I’ve been to Hobos many times. I’ve never been disappointed. The food is always great. I highly recommend the fried chicken, but I’ve had several things on the menu and all have been very good! There is occasionally a wait to be seated, but the staff seems well trained on how to handle the situation and seems to do their best to accommodate everyone.
The building has been recently updated and has always been clean. The people have been friendly, the beer cold and the food hot!

We stopped in with friends for lunch and we all opted for their pizza and salad lunch combo. The salad was crisp and fresh and quite tasty. We all had different pizzas, but they all came out of the oven piping hot and were very...MoreThanks, Jim! Hope to see you again soon. If you didn’t try the quinoa special, stop in before it’s gone. Although, next month’s special is spicy and is one of our favorites.

Soooo NOT worth the money. I paid $4.75 for an 8oz (that's right, only 8oz) caramel latte that wasn't nearly as good a Starbucks! I couldn't even taste the coffee underneath all of the milk and caramel...was there even any espresso in there?? Plus, I was unable to get skim or even 2% milk... had to go full fat or nothing. Very dissappointed. I'll save my money next time for Starbucks!! My daughter ordered a hot chocolate that wasn't even very chocolatey. It tasted more like milk and cream than a true milk or dark chocolate flavor. She's only 4 and LOVES chocolate, but she wouldn't even drink it. She only ate the whip cream off the top. Again, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

A solid, though standard, road side stop featuring a diverse menu of dairy-centered concoctions. While the service left something to be desired, the welcoming atmosphere and tasty ice cream made for a worthwhile, if imperfect, experience.

I was excited to find that the store had opened. It is a short drive from my family’s home so it was an easy run to pick up hot donuts as we visited them. It is a standard Krispy Kreme facility but it does present a challenge accessing. Now that we know where it is the app will tell me when the hot light is on so next weekend when we visit again I can make a short run to pick up hot donuts

We just love going to Erio's Ristorante. The Italian cuisine is authentic and absolutely scrumptious. Their menu provides a vast selection of Italian soups, salads, main entrees and yes, desserts, too. The Italian ambiance is charming and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I would recommend making reservations; especially on weekend evenings!

Wonderfully prepared plates with meats and fish that were generous in portion and either unprocessed or minimally so. We tried the grouper tacos, pork tacos and chicken and brie sandwich. Two had the home made chips which went with the main orders which are great and very ample in amount. At $ 10.50, $10.50 and $12.00 these offerings were all we could consume, in fact two took half home for a later meal.
Service was on the spot with Kristen who was congenial and handled all without a hitch.
We will certainly return.

Family owned and operated Italian bakery. We specialize in cakes, Italian cookies, chocolates, pastries, desserts, and coffee. We also offer Panini and Quiche.
There is no higher praise to be given by us than to say that J Noto Bakery, located at 336 S. Main Street, St. Charles, MO, approaches perfection in their handcrafted chocolates, in their cookie platters, and in their individual selections. Though we were just passing through St. Charles when we came upon this find, when in the Bakery, we heard only high praises from locals regarding their cakes. For myself, with significant Sicilian relatives in my family, the Cucidadas, anise cookies, biscotti and cannoli's were "quite authentic". And I am quoting my relatives just after delivering our J Noto Bakery gifts to them. The chocolate turtles were devoured before we ever got to our home destination. Scrumptious! Oh! I did forget one thing. The "Chocolate-covered Bacon". This, in itself, is well worth the trip to St. Charles. Also, Kendele (Chef) and Uncle made this visit quite memorable. They made us feel like family. We plan to return quite soon.

This had been my favorite all time Doughnut Shop and I pass a few to get to it--never have had a problem before and have done large orders several times. This time was so bad that I will not use them again for a large order. I don't mind coming in to pick them out myself and see what I am getting--but, would NOT recommend that you pre-order your doughnuts. I placed an order for the Welcome Breakfast for the teachers at Bryan Middle School and needed 5 dozen MIXED doughnuts. I trusted them because I have used them on other occasions. I never checked the boxes. As I was setting up my items I found ONE and a HALF Dozen Plain Glazed Doughnuts out of 5 Dozen. That is like getting 4 plain glazed doughnuts if you asked for a dozen mixed. REALLY--for teachers??? Maybe for kids--but, not what i wanted to serve my teachers. Plus, the variety of the cake doughnuts wasn't even the normal favorites--like blueberry and stuff. And lastly they were not what I would say is fresh. I'm not sure--but, they didn't look like my normal orders. When I went back to clean up at the end of the day there were still 11 1/2 plain glazed doughnuts sitting on the tray. So, I STOPPED by to talk to someone--that day (8/8). They took my information and said someone would contact me. Never happened--so, I went to their web site and sent a CONTACT US EMAIL. I got an automated reply saying that someone would get in touch with me and also a copy of my email. I have not heard from anyone and so I am writing this to explain my 2 star rating.

Chef Carl McConnell and his wife, Nancy, searched for many years to find the perfect location to open their intimate fine dining restaurant. Nestled in the heart of historic Cottleville, Missouri, Stone Soup Cottage took root in 2009, and Carl and Nancy opened a door into a culinary world that very few diners are able to explore. Stone Soup Cottage is open to the public only a few nights a week, offering a six-course tasting menu and wine flights. Awarded 2010 Best Restaurant by St. Louis Magazine, Best New Restaurants by the St. Louis Post Dispatch in 2009, and 2010 Top 5 Regional Restaurants in the United States by The Week Magazine, Stone Soup Cottage offers just one seating of up to 40 guests and one seasonal tasting menu a night. The prix fixe menu changes every month and offers an opportunity to embrace classically prepared European fare, focusing on the regions of southern France and northern Italy. Coined the hardest reservation to secure in the area, Stone Soup Cottage brings seasonal elegance, hospitality and fine, French inspired cuisine to guests night after night. On September 20, 2013, Stone Soup Cottage relocated to the Wiese Farm, approximately 1 mile away from its current location. It was the next logical step for this farm to fork restaurant to be located on the very farm that supplies the majority of their produce. The McConnell's purchased 6.5 Acres overlooking the fields and ponds. The new restaurant sits on the exact location where the Wiese Family barn stood. The original 1930's barn was carefully dismantled piece by piece and re-purposed in the new structure. It was important to utilize as much of the original barn into the new home of Stone Soup Cottage once it was learned the barn could not be saved. Guests will experience the same intimate dining approach that they have come to love at the new location while enjoying breathtaking views of surrounding farm.
My husband and I have been fortunate to dine at Stone Soup Cottage numerous times since it first opened and each experience has been an incredible journey ... wonderful service, beautiful presentation, and amazing cuisine. The cottage is elegant and welcoming, and Chef Carl and his wife Nancy have created an oasis of peaceful charm that lends a special magic to each dinner. Tasting menus change once per month and the wine pairings are a must - as much thought and care go into the wine selection as the cuisine and they complement each other wonderfully. Chef Carl presents his dishes to guests at table, taking the time to explain his choice of ingredients and methods of preparation. And then guests are left to experience the incredible, delicate balance of flavors in each dish ... your taste buds will sing!
Stone Soup Cottage stands alone as one of the most unique fine dining establishments in the greater St. Louis area - if you are looking for a special place to celebrate an anniversary or birthday, or enjoy expertly prepared cuisine that showcases seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, this is the place for you. Pick a date ... book a table ... and prepare yourself for an incredible, intimate meal.
