My wife and I stopped here for dinner last Friday. WE had stopped previously and found it to be Great!. We had the same experience this time. She ordered the grilled catfish sandwich with homemade potato chips. Fish fillet was cooked just right- moist and tender but not overdone and dry. Large hogie bun even let the fish portion hang out both ends. Great chips also. I decided to do the seafood buffet even though I have a seafood allergy. I started with a fresh salad that I could fix myself from the numerous salad bar items. Excellent blue cheese dressing. I then selected fresh green beans, corn, fried okra and hushpuppies. I took several fried catfish filets and a grilled filet with lemon pepper. I also took some fried chicken- crispy outside but juicy inside. I even tried their fried frog legs- excellent and cooked just right. It's been 25 years since I've had them and these were great also. They had peel and eat shrimp, pop corn shrimp and crab cakes that I could not eat due to my allergy. I finished my meal with some chocolate pecan pie and home made banana pudding. They had at least 6 other desserts to select from. Waitress was attentive but not bothersome.

Sookies Bake Shop is a place I like to go when I am with a friend or even alone. All her products are homemade daily. The chocolate brownies are huge and unbelievably delish... Sabina has made my husbands favorite carrot cake for his birthday for the last 2 years and it is amazing! The shop has been decorated in a very tasteful way and it is always a relaxing atmosphere. Just had her chicken salad on wheat bread for linch today which is delish! Don't even ask for the recipe....its a family secret. Get there early for the best selection of cupcakes, scones, muffins and 'Sookie' buns. You won't meet a nicer lady! The shop is open Tuesday - Saturday. This place is a gem in Covington.

Ate there 02/15. Restaurant is on the main highway a bit out of town, but well worth the drive. It appears to be a remodeled Waffle House but is clean and inviting. Service is outstanding, prompt and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Your business seems to be appreciated. The menu has a wide selection of breakfast items including some that are unusual for breakfast fare.
I had eggs, true crispy bacon, hash browns, pancakes freshly made and hot while wife had a large veggie omelet. Both were fantastic. Add coffee, OJ and a glass of milk and our total before tip came to: 25.55. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely excellent service, food was very tasty. Decorations of local memorabilia provided interesting conversations and forgotten memories. If anything was lacking here it was certainly made up for in charm, kindness, and warmth. Beer is served , but you may bring your own wine with no cork fees. Desserts were excellent and would compete with any restaurant.

We eat at this restaurant almost every week and have always had good food and good service. After just a couple of visits, you feel like part of the family. Very good prices and large portions! If you enjoy down home cooking and a relaxed atmosphere, this is your place.

Unfortunately they were out of ribs when I got there so I tried the giant pulled pork sandwich and beans. The pork was tender with a good smoke flavor. The beans were rich and thick. The mild and medium sauces were excellent. The medium had just the right amount of heat. Great little hole in the wall place. Friendly owner. Very limited seating but the food is great!

Located in the heart of Covington TN, this place is a clean, well run, Mexican restaurant with a bar separate from the family dining area. Generous food portions served hot with plenty of sides. Fast service and you won't mind the bill. Well stocked bar as well. Thank you.

Given the title of my review, I don't want to over sell Wyatt Earp's. It's a fine place for Covington. Keep in mind, this is a small town and their tastes and abilities don't match those over in Memphis let alone some of the other big city dining options. But for Covington, WE's is likely the nicest game in town. The place used to be called Marlos and was a go to for me when here on business. But about a year ago tensions between the owners caused them to part ways and close the place. It reopened not long ago as Wyatt Earp's. But fortunately, not that much has changed, including the wonderful young lady behind the bar. She was terrific. The food was good, not great, but good, and was served in a pretty basic way. I had the "Jumbo Grilled Shrimp" and while they were fine, they were anything but 'Jumbo.' They were six, very standard, very modest sized shrink. Granted, they bill themselves as a steakhouse and most of the rest of my party of 10 had beef and I didn't hear a complaint from any of them. So if you are watching calories like I am, might be best to try something else unless a nice ribeye is on your diet! But overall, if you find yourself in Covington, it''s worth giving this place a try.
