Cordova /kɔːrˈdoʊvə/, /ˈkɔːrdəvɒ/ is a small town located near the mouth of the Copper River in the Valdez-Cordova Census Area, Alaska, United States, at the head of Orca Inlet on the east side of Prince William Sound. The population was 2,239 at the 2010 census. Cordova was named Puerto Cordova by Spanish explorer Salvador Fidalgo in 1790. No roads connect Cordova to other Alaskan towns, so a plane or ferry is required to travel there. In the Exxon Valdez oil spill of March 1989, an oil tanker ran aground northwest of Cordova, heavily damaging ecology and fishing.

In fact they are crave worthy. However we went twice and each time were about the only people there and it took 25 minutes for a simple taco lunch. I would hate to see them when busy. The two servers spent a lot of time gossiping loudly so that customers could hear. Probably fine for locals?

Clam chowder was excellent. The fish tacos bland. Could be improved by grilling the fish, not deep frying. The fish/chips was too many chips, not much fish. Service excellent.

Harborside is a unique wood fired pizza shop, featuring an Italian Wood Fired oven, homemade sauce, fresh hand tossed pizza, quality ingredients, and great customer service. New York inspired Alaskan flare...
The pizza was average. They advertise a wood oven.. I could seen zero evidence of any char on the pizza. It was fine. The noise level however was almost intolerable.. the servers clank the dishes and glasses around and yell at each other. the place is too packed with tables too close and the cooks are very very noisy....

A favorite amoungst locals but welcoming to visitors alike. Powder House is a warm and friendly watering hole with great food to satisfy everyone. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes offered. A good size selection of meals to choose from. Don't pass it up ( it's easy to miss) on the edge of town on the main highway.

OH MY!!!! What a delight to find this place. Looking for a hot coffee or expresso and a tasty snack? This is the place to go.
Located on the north side of the small boat harbor it can easily be missed but you don't want to pass it by. Breads, cookies, scones and other tasty treats. I lived the focaccia bread covered in peppers and olives.... Two slices for lunch did the trick.

I had the fish and chips. Expensive for a trailer, and they only take cash. Portion was large. Food was good.

Not bad for dinner. Expensive compared to the lower 48. But you eating Chinese when your in the mood. Egg drop soup is great. Beef with broccoli good, sweet and sour spot on. Love the pork and chicken sweet and sour. Noodles awesome.
Pupu platter a little sad. Egg rokls lack flavor, wontons had sugar on them.....
Good flavor just not the best.
Meals take awhile to be served. Wait staff improving.

I could sit there all night with a cup of coffee and a good book. The ladies are so kind, the drinks are served hot, and goodies are baked by them! My only complaint, they aren't open all the time. :(
