'd go back for the drinks and the views. The food- I'll take a pass.

It's a quaint place - they did some remodeling but the biggest thing is they have a great cook. I eat there regularly and at breakfast - they have the best biscuits and gravy that I can find. They have a full menu and a great variety - I really like the French Dip sandwich... It's made from sliced prime rib.

Good food and another great place for dessert. You can drive up, eat outside under the roof or eat in. There is a small place inside to eat if the weather is bad. Everyone is very friendly too.

Looking for a quick meal that was kid friendly and tasty and not disappointed! Quite a wide variety of drive in restaurant type food, complete with more flavors of soft serve than you could imagine. You can either pull up and have your order taken right at your car window, use their picnic tables to eat, or order at the window to go. No inside seating would be the only drawback if it was a bad weather day, but then again, you could eat right in your car then as well.
Our family ordered cheese burgers, mushroom and swiss burger and mini corn dogs with sides of cheese curds and regular fries. However, everything from shrimp to BBQ was also available. Sides and sandwiches are ordered separately, so can choose to split an assortment of sides or stick to just a sandwich. They do have kids size drinks for at least milk and soda, and mom and dad ordered shakes today - standard chocolate and strawberry this time, but actually 27 flavors or so to pick from.
Cheese curds were fried perfectly - melted but staying in the breading. Mini corn dogs were a little past what they could be, but looked to be a new menu item, so may still be getting the timing down. Still were happy eaten by a child! Burgers were perfectly done, melt in your mouth, and good quality buns, always a great addition to a sandwich!
Next time we're up north, this will be a sure stop!

What can be said about a Subway? It needs to be consistent and fresh. The place needs to be clean too. You will find all that here. I'd rate the service a bit slower than most Subway's, but that doesn't bother me if "attention to detail" takes up that time. This town has very little to choose from and it is sad that it takes a Subway to show you what quality is all about. You wont get a four course meal here, but you will get what you paid for. Give yourself an extra fifteen minutes if you stop by on an Off Road race day at Crandon Speedway, it gets busy.

Visited there with a group for a buffet lunch. Staff is all extremely friendly, the food was very good.. all tasty, hot, far better than most buffets, the selection variety of items was excellent. Price for this was very reasonable. The only reason I did not rate this business as being excellent is because the building facility shows itself as very dated, floor a bit rough, table and chairs less than fancy.
